I have purchased at least 50 of these monitors with the DP option. For standard regular use, they are a great monitor for the price. It comes in 3 flavors, HDMI & VGA or DP & VGA both with fixed stand or the HS option that comes with HDMI, DP & VGA with an adjustable stand and speakers.I have not had any issues with the monitors, and if you are doing work in Office, non-heavy graphic programs, or video conferencing, this is a great buy and can be your workhorse monitor. I typically go with the HS monitor for the adjustable stand, and all 3 video ports, as I never know which computer I am setting the monitor up for, and it makes if coinvent to have all 3 video options.I uses the DP fixed stand model many times as we have used them with dual monitor stands on ... MoreI have purchased at least 50 of these monitors with the DP option. Overall the monitors is lovely to look at and easy to set up. Out of a group of about 14 of these monitors, we've had 2 with faulty/touchy power cords. They'll work perfectly, then all of a sudden lose connection and the screen goes black. You can sometimes wiggle the connection or unplug/replug to get it back working - but it's a pain when you're in the middle of doing something and have to adjust your inputs and connections.

After installing the Dell 24 E2422H monitor I kept getting the following message: "No DP signal from Dell E2422H monitor" error message. I called DELL Support on 4/26/2022 and they concluded that this model has a defective port. DELL shipped a new 24 E2422H monitor. Again, I received the same message: "No DP signal from Dell E2422H monitor". DELL needs to do some serious research about this issue, especially since it has been brought up by others all over the internet. The "Dell E2422H Monitor Usage and Troubleshooting Guide" did not help me to solve the problem neither.

I have now purchased 7 of these monitors to go with the PC’S ( Optiplex 5080) for all my automotive technicians. The movement rate is excellent and picture quality is wonderful on the E2422H monitor. I had one go out after a few months but called Customer service, went through a few tests and they sent a replacement right away. Probably one of the best experiences ( given the situation of a failed component).
So far I'm loving this unit and it's on par with many of the other Dell monitors I've ordered previously. One feature that I've either missed in other units or is new in this is the ability to enable/disable the passive charging feature on the USB ports on the monitor. Makes it super convenient for charging my phone even when my laptop isn't connected to the monitor. The one gripe I have with the monitor is that I'd love if there was some type of lock to set the angle of the monitor in the horizontal/vertical orientation.
This is a good basic, affordable monitor. The image quality is good but you are not getting any of the "bells and whistles" that you get with the P2422H, but do you need those? I buy this monitor for our users who spend a bit of time at their computer in the morning and again in the afternoon. It has the same display as the P2422H, it just doesn't have the adjustable stand, USB ports and HDMI port. I prefer Display Port to HDMI anyway so, this is a good "budget" fit for our business.
The monitor is good with the size and quality, the draw back is that it does not have an HDMI port. This is crucial as most laptops only have an HDMI port, which then means you need to purchase a Display to HDMI adaptor, and many docking stations may only have 1 Display port along with other monitor connections. The price is good, but that HDMI port should be standard on all monitors.
I like this 24 inch monitor, I haven't experienced any technical issues as of yet. The picture looks great. A Display Port and power cable come included. You have the option of using the Display Port which I highly recommend or the old school VGA port. It also VESA mountable in case you plan to mount it but if you don't then there's a cover you can easily snap into place.
This was a flimsy monitor. The support for it is incredibly weak and the entire monitor wobbles when you bump the desk it sits upon. No where near as strong as the older E2400 series. The worst part about shopping Dell, is how they wont include the best parts in affordable computers, you always have to accept less (8gb ram) if you want a larger hard drive, or a smaller hard drive if you want more memory. Ruins your options for purchases. Hopefully they have given up on attempting to manipulate the hard drive prior to shipping, by partitioning the drive into a "storage" area of 90% of its capacity, and then the OS and all other files in their 'user" partition. What a bad idea. This means your "my documents" folder is stored in this 10% of the capacity area, while no ... MoreThis was a flimsy monitor. Lots of BLOATWARE from dell, and their 3rd world customer service of barely understandable customer support is hugely lacking.
The monitor itself is great. Great pricepoint that has availability of both DP and HDMI. Monitor adjusts up and down, and has VESA mounts. Internal speaker is nice thought, but quality is lacking as most internal speakers do. Monitor would be 5 stars if it had the ability to attach a Dell Speaker bar.
