The toaster arrived well packaged in a huge box, and this toaster certainly is big. If you have a small kitchen it takes up a fair bit of space. It isn't too heavy and can easily be stowed away when not in use. However, it is very attractive toaster (as far as toasters go) and I really like the colour, so I don't mind sacrificing a little space for it.It doesn't feel as premium as it looks, but definitely sturdy enough to survive my couple of slices a week. The slots are large and will accommodate good wedges of my badly cut loaves. I have found it to produce evenly toasted slices and I am satisfied with the results.I think this toaster should last longer than a cheaper alternative and it certainly looks the part.

This is an upgrade from our 8 year old delonghi two slice toaster. On the appearances front, it's a great looking and simple to use toaster! I toasted my bread at level "4" which provided a good all round toasted brown colour - added benefit of it only taking around 90 seconds to achieve!It's quite a chunky toaster so if you're like me and enjoy storing it away, make sure you have adequate space in the cupboard. Otherwise, it will look great on the kitchen counter!The item itself didn't come with any instructions but it was self-explanatory how to use the available settings. We purchased this as a replacement for a good toaster that we had f or more than 2 decades! After a lot of reviews we finally opted to get the De Longhi and to be honest have not at all been disappointed by our choice.Technically it is near perfect churning out toasts to our preferences. The four slots are a bonus. Handles crumpets bagets and toast all the same time. Family loves it!The cancel and reheat functions adds to its versatility!Up until now have not found anything critically wrong.It was promptly delivered on time by John Lewis. Near perfection.I have no hesitation in recommending this product. It enhances the De longhi magnifica also purchased from John Lewis.

This is a great toaster, looks good, feels solid and has some decent features, like the bagel and re-heat. Niggles are that the top has a gutter around the slot housing that accumulates crumbs and where it is awkward to clean (just why would they not make it flush) and the high lift feature which is meant to make it easy to take out small slices which doesn't seem to be any different to non-high lift toasters.
I decided to try this Delonghi toaster when our long serving Beville toaster finally died. The Distintanta Livenza is a nice looking toaster, has all the basic setting needed including for crumpets and has deep slots for artisan breads. Unfortunately though it has very uneven cooking browning the bread much more on one side than the other, is slow to toast and doesn't have a count down function. Overall quite disappointed, our old Breville was a much better toaster.
Good Points: You get what you pay for. I was moderately nervous about spending this amount of money on a toaster. However, I'm glad I went with the reviews and coughed up the extra cash for this one. Its solid, and sturdy. The drop mechanism for the bread feels firm. It toasts decent sized bread - I've not had any yet that sticks out and hasn't been toasted, and it takes fairly thick slices too. I love the fact that both sides can be set to different levels so it suits others in the household. Overall, I'm really pleased with my purchase
