Love, love, love this coffee machine from DeLonghi! I feel like a barista experimenting with different settings and customizing wonderful coffee flavors! It also comes with a small complimentary coffee beans packet which has a great flavor! At first glance, the machine might look a bit complex, but it is super easy to set up. It comes with an instruction manual and DeLonghi’s signature coffee beans! For those who are new to this type of machine, here are some important points that might help you: 1. If you have hard water, it will suggest inserting the provided water filter into the water tank. 3. Whenever you switch on/off the coffee maker, it will run a quick hot cycle to heat/clean things up. Make sure to place a tray beneath the coffee nozzle to catch any dripping water. 4. After making your coffee, the machine will run a rinse cycle to clean the milk carafe and coffee nozzle. 5. There are separate compartments for loading coffee beans and powder. 6. If you need the coffee extra hot, change the temperature settings under maintenance option. Overall, it’s very easy to use this espresso machine, even for someone like me who has never used one before!

I have been using the De’Longhi Magnifica Evo for a bit now and I gotta say, this thing is pretty impressive for anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee at home without much fuss. The machine looks sleek with its modern black and silver combo, giving off a premium vibe .It fits nicely on the countertop, takes some space, so make sure you’ve got a decent spot for it. The control panel is straightforward with pictures and text for each drink type – no guesswork involved. So far, I’ve tried the espresso, coffee, and latte and they’ve all been spot on. The machine gets the coffee strength right and the frother makes some nice foam for latte. There are more options like hot milk and also a “my” button for customizing your own drink, the interface is pretty user-friendly. ... The machine prompts you to clean the frother and empty the used grounds container pretty often. The water tank is easily accessible from the side, which makes refilling and cleaning hassle-free. Same goes for the used grounds container – it just slides out for quick cleanup. This is a versatile coffee machine yes, it is pricey ,this is the price you pay that can do everything from espresso to cappuccino with minimal effort. It’s user-friendly, looks good, and delivers.

We decided to up our coffee game and after doing some research, we found that the DeLonghi Magnifica Evo coffee maker might be the right one for us. The combination of a decent sale price and a good chunk of Canadian Tire money made the price a little more reasonable, so we went ahead with the purchase. The result has been some very nice coffee's and latte's. The machine is reasonably easy to use with clear quick start and long form instructions. It fits nicely on our counter with a footprint that is not much bigger than our previous Keurig coffee maker and not much higher. It takes both beans and ground coffee. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who is willing to spend a bunch to get a nicer coffee if they can wait until such time as this product is on sale.

