*UPDATE* 1 Day later So the issues of the first monitor bothered me enough to contact Dell to see what they could do about it. To my surprise, they said the product warranty according to the tag number was already EXPIRED!? Umm, what the heck Dell, this was a brand new monitor purchased from an authorized reseller. Anyway, they sent me back to Home Essentials Direct to resolve it. Home Essentials Direct was good enough to send me an exchange. So the second one just came, and I set it up. There's still some uniformity issues with color on the all white screen. Also there's a noticeable vignetting going on with both monitors I received, showing a brownish tint from all 4 edges of the screen to about 1.5 to 2 inches in. The second screen I just received didn't have the bad areas of darker bars of pixels, but there's noticeable areas of color shift throughout the whole screen. Now I'm contemplating whether I live with it and say good enough, or give up on Dell altogether and look at the BenQ version of a miniLED. It's disappointing that a monitor with a $4k price tag would force me to make such decisions and not just be completely satisfying. Also, I'm very concerned with how Dell is seemingly rejecting warranty coverage on these if purchased from Home Essentials Direct. *12-01-2021* There are some serious uniformity issues for such a premium priced monitor. If you look at my photos, there's a whole rectangular bar of darker pixels in the upper right corner as well as some through the lower middle of the screen. It almost looks like "burn-in" which makes me suspicious if I was issued a factory refurbished monitor for a NEW Monitor price. I bought this monitor to replace my 10yr old U3011 that has finally gasped it's last breathe after a few months of showing signs of failure. The pixel density on this monitor is definitely nice and the picture is SUPER SHARP. This aspect of the monitor is very nice and the overall dimensions is actually slightly smaller than my old U3011 due to the tiny bezels. I'm just really disappointed in the horrible screen uniformity, especially if I'm going to be doing some color work on this thing. You can see that the uniformity affects all 3 colors as well. I'm in need of a monitor but at the same time, I'm contemplating returning this thing as the price tag is quite high for this kind of disappointment. I'll have to see what Home Essentials Direct or Dell suggests to do.

This is a most capable and versatile monitor. The screen is indeed "ultra sharp" with excellent contrast and clarity. The USB single cable option is very attractive where available. In my case a displayport connection was used and USB via a second cable. The built-in USB hub ports make connecting a keyboard and mouse a snap. The stand for this monitor plays an important role in how nice it is to use. Adjustable over a wide range of height and tilt users of virtually any height can be accommodated. The ability to rotate the monitor into portrait mode is a nice option too for certain applications. I'm very pleased with this high-end monitor. It delivers in my application.

I purchased this monitor so that I could switch between work and personal laptop easily. The monitor is clearly designed to do that. However, I ended up with following issues. System-1 is connected via USB-C1 System-2 is connected via USB-C2 + DP Issue 1: When I turn on the system-2 (system-1 is off) monitor does not wake up or does not display anything. I need to manually press the monitor power button to make the display wake up. However, the monitor power button turns on the System-1 which is not my requirement. Issue 2: Both systems are running and I am active on system-2. when system-1 goes in sleep mode the monitor goes in standby mode even I am actively working on system-2 Dell support agent was very prompt and he guided me all possible fixes but none of them ... MoreI purchased this monitor so that I could switch between work and personal laptop easily. Actually, it would be 4 1/2 stars. I was looking for a 27" external display to use with my new MacBook Pro M1 14" (MBP). My main use is emails and the MS Office suite for personal home use. My first criteria were sharpness of texts (fonts) and a smooth display. After four days of reading reviews and recommendations, I purchased a well-referenced 4k display from a competitor, as it is amply reported that 4k provides sharper display rendition. That is true for photos and videos, outstanding actually, but not the case for texts in Words, numbers in Excel, etc. I have returned the display and spent another 4 days looking for a UHD/QHD type display and settled for the Dell UltraSharp 27 Monitor - U2722D. Photos and videos are sharp and colourful for my layman use. As required, text sharpness is up there to office use standard and actually better than the ones used in the office. I do not detect loss in quality around the edges. It is very soft on my eyes, a big plus for me. The 4K was just too aggressive. The display can be adjusted with a toggle switch located at the bottom back, right-hand side. Left-handers may find this annoying. There are five adjustment menus and multiple sub-menus, but there may be insufficient options for demanding users. The plastic aluminum looking foot looks good with the MBP and is stable. I am overall very satisfied with the display, but for two exceptions, hence the half-star loss. First, the display does not swivel horizontally, which is annoying when plugging/unplugging cables. Yes, it flips to a vertical position, but that is not sufficient for an easy access to the bottom of the display. Second, although there are sufficient connection options, I would have liked to have an RJ-45 hookup, as portables often do not have one. So, you lose a USB connection to allow for your internet hookup. At that price point, I believe that the swivel and RJ-45 connection options should be present nowadays. I would certainly recommend the display to a friend
I was expecting it to be as sharp as the U2520D that I have but it's not. You can still see some blurry text, the definition is not excellent, which is bad because I work with a MacBook Pro with a retina display and I keep looking and comparing both the entire day. The fact it as a USB-C display port makes it stand out for me. I only use one cable to transmit power, data and video and this is great for my setup. I can also connect my UCB-C earbuds to another por that is in a very convenient spot. If you want a monitor around 23" and don't care about using more cables (a HDMI for video and a power supply to your laptop) I honestly recommend the P2319H. The image is quite similar but P2319H is way cheaper specially if you keep tracking it, it often comes up in a good ... MoreI was expecting it to be as sharp as the U2520D that I have but it's not. I purchased it with around $150 of discount compared to the original price.
