Fantastic portable air-con.. Works a treat, super quiet and easy to use... Only the smallest negative thing is the exhaust conduit could be a bit longer to help reach the high windows... I would certainly buy it again if I needed to. .

12 Days it took for this DeLonghi to break and fail. The compressor just died. Had to return the product and immediately swapped for the Rinnai which is FAR SUPERIOR. Do not waste your money for this machine.

On aircon mode, this unit is good for taking the heat out of a room. Our room is quite large (about 20m - 22m), so probably this unit is a little small for the space. It is pretty noisy. I'm a light sleepr and can sleep with it, but the noise in the shop with ambient sound around is very different to the noise made when you're going to sleep and there's little sound to compete with. We are often using it to clear the hot air out of the room then turn it off either before going to sleep or during the night.

We havent had a chance to test the unit in truly hot weather yet, but thoughts so far1) the adjustable window vent works quite well and is easy to put in and out. 2) its effective3) we have not had to empty it yet (so its doing a decent job of venting humidity our the window rather than pooling it4) the app & general interface are decent5) manual is pretty poor6) its fairly loud, and makes a variety of sounds at different times, which was unsettling at first.
I have this unit in an upstairs bedroom size 3m x 5.6m, it does an excellent job. This is not a paid review, Im a real person writing this. Ive also purchased a second unit for another smaller size bedroom, that room is like ice when set on 18.
A good alternative option when my duct air con is broken, and waiting for the repairs. This unit works perfect for medium size room which will make it cool and comfortable, but not power enough for open space living area. For a portable air con, the noisy level is acceptable which it will be ignored from background, and I am not a deep sleeper but ok with this unit. It is worth to buy overall.
After buying this a/c your next stop is the hardware shop because unless your house is 60 yrs old or your cooling a toilet the windows piece is useless it is way to small, also it is alot louder at home than in the shop. Finally the remote I got with machine doesn't work so need to get it replaced too. Not worth the money you pay for it. I would look at other brands first.
It is a nice looking unit and currently seems to have no problem keeping a 2 rooms cool (approx 20 sqm). I am concerned about the condensation water tray and when it needs to be emptied and the exhaust hose is short but suited to my situation.
They are very compact designs and work very well in my sons small second level 1 bedroom flat with a separate living and kitchen area. It gets extremely hot in summer. The old style apartment building had no provision to be able to install a split or window type unit. I bought one at first to see how it would work in the living area. One week later I purchased the second unit for the bedroom. A longer heat exhaust hose or information as to where you could purchase an additional section of it would have been useful. Anyhow I was sceptical at first in that I thought Delonghi was just a kitchen appliance manufacturer and what would they know about airconditioners. But so far so I good and time will tell as to their reliability.
We chose this one as an upgrade to our old noisy one. Its a pretty good unit, really quiet (for a porbable aircon unit). It has a dehumidifer in it as well. The auto function great at night time and it has an optimal Comfy Zone setting that gives you optimum air conditions (coolness and humidity). Also can control it all from a remote and/or your iphone. It may be slightly more expensive than otehr units but defineitley worth it for all the features and low noise level