I have only used this machine a couple of weeks, but I have tested various functions many times. The functions involving only espresso run perfectly, every single time. Additionally, the coffee is decently dosed, and the shots are well (if not perfectly) extracted (as good as you can get out of this type of machine). The hot water is hot enough to brew green or white tea and make instant drinks. Other hot drinks will not be possible. Oolong, red, black, and herbal teas or café pourovers cannot be prepared at the hot water dispenser temperature (about 180° to 183°, sometimes slightly higher). The milk system is a bit more flawed. Other hot drinks will not be possible. Oolong, red, black, and herbal teas or café pourovers cannot be prepared at the hot water dispenser temperature (about 180° to 183°, sometimes slightly higher). The milk system is a bit more flawed. First, if you touch the system components at all after it's connected to the machine, it may cause an error. It's best to connect in a way that allows you to leave it exactly in that position for the entire process since even slowly and gently adjusting the dispenser can cause the error. Second, if the system is not perfectly clean inside (nothing but water or air) the system will pause the drink process partway through, terminate the process, and prompt flushing (with water) by pressing the clean button. This seems to happen mostly from milk splashing up after the lid is attached, but sometimes the machine will request flushing even after it was just flushed. After cleaning, the milk-drink process must be restarted. This restarting takes time, but it is also a bit problematic. The coffee that was ground prior to the milk frothing error would cause the infuser to become overfilled, so because of restarting and new coffee being ground as part of that restarting, a fair amount of ground coffee goes into the bottom of the machine, behind the knock box. I don't know if the infuser empties after the process is paused and terminated or if it overflows when the process is restarted, but either way, some of the ground coffee lands inside the machine, outside of the knock box.I would have less of an issue with this error occurring if the process would restart in the same place and not waste my coffee or risk damaging my machine with too much ground coffee going into the infuser. If I had to buy this machine again, I would probably get it without the frothing system. For me, I need my morning coffee in a timely manner and without frustration so I can get to my stressful clinic job in a good headspace and on time, and using a tin to froth milk by hand would be a predictable process that takes a predictable amount of time. However, I do like the idea of the LatteCrema system. If a new version was developed that eliminated this issue, I would purchase the attachment. I really do want this to work. It just isn't there yet.
The first part of this review is aimed at Best Buy. We ordered online and received what looked like the ECAM29084SB Magnifica Evo Automatic Espresso machine from DeLonghi. After using it and reading the manual we discovered that the unit in the box was the ECAM29063SB. Our first suspicions of something wrong was that there was residue in the machine, which we were willing to ignore as it might have been a final test at the factory. Be aware that this machine has 7 soft buttons for various drinks, not 5. And the machine will not have any moisture or coffee residue when it is new and unused. Now, as for the machine there are only a couple of gripes. You can find all the praises possible online so I won't go there.1st. the water volume-per-second delivery is very ... MoreThe first part of this review is aimed at Best Buy. And the machine will not have any moisture or coffee residue when it is new and unused. Now, as for the machine there are only a couple of gripes. You can find all the praises possible online so I won't go there.1st. the water volume-per-second delivery is very low. It may be providing the correct PSI for ideal espresso brewing, but it has a very weak (as in low) volume pump.2nd. and maybe related, it cannot pump through finer grounds, particularly if you choose the 2x expresso settings. You may get an error message; the brewing will stop and it will dump your mostly unused compressed coffee puck.Water tank and bean hopper are medium-sized but adequate; as the machine is not unusually large, so that's expected. The machine rinses after turning on and as you turn it off, so it's a good idea to have a cup ready for this, as the drip tray will fill up quickly.Since the machine does not have a read-out LED/LCD screen you need to use the manual to understand the setup options (temperature of water, beep on/off, water hardness, energy saving, auto/off, water filter inserted).Custom drink size is similar to other machines, hold the drink option button down for a few seconds to enter the mode, press again when the coffee volume is as-you-like-it.
I am going to spend some time being really detailed in this review because I feel honored to be selected to try this product. Coffee is my life blood and for years my husband has encouraged me to splurge and buy a wonderful espresso machine just like this one. The machine is somewhat bulky and will take up a lot of space on your counter. The directions are somewhat confusing because the company sells to people all over the world and the instructions come in many languages. When I set up the coffee pot for the first time, the directions on the screen skipped step number two where you add water to the chamber. Luckily my husband is an engineer and he helped me to figure this out and add water. I have not read all of the instructions yet, but it seems that there’s a lot of maintenance needed for this machine. The good. As I write this, I am drinking an amazing caramel latte macciotto, which I made from the comfort of my own kitchen. This drink is really good. The milk is steamed perfectly and the coffee taste blends well with the layers of milk. I added a little caramel drizzle on the top for a fancy touch. I had barely scratched the surface of all of the drinks that this machine can make, and I do think that I’ll use it a lot this winter both for hot water for tea and hot cocoa.I have not explored a lot of the maintenance menus yet, but I’m impressed that I could customize this to both my water hardness, grind levels, sound of the machine, you can really make this your own and save settings for several users. The included filter, make sure that the water taste its best and does not take away from the flavor of your drink. This machine is amazing and I am so grateful to be able to try it. If you love a good cup of coffee, I think that you will have fun with us as well. Make it your own. I used chocolate orange, flavored whole beans and it gave my drink a really special flavor. Cheers!! 💕☕️
As a family of four who loves coffee, the DeLonghi Magnifica Evo has been an absolute game-changer for us. Before getting this machine, we were spending way too much on Nespresso pods and Starbucks runs, but now, we’re saving a ton of money while still enjoying café-quality drinks at home. The best part? It’s so easy to use! Everyone in our family can make their favorite drink with just the press of a button—cappuccinos, lattes, espresso, you name it. The milk frother is top-notch, producing creamy, perfectly textured foam every time. Even our teens are getting creative with their drink choices, and it’s been a fun way to bond over our shared love of coffee.Another bonus is that it grinds fresh beans, so every cup tastes incredibly rich and flavorful. It’s the perfect investment for coffee-loving families like ours who want to enjoy barista-quality drinks without the ongoing cost of pods or pricey coffee shop visits. Highly recommend!
I've had mine for about 5 months now. Still makes tasty coffee quickly (2 stars), but I wish I had just gotten a regular, manual espresso machine. The Magnifica requires maintenance and cleaning at daily, weekly, and monthly intervals. Some of my complaints:- Coffee grounds build up inside the machine where it's difficult and dangerous to clean them out. This is causing all the different removable parts to just not fit together as easily, and this is getting worse each day.- The water reservoir is very small and you'll have to refill it every day. after just a few months, the container doesn't slide back in properly and never feels like it's seated correctly.- The catch for the used coffee needs to be emptied several times a week depending on how much you use ... However, the filter is optional if you've got good water from somewhere else- The machine auto shuts down way too soon. seems that exactly when i finish my first cup and get up to get a second, it's shutting down, then I have to go through the start up procedure over again.- Milk frother doesn't make the foamiest of milk, and you have to completely disassemble it in order to clean it every time or else you get soiled milk inside it.- Descaling process is not clearly explained, had to look up a youtube video- Waaaay too expensive for the amount of work you have to put into it and it only gives you a few options.- The touch pad buttons suck, very easy to accidentally push the wrong button.- I just don't feel like it will last much longer :(
Let me start by saying, I’m not the biggest fan of coffee at home. I’ve never had a great machine, so I jumped at the chance to try this machine. The milk frothing accessory is great. Easy to clean. The machine actually automatically gives it a rinse after every use.The only issue I had was that the grinder sittings seem to be a little off, and there was an issue with the grounds being really watery and having a painfully slow drip. That was easily fixed, and it’s no longer a problem.I highly recommend this machine. It’s a little pricey, but the quality of the coffee is fantastic!

I LOVE that the milk spout is auto cleaned after every cup is made.I don’t dislike the bean hopper, but I would prefer more space between the grinder and bean hopper so there is less chance of spillage when pouring beans in.The touch interface is the perfect level of responsiveness.Functionality/Performance 10/10:Regardless of what drink you choose, this makes the perfect cup! As a non-dairy milk drinker, a lot of at home espresso machines don’t get non-dairy milk frothy, but this does, perfectly! It is ACTUALLY quiet for an espresso machine and I am very pleased that it doesn’t beep or make annoying noises.I like that you can also save selections to aprofile and LOVE that the machine auto cleans before auto turning off.Overall, I highly recommend and recommend over the twice as expensive Miele!
