Declutter your life - Great all in one display

The speakers are small as they are in the sound bar below the display. Audio sounded much the same as canned audio from a basic quality laptop - good highs and mids - but no lower end bass response. As far as downsides go, that would be the only one for this unit.I liked the hub features of the display - extra USB ports and a network port on-board is definitely good in taking the pressure off of my dock. Packing some options into this device to make it versatile for either a desktop display or use in places like a small conference room.If you consider needing a display with camera, mic, speakers, the price point is not that bad off - which is a good justification for dropping these on company workstation situations.

Go Big with 5K Resolution

The 38" monitor is a more recommended cost-effective option if your work does not require the precise resolution requirements from a 5K monitor. However, we highly recommend them both!

Good camera, display and I/O, but the onboard speakers are worst-in-class.

At 1440P and 1080P, the camera is pretty sharp and the colors seemed fine, although I did not perform any detailed color tests.- The microphone produced clear, intelligible audio, easily sufficient for video conferencing. It is not a studio-grade microphone, of course, but for everyday work with Meet/Zoom/Teams and the like, the participants on the other end of the call will be able to hear you clearly.- I didn't do any exhaustive tests with the display in terms of viewing angle, color reproduction, latency and the like, but the 1440P panel was a perfectly reasonable and comfortable display to use for the purpose described and general productivity work.- The I/O is pretty complete, including USB-C charging (90W) and all the ports you would generally need for a 1-cable connection to your computer.Cons:- The speaker system is entirely inadequate. External speakers are a *must* because the built-in ones are unusable. To say that it was tinny would be an understatement. While they were sufficiently loud the quality of the audio was akin to that of low-end laptops in the late 1990's. The speakers on this device are easily the worst in class relative to other devices I have used in this category. And that is unfortunate because of the "Pros" mentioned above. (The very similar looking U3223QZ has a far better speaker system, which, although it is nothing amazing, is a very comfortable daily-driver that I use regularly.)Listening to music and speech was literally painful. I switched to the audio output of my Chromebook which has run-of-the-mill audio, and it was night-and-day. The laptop had far more body, less distortion, and was overall a completely comfortable listening experience (all while playing at the same or even louder volume levels) -- exactly the opposite of P2724DEB speaker system.Unless this display is used with external speakers/headphones (or even the laptop's bult-in speakers), the speakers are so bad as to disqualify this device as a video-conferencing display.

Great monitor, but not worth the extra cost.
23 April 2024

This monitor is very close to the U4021QW, but there are some things that set it apart in addition to one concern. First, the thunderbolt hub monitors are so much better than having a docking station.I have one power cable to plug in the monitor and one thunderbolt connection to my laptop. It really cleans up my desk and reduces the amount of cables that I have to use. Second, the positive improvements that the U4025QW have compared to the U4021QW are IPS Black Technology, better brightness, better contrast ratio, and a better refresh rate. I also really like the drop down USB A/C ports on the bottom of the monitor. You can push the drop down back up into the monitor to hide the ports if you don't want to use them. They come in handy to charge your phone, plug in your headphones for charging, or plug in a USB A receiver if you are still using a mouse that isn't Bluetooth. I wish there were specific printed instructions on using the KVM feature. I figured it out after playing with it a bit. The monitor does a decent job walking you through the setup, but I prefer printed instructions in the box. The one concern that I have is that it appears to be using a Displayport 1.4 connection which can only do 60hz. If you use that Displayport you won't get to fullest capability of 120hz out of this monitor. I wish Dell would have put a Displayport 2.1 connection in the monitor. In conclusion, I think it is a really good monitor, but I don't think it is worth the extra cost compared to the U4021QW.

I love this 27 inch monitor
25 April 2024

I have been testing this monitor for 2 weeks and am very pleased with it. The P2724DEB is an improvement over the C2722DE, which I find to be distractingly beautiful. The P2727DEB has a soundbar (microphone?) at the top of the monitor. The microphone is far less likely to pick up sounds from under the monitor (keyboard or cat snoring) than the C2722DE. ALSO, when my dogs started barking (loudly) in the next room my caller swore that the barking could not be heard. The camera has the ability for some adjustment which makes this short user more easily seen. I highly recommend this monitor as an excellent conferencing monitor and a great value.I have no true criticism for this monitor. Dell has been making the best monitors for a long time now and I have a gripe. The ports are only visible when I position myself under the monitor and use a flashlight. This requires some gymnastics that would be better avoided. I recently tested another manufacturer's monitor (not NEARLY as nice) but its one claim to fame was that the ports were easily visible and flat on the back of the monitor.

