I purchased the Dell Pro Wireless keyboard and mouse combination to use while working/studying from home. The key board has a number pad, which I find essential for book keeping and data entry. Both are comfortable to use and responsive. The keyboard is stable, with anti-slide feet and pads, the keys are spaced like a desktop computer keyboard. The mouse works well, has a great shape, however lacks a feature available on other brands that allow you to move forward or back in a browser. I would purchase again.

I returned this order. I was trying to replace the Dell wireless keyboard and mouse that I currently have. I bought my Dell computer and accessories in 2011! Hard to believe, do you think?! I have a local company as my computer security and they tell me that my Dell computer is a wonderful computer! Yes, it has been. My only issue now is the scroll wheel on my original wireless mouse has stopped working. But the mouse still works...I am "limping" along! This KM5221W is cheap; poor quality; and even the instructions were NOT correct. I had wanted a comparable keyboard (only because some of the lettering on the keyboard has worn off. But since I don't need that lettering; and since the KM5221W mouse is terrible; I am settling to keep on using my 2011 equipment! Please ... MoreI returned this order. Please - DELL - hoping that one day when I must buy a new computer - I will be able to replace it with a quality DELL which I have used for 11 years! Hoping it keeps on going like the Energizer Bunny! It is concerning that DELL quality might be a thing of the past.

i was unaware that these two items weren't backlit. My error. The action is fast enough and it has tiny feet in back that will tilt it towards user. I bought these items at the same time I acquired my new Dell as they were sold alongside as an option. Additionally, since you ask, I would like that keyboard to be spread out a little larger. I'm gonna have to take care of that backlit situation, but I bought this computer for speed, not for gaming, but for music reproduction and excellent sound from external Mackie monitors. It'll do that just fine.

I love the size and feel of this keyboard and mouse. And the flexibility of not being bound by a wire is great -- I often take the keyboard and mouse with me when I travel, so I am not stuck with my smaller laptop keyboard and touchpad. The negatives: I have way more typos because the keyboard did not register a keystroke. That, combined with autocorrect on most applications, means that I really have to proofread EVERYTHING I type -- even short emails that I jot off. That is disappointing. I also get a frequent low battery warning -- on both of my keyboards and mice (I have the same model at the office.)
I rate this keyboard three stars for functionality, but there are two issues that might cause me to reduce my rating. First, it is not a silent keyboard. That is, it is louder than most to type. That's really a problem as I like to type while talking on the phone. Second, I have had random problems with typing that I am not initiating. For example, all of a sudden the plus sign starts typing in every space (email address line, subject line, workbook, word, etc). It is a crazy problem that must be related to a software problem. Initially, only a hard boot worked to stop it. Today, I found hitting ctrl, alt, delete stopped the function. However, I love the programmable keys and I have never found a keyboard with programmable keys, I love it. If I am simply in the dark ... MoreI rate this keyboard three stars for functionality, but there are two issues that might cause me to reduce my rating. First, it is not a silent keyboard. Great Keyboard & Mouse combo - The keys are not clicky, which I do enjoy, but after using it for a while, I find that maybe it's not necessary. The key locations are right where I would expect them. The mouse feels a little large in my hand, but it's not alkward, I got used to it pretty quickly. The one problem I did have was in setup. It's not immediately clear which way the battery goes into the mouse. However, I got it to work by testing it one way, then the other. So, it wasn't very hard to figure out, it just wasn't straight up obvious where the + and - go right out of the gate.
I purchased this setup a week or so ago and I do like the new quiet keys on the keyboard and the wireless aspect as the distance from my desktop to where my keyboard sits stretches a wired keyboard to it's max. I'm not impressed at all with the responsiveness of the keys from the keyboard or the movement of the mouse. I primarily work in Autocad and the lack of responsiveness is killer for me, maybe this is typical for all wireless setups, if so then I'll be going back to wired. Over a 10 hour work day, I'll say I am probably losing a good half hour of work performance waiting for the keyboard input or mouse movement to catch up. I'll likely be returning this purchase.
Overall great keyboard and mouse. The feel of the keys when typing is pleasant, the mouse is very responsive, it is easy to connect, and easy to get batteries in and out of. The USB pairing receiver can be stored inside the mouse or keyboard, which is convenient when travelling for work. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I feel the mouse could be somewhat more ergonomic, however, this is based on the shape and comfort of me personally. If you are someone who would need a more ergonomic mouse this one may not be best suited for you but for a basic set up it's great.
This keyboard is a throwback to the last century. The model it replaced was far better. This keyboard has keys with smaller, thinner letters that are barely legible in dim light, and the symbols are so small they are almost impossible to read. Furthermore, the keys are loose in their slots and have far too much travel. Why on earth Dell would produce such a poor keyboard, when its previous model was a reasonable facsimile of a modern keyboard, is unfathomable. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Very useful devices and work very well with my laptop. I used them mainly for my office works. The mouse is very responsive and the keyboard is very comfortable to work with. The key stroke and the space between the buttons are easy. Nice products and packaging. I also got them in a very discounted price. So it’s a win win situation. I would recommend this combo for anyone who is trying to buy a new laptop. Moreover the laptop that I am working with also very useful and powerful. Thanks to dell for these products. Will order from them again in the near future. If they surely provide some good deals. Greatly appreciated.
