Dell is always great way to buy a computer. You customize your computer enabling you to balance your needs and desires with what you can or are willing to afford. there is good tech support, you just have to exercise a little patience to connect. I found the Inspiron series of computer to be tremendously inferior to the XPS series. The XPS series has room for many more peripherals. This was my first Inspiron and I was unable to connect anything inside the case. As such I have used every single USB port and don't have an optical drive. The one problem with Dell computers is they seem to last as long as the warranty. When the warranty runs out, expect to buy a new computer.

Constantly crashes throughout the day and night. Sometimes within 20 minutes of last crash. Does a reboot and get the blue screen for Advanced Options or Continue. Nothing resolves the issue. The error in the Windows system log is "A provider, IntelMEProv, has been registered in the Windows Management Instrumentation namespace root\Intel_ME to use the LocalSystem account. This account is privileged and the provider may cause a security violation if it does not correctly impersonate user requests." I've done a factory reset twice and updated all drivers. Nothing resolves. Will return when I get home from vacation.

Good purchase, with one issue. Set up went smoothly and it seems to do all I need.Only problem is the thing will not work with a USB bus (powered). Several times a day, the entire computer just freezes! Nothing responds to the mouse or keyboard. I have to force a shutdown with the power button to get going again. I tried the online help, but that offered no help. Then tried the phone call-in process. The folks were helpful and tried, but the machine still will not work with a USB bus. I even ordered a new USB bus that, but that was no help. I was able to relocate the unit to the top of my desk which gives me easy access to both the front and back USB ports. This allows me to use everything I need. Nevertheless, I wonder if this thing is OK. For a week now, I've had ... MoreGood purchase, with one issue. I'm replacing my 7 year old Dell laptop, which is still a great computer, but the processor isn’t approved for windows 11. Since i no longer do CAD i went with a less expensive model this time. So far I'm very impressed with the speed and ease of use.If i had it to do over the only thing i would do different is to not purchase the Migrate program. I had some programs with extensive libraries. I was hoping it would transfer them in tact, but it only transfered a link to download the program and all the references. I could have done that without a program. It did move all my personal files (approximately 49,000), but I could have done that faster with my portable back up drive. The computer itself is great, love it. Fast boot up and internet access. I didn’t realize it would come with a keyboard and mouse - that was an unexpected bonus. It is extremely quiet compared to my laptop. I wish it came with a manual. I assume there is a digital manual included. I just haven't found it yet.
Ever since I've gotten this computer, I've been ecstatic. I've been able to play games I never could have imagined, do things my laptop could have never dreamed of. Yet, Everything always felt like it came to a weird boil. Windows 11 is my main gripe with this PC; The fact it was forced even moreso. I'm not exactly certain what has happened with this computer, but for some reason, on multiple occasions, Windows 11 will just randomly fail to boot correctly. I genuinely feel like this hampers the mood sometimes, where I'd boot it up, just to be met with a screen recommending me to restart the PC, just for a chance to get the same screen after the restart. The functions that the desktop gives me is ecstatic, and having this rainbow fridge just casually sitting on my desk feels amazing sometimes. But, when it just proceeds to fail (Which I don't completely blame on Dell, Microsoft has their dirty mitts in there I'm sure) It can't help but stress me out a bit, being afraid of if a file on my pc has been corrupted or not. For additional context; I have factory reset this PC on multiple occasions, and still, the issue persists.
I have my Dell Inspiron 3030 Desktop computer since May 8th, 2024. So far I am extremely pleased with it. When I first got it, I needed to have help to set it up and the Dell technicians helped me and I was very pleased with them. Btw, this is probably my 3rd or 4th Dell computer. The last one that I had lasted me 10.5 years and I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT! I NEVER even had to call tech support in the 10.5 years I had my last computer. I love Dells and I hope they are the same wonderful computers that they have been in the past!! This computer is lightning fast. Applications and websites open in a second or two. So far it's a fantastic computer! Highly recommend!
Computer came in well packed. Only a small paper as information booklet but it was enough as installation and set-up went quite well. Nice improvemment as i went from i5 6500 processor 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage with windows 10 to i7 14700 processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage with windows 11. Since i'm using my computer for every day life (i'm not playing games except chess) that computer is quite enough for my needs. After more than three weeks i had no problems with the computer whatsoever. I personnaly think that the quality/price ratio of the Inspiron Desktop 3030 is quite good. I'm happy with my Dell computer purchase. Thank you Dell.
Great that I no longer have to connect to pc under the desk and that this is actually a "desktop" computer! So far no problems and Windows 11 is pretty intuitive. It was a help to have all my previous programs listed with an easy link to install - even when not compatible with Windows 11! Didn't have much luck with the program compatibility trouble-shooter but no problem as I found a more recent Windows 10 download that works fine with Windows 11. I forgot to check for customisation options when I ordered as this is not standard but I have bought a cheap plug-in DVD drive which works fine and is actually quite convenient to use. I have also bought an inexpensive docking station for my old 3.5" hard drive which again is convenient as I can recover the files I want ... MoreGreat that I no longer have to connect to pc under the desk and that this is actually a "desktop" computer! This is a great piece of kit, it was easily configured and no bloatware, which is always a bonus. I had set aside a few hours to get this up and running the way I wanted, but it took a much shorter time. My router connected first time, and after that I was on the road. On my previous desktop I had to use a USB hub because of the lack of onboard USB points, but not so with this. There are ample USB connections both fast and standard. I have 3 external hard drives connected and this machine takes all these in it's stride. Windows 11 proved to be easily adapted with personal preferences. So far this has proved a very enjoyable piece of kit to use. It has already been used for video and photo enhancement with no issues at all. I am old school and a laptop just isn't going to do it for me. I don't need all the latest features, but having sufficient memory for me to conduct my home business on a desktop computer is important, and this tower computer delivered. I am happy with the way it has been performing with Microsoft Word and my other applications. The one issue that came up for me is that I was unfamiliar with the additional port for a second screen. I used the HDMI port for the first monitor, but I learned that I needed an HDMI adapter for the second monitor. Thanks to Geek Squad, I was able to locate what I needed, and I have no complaints. Quality investment!
