The monitor is great. HOWEVER, they did not send a DP cord with the monitor and I spent 3 days talking with tech support etc. Finally I called sales and they got me the correct cords. Your instruction sheet is Horrible. Bad pictures, and no written. I still have my first Dell computer manual and it is so detailed and excellent. Some of Dell's quality and gone downhill.

The monitor arrived in a box with no padding for it other than a plastic bag wrapping it. The stand and cables were wrapped in bubble wrapping, but the monitor had no cushioning at all and could shift around in the box freely. Aside from that, the monitor is in very good condition. There are only minor scuff marks on the monitor itself, and the stand only had one or two small nicks in it. There was one stuck pixel, but some gentle massaging got it working properly. Overall, a good buy at the price I paid, but I would recommend packing the devices better in the future.
It's a nice monitor in the "old school" 4x3 aspect ratio. I got it exactly for that reason--it's fits nicely on a 4-foot desk where it's used as a dual monitor connected to a 15-inch laptop. As this monitor uses IPS technology, the color and viewing angles are quite good. Some people might be bothered by the change in text size when moving windows from a laptop screen to this screen--the type will appear enlarged compared to your laptop. Frankly, since I adjust the laptop display to 125% to make the screen readable, the difference in pixel pitch is scarcely noticable to me. If you have eagle eyes and don't need to enlarge your laptop's display, then the difference will be quite apparent if you do a lot "Window shifting" between screens.

You snap and twist it together in two seconds. It works as expected and I love it.BONUS: Two USB ports on the monitor. For these USB ports to work and sync you need to connect the monitor to the computer via the USB (in addition to the HDMI cable). Maybe thats what the USB cable and port behind the monitor are there for (and not to be the primary means of connecting the monitor to the computer). Very nice picture, clear and sharp. The new computer I recently bought needed an HDMI cable to connect, and my old monitor wouldn't work, so I chose this one because I have a small space to put the monitor. This one fit perfectly. It has the ability to move up or down on the stand to fit the space.
My wife wanted a second monitor for the iMac, and we chose this one because it has nearly the same screen height as her 24 iMac. It also has a near square shape which looks nicer beside her iMac. Normal monitors are too wide and take up too much space.Of course, the downside is the low resolution compared to the iMac, but since it's just an auxiliary monitor for secondary apps, it is good enough. I like that this monitor has HDMI input whereas a lot of the other models from other brands only have VGA or DVI. Bought this 19 diagonal Dell to replace my old one. Unfortunately, it doesn't raise up very high and doesn't clear the height of my laptop screen so it's always knocking into it whenever I open my laptop. I also wish the base was smaller and less blocky so it didn't take up as much space on my small desk in my small apartment. But functionally, it's fine and was easy to set up (except for the audio -which took a lot of sleuthing and trial/error. The online users' manual didn't have anything instructional re: how to get audio after the monitor's hooked up to the laptop.)
