Plus Point(s):Clear and easy-to-use controls.Individual controls for each pair of slots.Seems to brown fairly evenly.Quite stylish and the beige-colour is a good match with our decor.We also purchased the matching kettle.Wife seems very happy!(Possible?) Minus Point(s):You can't pre-lift slots to check your toast (but you'll quickly note the correct personal settings required).The finish isn't a smooth gloss as it's more of a very fine textured matt one.

I’m sure it’s a faulty product but I’ve had it less than a month and one of the handles is broken! So now only one side of the roster works. Love the colour and the design but really sad I went with a trusted brand and got a dud

Pros: Love the look and the colour, works reasonably well.Cons: The power cable comes out of the side at THE FRONT OF THE TOASTER. It's unsightly and there's no way to run it underneath without the toaster sitting unevenly. This was not AT ALL obvious in the pictures and I'm really disappointed with it.

I was a bit surprised at how cheap the toaster switches were ….they look like they are chrome but in fact are badly fitted wobbly plastic …this in no way has anything to do with Austin’s at all but with delongi …I have sent them an email and the reply was the usual “we are sorry blah blah blah ….” Probably wouldn’t buy delongi again as a supermarket cheaper copy was better …glad Austin’s did this kettle much cheaper than anywhere else and not the full £69 …on the delongi site
I chose this to go with my kitchen which has sage green cupboards. It's lovely and has 4 x good sized toasting slots. The reason for the 4 star review is that it gets very hot when in use and I have to place it on a chopping board for fear of damage to my worktop!
Pros: It looks okay sat in a corner, it only falls down when asked to do the actual job it's supposed to. It's actually staggering how bad it is as a toasterCons: Everything except how it looks. You can put four slices of bread in the drawer slots at the exact same time and the exact same setting and all four will emerge differently verging from barely toasted at all to burnt. Even worse, you can have a slice of bread burnt on one side and the other side barely a darker shade than white. It's incredibly bad at the job it was built for. It's good at sitting and looking pretty though.
Pros: Looks good, colour is just perfect for me and very retro. Looks great with the matching kettle.Can put thick slices of bread or crumpets into it without it getting stuck. Full slices of bread go in unlike cheaper models that only take a third of a slice.Cons: Overall the look is perfect but I do think the the handles on it are quite flimsy. I thought they might of been a stronger material consideringthis is such a good make and far from an inexpensive product. But overall I'm very pleased with it .
Bought this to replace a no longer functioning Russell Hobbs Heritage 4-slice toaster (selected on the basis of De'Longhi's name and reputation). As a bread toaster, it's OK - marginally; for anything else - e.g. bagels, pittas, or anything smaller than a standard sliced loaf it's useless. Impossible to get the item out of the slot without using a fork and risking damage to the toast, the toaster and possible risk of electrocution (if you forget to disconnect it from the mains). Controls are poor and documentation is inadequate. Aldi should not be selling such a sub-standard item.
Pros: Love the old fashioned style. I bought online and the price was great. Nice colour blue too ( quite different, not for everyone, maybe that's reflected in the price)Cons: Once the toast has popped there isn't much extra lift from the leaver so crumpets need help to remove. Some thicker uncut bread gets a bit stuck too. Feels a bit 'tinny'.
I’ve had my toaster set for going on 4 years now and it looks amazing still! I got it in pink with matching kettle and I still adore them. There’s a lot of reviews complaining about the texture and I had the same thought when I unpacked it.. dust magnet! It really isn’t though. I use a dry micro fibre cloth on both every couple days after antibacterial wipes and it’s never been dusty. I also worried as the handles you pull down to put the toast in and the buttons are all shiny plastic! Needn’t have worried, the finish hasn’t come off after all this time. Bear in mind the set is 4 yrs old and as far as I’m concerned still looks new
