First impressions: Well built, nice esthetics, attractive and functional materials.Operational: Intuitive interface and button placement. Connector placement allows for easy access. Connector mating feels solid and reliable. Factory settings provide a high-quality image that (IMHO) do not need tweeking. Screen is responsive, colors are vibrant, contrast ratio provides clear delineation, improving comfortable viewing time. Docking features work first time, out of the box. PowerDelivery at 90W is suitable to maintain battery levels for even our most power hungry laptops. Daisy Chain feature works well.

These monitors are almost perfect! Amazing colors and viewing angles. The integrated USB-C hub has cleared up my desk so much! It pairs perfectly with my Latitude 5540. I even have the second monitor daisy-chained through the primary and it worked flawlessly. However, I do think that 24" is a bit small of a monitor to have 1440p or QHD resolution. I have good eyes so it is not a problem to use at 100% scaling at 1440p but anybody who has to increase scaling on 1080p is going to have a bad time. All of that considered, they are super sharp and the increased real estate is something you just can't overstate. Its amazing for productivity, I just wish they were 27" to get a more reasonable PPI (pixels per inch.)

Crystal clear display. Sleek design. Height adjustment so simple.However, two cables delivered but neither were any use to me - Both now sitting useless in a drawer.This is creating unnecessary waste / not great for environment.Disappointed that HDMI cable was not included and there was no reminder to include one when I added the monitor to the cart - this would be a simple enhancement to the online user experience and enhance customer satisfaction.Instead I spent time following up with customer care who confirmed HDMI cable should be ordered separately.HDMI cable sourced elsewhere as a result.Review would have been 5 star only for this.

You have the wrong tech and/or components (cost savings I assume?) on the main PCB.I am considering returning both...haven't decided yet though...trying to find a reason to avoid doing so actually.3) Panel BacklightBoth panels show issues with panel brightness at the edge. Strangely enough it is NOT a typical light "bleed-through", instead the panels are both dim at the left & right edges. This of course affects the quality of the display, not just colours, but text rendering as well.I really did NOT expect to see this kind of a problem with a display at this price level.

The IPS panel is fantastic with great viewing angles, the colors are great, text is clear and sharp, and the screen is bright.I have the monitor mounted on a stand in portrait orientation. My previous monitor had a reduction in the viewing angle compared to landscape, but with this monitor was pleasantly surprised to find no issues with the viewing angle in portrait orientation.The monitor also has the ability to act as a USB charger, which is a nice feature. The thin bezel is also nice as it reduces the gap between adjacent monitors.Overall I'm highly pleased. While it is a great monitor it didn't fit our needs. We were hoping to use this as an alternate solution to our other low availability Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitors. However, the benefits of the higher resolution weren't as beneficial when paired with the loss of screen size. Part of this could have been preempted if I had noticed the 23.8" screen size mentioned in the description. However, I missed that and the "Dell 24 Monitor" title paired with the "P2423D" model name was very misleading in expecting this to be a 24" monitor. While you think that .2" isn't much. It is on the diagonal and results in almost an inch lost to the height of the monitor. This entire monitor bezel and all can fit within the screen space of our current Ultrasharp 24". Unboxing and setting ... MoreWhile it is a great monitor it didn't fit our needs. We were hoping to use this as an alternate solution to our other low availability Dell Ultrasharp 24" monitors. However, the benefits of the higher resolution weren't as beneficial when paired with the loss of screen size. Part of this could have been preempted if I had noticed the 23.8" screen size mentioned in the description. However, I missed that and the "Dell 24 Monitor" title paired with the "P2423D" model name was very misleading in expecting this to be a 24" monitor. While you think that .2" isn't much. It is on the diagonal and results in almost an inch lost to the height of the monitor. This entire monitor bezel and all can fit within the screen space of our current Ultrasharp 24". Unboxing and setting up the monitor I instantly felt this loss in size. Placing the monitor next to our current 24" and the difference is stark.For those that are not worried about hitting a true 24" size then I can definitely recommend this monitor. It looks great and functions great with a crisp and clear display. Though do be aware that if you are coming from the Ultrasharp line of monitors, moving to the Professional line, expect differences in brightness/contrast/color/saturation. Individually the monitor looks great, but when side by side with our current Ultrasharp monitor the whites look more like greys and other colors don't pop nearly as nicely on the Ultrasharp. Though that was an expectation going into this as those are the selling points of getting an Ultrasharp panel.Pros:-Well made minimal design is attractive while not being too in your face about it. Great for fading into the background and letting you get your work done. The removal of the Dell branding from the front of the monitor makes for a sleek black finish that is unmarred by company logos.-While on the smaller side of my preference, the QuadHD resolution definitely gives back in the screen real estate space.-Has all the basic features needed for a quality daily driver monitor.Cons:-Not a true 24" monitor, while stated in the description, the name and model number can be misleading to allow you to assume that this is actually 24". The loss of that .2" diagonal is stark if used to full 24" or using it next to an actual 24".-Colors and brightness are not up to par with Ultrasharp monitors, but to be honest that was not a selling point. You will still get a great experience from this monitor and if those features are important then there is the Ultrasharp line for you.
Very happy with this monitor. I use it to connect to my Dell Latitude 5310 laptop via a USB-C cable (supplied with the monitor) along with a Dell wireless keyboard and mouse. Perfect. Decent resolution - fine for my needs (documents, spreadsheets). Plenty of other ports to connect devices but not required by me as yet. Cables route nicely out the back of the monitor. Able to position monitor for a comfortable viewing height/angle. Great value for money.
I have had a U2415 24" 1920x1200 (WUXGA) monitor for a few years now and decided I would like to have another as a second screen. The U2415 isn't available any more but entering WUXGA in the Resolution section of the Dell website shows just one model - the P2423. I thought that a Professional model wouldn't be quite as sharp as an Ultrasharp and perhaps it isn't but the difference is very small indeed and for the price the image quality is excellent.The physical size and geometry of the P2423 is identical to that of the U2415 and at a casual glance they look identical standing side by side. It was also possible to balance the brightness and colour to be very close to each other - I am not a graphics professional however so perhaps not as picky in this regard as ... But I quickly got used to it. I installed a Linux Applet to control Brightness using DDC/CI so rarely need to make any adjustments using the monitor buttons now .
very nice monitor but a couple of small issues. The first is the brightness. Its not very bright. I have it next to an older Dell monitor and the old one outshines this newer one, even though it has fewer fancy features and lower resolution. The second ins the thin bezel edges. Good idea, in concept. But if you have a web cam that sits on the top you will find that it hangs over some of the screen, making it unreadable in that region.