Occasionally loud shrieking sound with no way to resolve except disconnect from Teams call. Noticed similar shrieking sound when attempting to multi-task while on Teams call and another program plays a sound. In Windows you will see multiple speakers, thus you have to adjust sound in two places. It's like Teams calls bypass normal sound processes. Even with all sounds turned to maximum in all places certain people's voices are not understandable. Others are too loud on the flip side. But generally sound quality/volume is poor/low. My 3-year-old dot with clock is 2 to 3 times better for sound quality and they are basically given away for free. Also, was not a problem with my 5-year-old competitors 230-watt dock with conference add-on. It’s a shame that had whoever manufactures this item for Dell could have spent another $25 to $50 in parts and gotten better sound quality and a webcam that has low light sensitivity and face tracking. Dell could have charged $150 more, and it would be flying off the shelves in record numbers after people who WFH full-time hear about it. But alas the only option for decent quality conferencing while WFH is to purchase discrete webcams and speaker systems. I ended up returning and buying a Alienware gaming monitor, Dell Ultrasharp 4k webcam and the Logi Dock and am happy now. But part of me still knows there is a way to engineer this into a combination monitor, but no one seems willing to do such.

The Dell U4025QW is a fantastic productivity booster!
25 April 2024

The Dell U4025QW is a fantastic productivity booster! It enables you to see more of what you're working on with less frequent swapping between windows. It's also amazing for wide spreadsheets as it helps minimize horizontal scrolling. The gentle 2500R curve is absolutely a win. I tried an 1800R curved screen a few years back and felt like it distorted documents and text to the point it was distracting and returned it. I'm happy to report that is not the case with this monitor as the curve is much more subtle. My previous work setup consisted of a Dell 32" 4k USB-C hub monitor in extended desktop mode in conjunction with my Precision 5480 laptop. It enables you to see more of what you're working on with less frequent swapping between windows. I'll admit, it took a bit of trial and error to figure out how to position all my applications with the added space the U4025QW provides, but after a few days of playing around with it I found a happy medium. For the time being, I still have my laptop setup next to the U4025QW in extended desktop mode, but I've been keeping everything on the big screen - occasionally it's nice to have the additional space of the laptop screen but will likely close it up day to day and rely solely on the ultrawide (just need to pick up a webcam first).Other pros:- The integrated Thunderbolt 4 hub provides speedy access to my corporate network and peripherals (keyboard, mouse, DVD drive and the occasional USB flash drive).- The monitor as a whole feels very well constructed and the stand is very sturdy as well.- IPS Black truly helps with the contrast ratio- 120Hz is a plus - particularly when scrolling through long documents and websitesCons:- Perhaps the screen bezels are a bit large but it's hardly worth mentioning.- There's no doubt the asking price is high, ultimately you get what you pay for.Full disclosure, I received this monitor as part of the Dell Seed Program - very thankful to be included! The fact of the matter is, I bought one for use in my home office as well - it's that enjoyable to use.

The perfect WFH Package, Monitor, Webcam, Mic, Speakers, and Dock all in one.
10 April 2023

This is an excellent conferencing monitor. It's a good size screen with a clear, sharp, bright display. The refresh rate is only 60hz so it's not great as part of a gaming rig, but as a workplace or remote working monitor it is near perfect! The built in speakers are surprisingly good (but only 5w which is great for a personal monitor, not so good if you are trying to fill a room with sound). The Webcam is 1080P, it's a little noisy compared to my 720p laptop webcam but the color reproduction is better. The built in docking station happily took my keyboard, mouse, Bluetooth headset, and network cable, feeding them to my laptop via a (slightly too short) USB-C cable and switching to a second PC via HDMI and USB.I was unable to get the slave monitor output working ... MoreThis is an excellent conferencing monitor. I can see this becoming a very popular choice for my users who want a WFH station.

Ultimate Home Office Monitor: High-Quality Display, Hub Functionality, and Superior Video Conferencing Features
17 December 2023

This Monitor has a lot of great advantages: Image is High quality and adjustable color, bright, etc. you wont get your eyes tired after hours of work. It works as a hub, everything you connect in it, automatically connects to your laptop (macbook, lenovo, etc) for example, mouse dongle, or other USD receivers. high adjustments are great, USB-C one cable for both energy, image and audio transmission is fantastic. I can always keep my macbook closed while using the monitor as the single source. Built-in camera is just fantastic, with high quality videos and a noise canceling microfone, I stoped using my noise canceling headphones during my video calls, I used to have Jabra and Plantronics Voyager 2 for calls, but after a few hours you get sick of that. the built ... MoreThis Monitor has a lot of great advantages: Image is High quality and adjustable color, bright, etc. you wont get your eyes tired after hours of work.
