60MHz of nice.
It's a lower tier monitor, (it may be the cheapest) but it does exactly what I need it to. General, high volume work flow on a nice 27" screen.Despite the price, it has a sharp picture, plenty of adjustments for colour and balance and a straightforward 60MHz refresh rate. The black plastic surround is not as thin as some of the higher end monitors, so is sort of expected, however it does come away from the screen somewhat when being manhandled around on my monitor support arm. It's not glued down. It's not a drama, just something to be aware of.As I said, mine is currently attached to one half of a dual monitor support arm set up, not the supplied stand, but it would look nice if I was using that. Dell however, is a trusted name and synonymous with quality, my main reason for choosing this monitor...and I haven't been let down, it really is a quality bargain and I love it.It arrived when Dell logistics told me it would, it was well packaged, and was up and working within five minutes of me opening the box.I'm a very happy customer.Thank you Dell.... Contrast Ratio and Eye Strain - 3000:1, or 1000:1
I have two computers in the house, and a year ago for one computer I upgraded the monitor to a Dell S2721HN, which has been perfect. I recently decided to update the monitor on the second computer, and after comparing specs decided to go with the SE2722H. I found that the 1000:1 contrast ratio on the S2721HN is actually friendlier to my eyes, less strain than the 3000:1 contrast ratio of the SE2722H. Both are excellent monitors, but for being on a computer hours every day, I prefer the lower contrast ratio, as there is less intensity of contrast between the brightest and darkest pixels. The difference was subtle, but immediately noticeable. This might be helpful to anyone who tries to reduce eye strain from frequent daily computer use. In the future I'll pay ... Don't waste your money on this!
We've had this monitor replaced 4 times now.Issues we have with the monitor you ask? Well, while working, at any given moment, the monitor will go completely black, like the power went off, then we need to wait until it decides to come back to life. Before you ask, yes, the cables are all plugged in correctly, we've even had Dell send new cables as they advised it was due to faulty cables they sent. But no, that's not it. Since it has been happening for so long, I started to take notes when it does happen. There's no rhyme or reason, but I did notice if you want to play a YouTube video, or an ad video starts/wants to play, the screen goes out. When creating and/or viewing PowerPoint for our presentations the monitor will also go completely black and then comes back ... They just continue to send us the same monitor (refurbished) and we continue to have the same issues.... Show more

Easy to install and use.
Love it! It was easy to install. It is well designed. It is easy to plug-in to the back of the screen, both the electrical outlet connection cable and the connection to my CPU cable. And, the monitor enables me to gently tilt the screen for great viewing. It is a sturdy tilt and doesn't wiggle-around while I'm viewing the screen & I can just leave it at that angle without having to readjust it each time I use my computer. I'm so happy to have a Dell Monitor. Viewing the screen is clear and easy on the eyes. (I also love the Dell Optical Wired Mouse MS 116 (Black) mouse device that I recently received!) Dell is the best brand. Thank you, Dell.... Show more

Excellent at this price point
Bought the Dell SE2422H as a tag along display to my 2nd gen Macbook Pro M1 to use with MSOffice apps, social type games, YouTube viewing, etc. Most work done with it revolves around community gatherings of sorts. So, to me, I didn't need the latest 4k, 5k resolution but a low price yet sharp display with a very goods text resolution and acceptable video screening, as the main viewing point is a video projector. I find UHD display do a better job at that than the latest high resolution display. The Dell's Text definition is excellent, as is the color rendering and warmth of videos. To that end, I highly recommend the SE2422H while it is still being offered. Couldn't do better than this dislay.... Show more

Good monitor for the price
Good monitor for the price. It provides more screen real estate than previous VGA monitor. getting the video contrast, brightness, color depth to be where i liked it to some bit of trial and error since i'm not a video expert. out of the box, the default settings needed tweaked. that is probably going to be a personal preference for most people. so far, i have no complaints, but i've only been using for a couple days. assembly was easy, don't really need instructions. however, the box contents show i am supposed to also have a VGA cable. if so, it was not in the package. will contact support... Overall good monitor - may not be ideal for MBP
The monitor was decent quality overall.Hardware:Monitor was solid, mounting options, stand was fairly sturdy compared to others in this price-point. The matte anti-glare screen is great and I prefer that over gloss.Connections:Great for this price-point, I did not expect any USB or data connections, the HDMI and VGA was expected and worked.Screen Resolution quality:This pertains to all monitors that are HD (native 1920 x 1080) and MacBooks w Retina displays. Although this is HD level resolution, it may look good for videos, gaming, but for actual computer work with text, the quality is poor. Text renders very anti-aliased (pixelated) and can appear jagged. This is using the default display resolution via HDMI and I used 3 different MacBook Pros from 2015 ... I gave this monitor 4 stars, because part of this is related to the device sending the signal and its capabilities (MacBook Pro). There are a lot of articles online about this "issue" and potential solutions from third-party display apps, font smoothing adjustments to just getting monitors with higher PPI.I ended up getting another monitor that was 2560 x 1440 (Quad HD) and it renders much better on that monitor.... Three Brand New SE2422H Monitors Terrible Quality
First the Dell Technical people I have talked to regarding problems with these monitors have been great and have done all they can to try and resolve the problems with the 3 brand new monitors they have sent to me. The design quality in these monitors is terrible. All three brand new monitors wobble left and right and up and down every time you turn the monitor on. If you have to touch the monitor screen for anything the monitor moves and wobbles. Very poor design and I'm astonished that the Dell engineers would push a monitor out to the market that have obvious structural problems. Also, the first monitor that was delivered not only had the wobbling problem but also the quality of the picture was terrible. The colors on the monitors are washed out, pictures not ... I read a lot of other reviews on this monitor and most of the people said it was a great monitor. Don't understand how any of you who gave this monitor a high rating could live with the wobble on this monitor every time you touch the screen!... Show more
