Purchased two Danali Royal self inflating camp mats for a recent road trip. After 7 nights l can say that l did not wake with any stiffness nor did l feel the earth beneath me.As per other reviewers, these mats after the first inflation, do not pack down small and require some active knee work in the rolling up process. super comfortable mat, I purchased my first one 10 years ago and it only just sprung a leak, which should be easy to fix, but I needed another quickly for a camping trip so bought another. I'm a big guy, 6'3" 130kg and this mat works well, even when side sleeping I don't feel the ground

Fantastic mat, comes with a waterproof bag and rolls up really well into it. The valves that automatically inflate/deflate are great quality and have had no issues in the 10 times of use this far. The best part yet is how comfortable it feels. Of the 7 mats I have tried as of yet, the Denali Royal is THE best. For 250/200 it's a great buy, but if it's on special for $170 or less, everyone should have one. Considering getting another for guests at home.

I bought two of these fantastic mats in 2010, over 10 years ago!) and have used them hundreds of times, camping, canoeing, sailing, random nephew visits, etc, and couldn’t be happier with them.Recently I got them out for a trip and discovered the glue had perished sound the valve, so I bought a second set - 10 years is a good run for mat!When I got back from the trip, I glued the valves back in with Sika Tech grip glue, and now I have four mats, I guess :D
I carefully read reviews prior to making this purchase and am glad I paid for the better mattress. Over the past 6 weeks I have slept on it around 10 times. I love it and every time it had meant a good nights sleep.I strongly recommend allowing the mattress to fully inflate prior to first use, then close the valves and put it into the sun to heat up (which expands the air further. It fully inflated quickly now and the only challenge would be if you were trying to collapse it back to its original size. It is easy enough to roll it up but I would not say the end result is “compact”.
My kids love them for sleepovers. Good large adult size. Pretty good amount of cushioning. Allow extra hours for them to fully inflate the first time you use them. Pretty easy to roll up and deflate, just kneel on them as you roll. Very easy to fit into the Included storage bags once rolled up.
It’s very long, inflates fast, easy and simple two way valve - air in / air out, strong metal valve. It’s thicker than others, very comfy, feels spongy. It’s the best, we’re very happy. Not easy finding quality mattress for tall people, this is it. Only downfall is that it doesn’t pack down very small, it stays in a large roll, so have to carry separate from backpack. But worth it for a good night sleep. Why should large people not sleep completely. A big tick from us.
I got two of these for the kids for camping, they love them, really comfy, nice and thick and they slept great. Nice and insulated can’t feel the cold ground or lumps and bumps from the ground. Will be great for sleep overs for their friends.
Have been using for a few years now, the mat itself is great, however the brass valves fell out. And now no longer stays up.So much for using quality materials when the plastic used to hold it all together just breaks into little pieces.
Absolutely brilliant mat. Wouldn't know you weren't in your own bed. Bought on EOFY sale. Great price for a great mat. Very happy
