Delonghi Icona Kettle (Red)

Adds colour to your kitchen and looks great. Also very well made with a that quality feel.Just bought this as a backup,even though my original one looks like it might go on for years yet. Timeless styling.Shame DeLonghi have changed the look in there new ones. Definitely not as good.

Chippy Paint!!

I bought this kettle about 5 months ago. The red paint at the top edge by the lid is chipping off already, and the on off switch does feel a bit flimsy..and it’s loud when boiling the jug..but I bought it on special so I guess if it dies after a year or two..then I just buy another kettle..but it won’t be this one.

Delonghi Kettle

I love the color. Not too noisy. Waiting result for durability. It’s stainless steel shouldn’t rust.

Delonghi red kettle

This delonghi kettle is beautiful and compliments my delonghi coffee machine. I bought the kettle in red and it’s elegant, sleek and comfortable to hold and pour. I would highly recommend this kettle to anyone considering updating their kettle.

Great until I saw we'd been drinking plastic

I bought this kettle because, unlike many others available here, it has very few plastic parts. I have now had my kettle for 2 years and it is still boiling well. However, today I discovered that the plastic frame surrounding the stainless steel filter is breaking down and tiny bits of black plastic, the size of sand, are coming off the filter and ending up in out tea etc. By the looks of it, it must have been breaking down a while before I noticed. Horrible and so unnecessary when the filter could have been made from all stainless steel. I have removed the filter and the kettle puts out much more steam than when the filter is in there.

Horrible design

Takes long to boil the water, you need a lot of water t oboil as it is wider at the bottom. The lid comes off when you are pouring water, I have burned a few times thanks to that. The material lasts but it is a terrible design.I tried to give it back but being burned by the kettle wasn't an issue for briscoes.

Icona kettle review

Very nice kettle. Works well. Just a couple of things to note, electric cord is quite short, water level is a bit difficult to read and filling the kettle requires removing lid. (Not a biggy but not quite as convenient as a pop up lid) But nice design, nice colour, pours very nicely and works well!

My second De Longhi Icona

Happy with the DevLonghi Icona so far, quieter than the last Icona purchased which lasted four and a half years. Hope I don't have the same issue of floating black particles with this one.Would still purchase a DevLonghi kettle even though it's more expensive than others - quality, design and ease of use are all good factors

Pros: A removable lid for filling is a big plus as a mechanical lid wears out . I have had to replace three kettles with lid failures. The max tab inside the kettle is a useful feature.The design and exterior appearance are appealing.Cons: Difficult to see the water level in the sight glass when filling.

Stylish Jug

Purchased this jug a couple of months ago and happy with the performance. It’s quiet and looks very stylish. I only gave it 4 stars because the water level indicator isn’t transparent and you can’t see the water easily.
