Pros: I like the style of the toaster. In fact we have always for the last 10 years or so have been buying the same set of toaster and kettle. The toaster is easy to clean and looks very smart in my kitchen.Cons: I don’t think they need to do anything more. We only have problem with our kettle as we need to descale it more often as it starts making louder noises. I suppose we live in the area where water is very hard.

This beautiful retro styled toaster works better than any other toaster I’ve had and is easy to clean. The toast doesn’t over jump most of the time. It only seemed to over throw the toast when I pushed the lever a little harder than usual. I haven’t used the other settings on the toaster which are reheat, defrost and bagel settings. I can’t imagine using these settings often.I like this toaster and also bought the matching New York Yellow kettle by De Longhi at the same time.Having four slices also saves my family time.

Pros: Well built and looks greatCons: The lift out hight is too low. Need to be able to use the arms to lift up smaller items. Make it safer, all of us have nearly burnt our fingers getting burger buns out. We have to use silicone tongs to mitigate this. Old toaster would lift a good 20/30mm this one is like 5/10mm

Given the time taken of 5 years to replace my previous D/L model, it served its purpose, 8/10.This model gets points over Smeg and Kitchen Aid as these two had uneven toasting characteristics with poor toasting ranges of temperatures.The upside with the DeLonghi is the design of separate temperature controls for different types of bread density. It has a good toasting element temperature range and wide slots.The only downside, it does not have a high lift to remove smaller type breads without burning your fingers. In addition the top plate retains much heat after and during toasting.
This gorgeous looking toaster, not only looks great but toasts nicely and fast and looks amazing on my kitchen bench. I got the white and grey set and just love the color. It goes well with my coastal/provincial/Hampton theme, home. Have been looking everywhere for white and grey. It has replaced my other beautiful Delonghi toaster-white Scultura, which unfortunately, is discontinued and i miss. My kettle stopped working after 8 years, and couldn't get a replacement, so I bought a whole new set. So this new white Capita set has replaced both the kettle and toaster. Love it!
Pros: A trusted quality brand, and it looks good.Cons: Although not fans of really well done and burned toast, we do like our toast well done. We replaced our toaster (Breville) with the De Longhi because it seemed as though the time to toast to a decent colour was taking too long, and more often than not, we needed to 're-toast' the bread to achieve this. Sadly, even at the max setting, our new De Longhi doesn't toast to that deep golden colour that we like, and, just like the Breville, we have to 're-toast' to achieve this. To date, we've used only medium sliced, seeded brown bread.
I have reviewed this toaster previously on a different format. It would be without doubt the worst toaster I have ever purchased. Uneven toasting consistently. It looks good on the bench, but totally lacks any other concept of value . Interestingly, the cost of the toaster has managed to jump from $149 to around $200 plus. Complete marketing success based on the appearance, but must be (you would think) a complete embarrassment to there engineering team. Hooray for the marketing department. Please do not buy this dreadful toaster.
Pros: Beautiful design. We have replaced our old toaster worth this one due to kitchen colour change rather than the toaster needing replacing. We've had the red version of this toaster and decided to go for the same brand and make a the first one lasted 10 years without any issues. Its a well built toaster.Cons: The silver insert bit at the top collects crumbs which are then hard to clean out - need a brush to do this properly.
I have been using the Delonghi Icona Capitals toaster for a month now and I'm loving the results so far. The dials have more options as to how dark you want your toast to be, and it's very easy to use.I also love the overall design of the toaster, I bought it in red because it was catchy and matched with the kettle I also bought for Delonghi. I do admit that Delonghi was heavily inspired by other brands when they created this product - but kudos as they've done a nice job as well.The price was also reasonable too, and I make 4 slices of toast at the same time as well.
I have had another well know brand 4 slice toaster in the past that I purchased for it's great colour. It was good but really really slow, to the point of frustrating. I mean it really only has one job.Was worried that this might be similar but I was pleasantly surprised.It is actually fairly fast! Has many useful functions and works as promised.The price was actually reasonable compared to other brands so that is a bonusMy favorite thing about this toaster is gorgeous colour! They have really vibrant colours available in this range, that will become a talking point of any kitchen!I I choose the "New York Cab" colour and have had so many people compliment the colour.Overall very happy
