The monitor I purchased is a Dell 27 Inch Curved Gaming Monitor, model S2722DGM. The 27 inch “curved” screen offers a wide variety viewing angles not seen on most flat screen monitors. I’ve only had the monitor for about 2 weeks now so my review won’t be very long. I already have a 27-inch curved monitor made by “GTEK” and then a 24-inch flat monitor both mounted on a “Y” configuration clamped onto the table so that both monitors are side by side, and the display is extended across both. They are both connected to a Dell 17-inch Alienware laptop. It came with one terabyte hard drive installed and I installed a 4-terabyte hard drive as a second hard drive. The main reason I bought the monitor was to match the other 27-inch curved monitor. It came with 32gb of memory ... So far, the picture is awesome, and I don’t see any hesitation in the image, no flickering, and the resolution of the image is great! I am using th miniport on my laptop to the DP on one monitor and the USB-C thunderbolt 4 port to the DP on the other monitor. No hesitation at all between monitors, it actually solved a problem with the way videos were played on my system. Originally I was using the HDMI port and a USB-A port with an adapter for the other monitor. Now everything works just fine, I’m happy with my new Dell monitor very much!

I honestly have nothing bad to say about this monitor! I have, over the years, had my ups and downs with Dell products but I can’t say anything bad about this screen. The refresh rate is fantastic, the screen brightness is incredible and even the baked-in defaults for color modes are great, I didn’t have to do any customization to get the image clarity and vividness I was looking for on my games. This also works very well as a work station PC and the colors/brightness/contract work well with spreadsheets and document viewing as well. I haven’t tried the built-in speakers yet, so I can’t attest to the quality of sound. The blue LED on the bottom is a nice touch as well, though I would be fine if that was removed. It’s a very low, blue light that shines in your desk ... MoreI honestly have nothing bad to say about this monitor! It’s a very low, blue light that shines in your desk from the bottom of the screen. I thought it might be too bright and cause distractions, but it’s hardly noticeable. Just a cool, slight glowing effect. Overall I’m very pleased with this screen and would recommend it highly.

Picked 2 of these up with the insanely good deal on Cyber Monday, after alot of research. Great reviews on multiple sites so I had high hopes.I was not disappointed. Very good color, easily corrected to near perfect, good brightness and better than expected performance for the price point.I'm not a fan of curved monitors, but the 1800 is a gentle curve that isn't distracting for productivity work, but still enough, especially with two, for immersive gaming. My only gripe, which is a minor one, is that the controls are on the side, and not reachable from the bottom. This only problematic if you're using them in a pair though, so it's a very minor gripe. A couple of usb ports would be helpful too, but not expected at this price point.Highly recommended.

The monitor works perfectly and arrived with no damage (even to packaging). I feel it's an excellent choice for the price. The color depth, contrast, and black level are all excellent. The side-to-side viewing angle is the maximum it can be; vertically, there is some color & contrast loss if the user has the screen positioned higher or lower than what I would consider normal field of vision. Full disclosure, my graphics card does not produce full 4K resolution, but at a resolution of 1920x1200, everything is crystal clear, even when text is artificially reduced in the apps. I have no hesitation recommending this monitor. I do not use this for gaming, but I can report that full-screen movies have absolutely no choppiness - completely smooth action, even on scenes ... I bought 2 of these to replace my 1080p curved monitors. The few things I like about these new monitors- excellent video quality- nice gaming design- nice curvature- came with excellent warranty program- nice qualityI originally bought another brand monitor at first but when I opened them from brand new boxes, the screens were defective on one and scratched on another. I was so disappointed & returned them. I went online to do some research and discovered good reviews from users for Dell monitors so after looking for a bit, I decided on these and am very happy with my selection.I can't vouch for any gaming features as I use my monitors mostly for working at home but they have been excellent for what I am using them for.
Monitor and VA screen is excellent. No VA ghosting or smearing i cant see when gaming. The only thing i didnt like is the stand it came with, Its wobbly and not straight. The base of the stand is a few degrees off when looking staight at monitor. My Dell P2719H stand does not wobbly the monitor if you bump the desk, its way more stable. The stand for this S2722DGM seems loose at the base and loose at the attchment neck to monitor. So you get a back and forth and side to side wobbly. I've alway had good luck buying dell monitors still have Dell P2719H and S2316M been working for years now with no problems. The S2722DGM is my 3rd Dell monitor and im sure the monitor will last me for years to come without problems.
This monitor I got due to doing so much research on so many others out there. It was between this or the Scepture. Overall it’s a great monitor! I play a lot of call of duty ranked and I can tell you I came from a 60in 4k tv and the smoothness is so much better. It’s crazy I’m winning more gun fights, seeing people a lot more quicker and not only that I have more of vision of the screen than my 60in. I run my Xbox series C off of 1040p and at 120fps. This monitor is 1440p but the Xbox doesn’t go that high but that’s fine. Only issue I really only can assure you of is the color it’s kind of dull. Which I don’t care for though. The performance on this monitor is more than enough for me but for sure I would highly recommend this. Anybody coming from TV’s or anything ... If you play games that blacks and dark scenes are important (TheForest, skyrim, resident evil, ect), this va monitor will suit your needs, ESPECIALLY if ips glow was ruining your immersion in those games. It does run @165hz (make sure to change the monitor speed to 165hz in windows and use the DP cable (Hdmi willl do 144 though)Unfortunately mine did have a defect, as i was noticing some small cloud like shapes up top on a pitch black screen, so i returned it and am waiting for my refund (only removed 1 star for that since dell has the 30 day love it or return it program, which is why i decided to try a dell this time instead).I ended up buying the 32 inch version in store (dell s3222dgm), also VA and 165hz. Colours look good, ips is abit brighter as expected, but the blacks.ajd dark scenes on this monitor look way better than ips can do.( id say go 27 inch if your face is close to your screen, and 32 if its on a decent size desk and there is a bit of distance between your face and the screen)Overall: Honestly i really, really love it in 32 inch! Playing games on this on thing is so great. I play cyberpunk,starcraft2,TheForest2, skyrim, Assetto Corsa, Resident evil 7 and 8, and the monitor in this size, the slight curve, the deeper blacks, this is exactly the experience i was looking for that ips couldnt give me.A now happy Customer and i will probably shop dell again next purchase, Maybe try an alienware monitor. next time =]
I thought that people were being dramatic about the poor viewing angles of VA LCD panels, but no: the curve of this screen isn't a perk, it's a NECESSITY for acceptable viewing. Reviewers also weren't kidding about the black-to-grey lethargy of VA panels. In simple tests, moving objects leave comet trails behind them. In games, the effect is that the image dramatically loses detail when the camera moves. Overdrive doesn't help much.Something like this should not be sold as a gaming monitor. I'm leaving two stars rather than one because, also as reviewers mention, the blacks are great. If your work involves keeping your head very stationary while looking at still images, this monitor might serve you well.
Movement blur and random tearing has always been a gaming issue. This monitor does not have any of those issues! It is replacing my workhorse Dell U2312HM which I've had for over 10 years. That's right, and it has worked with every video card I ever threw at it, from AMD to Nvidia. I am hoping for the same longevity and compatibility with the S2722DGM. People love to dis this monitor because it does not support HDR or extended colour. Whooey to that! HDR is over-rated especially for games and extended colours is in it's infancy. Tearing and blurring are the bigger issues. So far, from Halo to WoW to Skyrim the monitor has performed flawlessly. Plus, it is one of the few gaming/pc monitors out there that has height adjustment!