The monitor is a little bulkier and heavier than I expected. I would like to see a locking part when the monitor is at a flat level. Was disappointed I never received a DP cable with the unit. Thankfully I had a HDMI in the flat to use. The soundbar does not work via the Monitor although I'm trying to find a solution with Dell. Overall the screen quality I felt was going to be a little better. The text on screen seems a little hazy around the edges. This was not my first choice monitor as the next one up was constantly out of stock. The screen has a mat finish so when put next to the laptop screen you can see the difference in quality. None the less. My previous screen was 10 years old and this is a great improvement but not the standard I was expecting from what is ... MoreThe monitor is a little bulkier and heavier than I expected. Decided it was time to upgrade my U2413 purchased in 2014. Spec's were good and Dell offered a great discount, plus Dell quality. Not disappointed with the U2422H. So far, the performance has been good. I have not edited photos yet, which is the reason for purchasing the Ultra Sharp monitors. I encountered two issues with the installation, First, the USB connection cable supplied by Dell is too short. Mine was three feet long and barely reached the computer, that is located not that far from the monitor, but in a desk computer compartment. Initially I had to use two 12" USB extension cables for a front connection and then one when I was able to move it to the back. I ended up purchasing a 6' cable and eliminating the extension. Having previously owned an Ultra Sharp monitor, I was aware that Plug 'n Play was not an end-state, especially if you calibrate.
I am constantly disappointed and dissatisfied with Dell’s quick start manuals. They are absolutely awful. They lack clarity and are very frustrating unless you are a computer science major. They should be written for all professions and students. A non-computer science major should try to set up the monitor and then try to use any of USB ports on the monitor for a flash drive. It is hard to believe that a company as large as Dell cannot find individuals who know how to write a manual for a computer monitor. One other point, individuals who have just purchased this monitor and cannot figure out how to set it up, WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET FOR ASSISTANCE! The manuals that come with these monitors should be comprehensive enough that a first-time buyer should ... MoreI am constantly disappointed and dissatisfied with Dell’s quick start manuals. I had been shopping for a USB-C hub to provide connectivity to my new Latitude 5520. The better hubs are expensive, the ones not only capable of connecting multiple external displays, but also capable of charging the Latitude, having an RJ45 network port, HDMI, Display Port, USB ports etc. In my search I happened upon the Ultrasharp U2722DE monitor with a built in USB-C hub and had an "Ah Ha" moment because it could do everything that I wanted for only slightly more than a hub. And the monitor itself is outstanding. I now only need a single cable to connect and charge, doing away with the unsightly tangle of cables. I give the U2722DE my highest recommendation.
I ordered two of these monitors, and have been quite happy with them so far. They came at a reasonable price - and it is nice that you can get it both in a version that has the built in docking station stuff - or does not have the docking station stuff (saving about $100). Since I'm on a large desktop computer, I didn't need the docking station parts. Both monitors arrived perfect, no dead pixels. They were shipped quickly, though Fedex lost one of them for a couple of days. A feature of these that is a bit under-advertised, you can daisy chain two of these monitors together at their native resolution, if you use display port. So, display port from your computer to monitor 1, then displayport from monitor 1 to monitor 2. An extra bonus with these configuration - if you change the settings on one of the monitors - say brightness - the other monitor sees the change, and immediately duplicates the settings change. You also don't need as many cables, and, don't need two display port outputs on your computer. (Assuming your video card is a new enough revision of display port to support chaining - most are these days) Two of these are plenty wide - I wouldn't want to be much wider. But the improvement in resolution and clarity over my old 24" monitor that only did 1920x1080 is very nice. I do wish they would keep a USB connection on the side of the monitor however - the only accessible ones (that aren't buried behind the monitor) are on the bottom, which is impossible to see - have to use it by feel.
