De'Longhi Magnifica Start Automatic Coffee Machine

For a bean to cup machine this is a good price. It’s replacing an old one that seems very similar inside, so I’m hoping for a similarly long life. It works well and makes very good coffee. Controls are on a touch panel that is fairly logical, but I needed the instructions even for something this simple. It holds 250g of beans, but only just so you have to spread them evenly to get the lid on. The used grounds are dumped in a drawer at the front. This must have been designed by someone who doesn’t have to clean it out. Although it’s glossy plastic, coffee grounds happily bond to it. A ridge internally means that you can’t just sweep a washing up brush around it. I use a baby bottle brush to get into the corners favoured by the glued-in grounds.

Great machine and fast delivery, though I have noticed it has increased in price since I bought it at £299 virtually overnight! There are a great choice of drink selections which once setup, (which is fairly straight forward) are brilliant. This machine replaces a broken Delonghi machine I'd had a number of years so the coffee tasted a little strange to begin with, possibly as this came with a filter but has since gone back to tasting normal again.From a cleaning and water catching point of view this machine is fantastic. This machine has replaced take out coffees for our family completely! It is so easy and fast to dispense delicious specialty espresso drinks in the comfort of our own home! I was pleasantly surprised it can also dispense hot water for tea. Machine setup and calibration was simple and it cleans with ease. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new coffee appliance.

Pros: Coffee machine After using this beautiful coffee machine for a month, I can only say I love it.By following the instructions, it was easy to set up and become familiar with different programs to choose from the nice touch feeling panel.I'm a long-time espresso drinker and the crema coming out from it is simply amazing, it makes almost any coffee brand look and taste premium quality filling the house with a lovely fragrance. DeLonghi Magnifica Start bean to cup.

I have had the machine for about 10 days now and I truly enjoy every cup of freshly ground coffee. The grinding system is surprisingly quiet, compared to other bean-to-coffee machines.I'm also impressed with the quality of the milk frother, as it makes beautifully frothy milk. Now I do not have to drool, walking in the shopping centre and smelling the coffee being sold. I just need to find the make of the coffee beans that I will fall in love with still.

Pros: The ability to use beans as well as ground coffeeCons: Occasionally the input of ground coffee doesn't work and the coffee ends up, not in the waste bin but on the base plate. Not sure why this happens. The opening for the input of ground coffee is too small for the coffee scoop. Ideally this opening should allow the scoop to be completely inserted and tipped so that no grounds are spilt. Alternatively provide a smaller diameter but deeper scoop which would allow input of grounds without spillage?

I love being able to tip my coffee beans in the top and get fresh ground coffee at the press of a button, no messing around grinding coffee beans or buying ground coffee to the correct level of coarseness. It is economical to run as it only heats the water needed for that cup of coffee. If flushes through a small amount of water when you switch on and off, helping to keep it clean. Cleaning is easy.
