For it's price point coupled with some Q aAcoustics 3030i speakers I honestly can't complain about the clarity or the sound range. If I was 10 years younger I'd grumble the low end isn't beefy enough as the low end is there but there could be extra boost just to really hit home those dubby basslines but my neibours certainly aren't complaining and I arent losing any sleep over it.Enough bells and whistles for a low end price point. Was going to get the Marantz Pm6007 but the Bluetooth option swayed me to the Denon.I have found some gremlins and poor mixes with some of my vinyls compared to me old amplifier (Sony SU-Z11) but better quality equipment is going to do that I suppose so no fault on the Denons part.Spent a while searching and weighing options before ... MoreFor it's price point coupled with some Q aAcoustics 3030i speakers I honestly can't complain about the clarity or the sound range. I am no audiophile, but I know what I like. I purchased the Denon for my new vinyl system set up for the sound quality but also because I could change the bass and treble and balance. I am lucky enough to have a room dedicated as a music room. Yes, I can afford higher specifications equipment, but at this stage do I need that? What surprised me was how well my vinyl played and sounded through the new amp and remember these are the original 1975 albums. If you care for the stuff you own then you won’t get any problems. The Denon fitted my needs, I can add to the amp for additional functions which makes things very handy. It looks the business too.

My 36+ year old Marantz amp was beginning to show signs of pre-senile dithering, a rasp here, a speaker bias there. A quick search for best quality "budget" amp suggested quite a few, including the Denon PMA 600 NE. I decided to check Richer sounds as I'd bought the Marantz and, in fact, all my hi-fi equipment here. Excellent service from Hauke at Edinburgh, deal done and amp delivered to pick up point within a couple of days. Installation was a dream, even managed to get rid of two of the three platefuls of spaghetti round the back! Sound quality is amazing, clearly I've been needing a new amp for some time. Full, deep bass accompanied by crisp clear high end. Loving the Bluetooth connection, with all the internet radio and music streaming services, who needs a ... MoreMy 36+ year old Marantz amp was beginning to show signs of pre-senile dithering, a rasp here, a speaker bias there. I’ve recently purchased this amp after toying with the idea of fixing my tube amp for the second time in 12 months. I’m so glad I did! The sound quality is amazing for the price range and more than enough power for my floor standing speakers. The sound is lovely and crisp and it’s nice to have the option of using an optical cable for the tv (something I haven’t been able to do for a while.) Bluetooth connects really quickly as well, which is one of the main reasons for purchasing this amp.Richer sounds were helpful as always with finding a store with one of these in stock too as all my local stores had sold out.
Bought this along with the 600 series CD Playerand it looks and sounds fantastic! Very pleased with quality and sound, so far I have connected the cd player and my tv which sounds awesome through it too! It comes with a comprehensive and easy to use full remote control.Richer Sounds went amazing and went that but further make sure I had the best deal possible. They didn’t only match the best price I had found they undercut it! No argument just a better price from the start. Also price matched my speakers and gave me a bit extra off just to make the deal even better.Secure payment was a breeze and all items delivered two days earlier than expected. Can’t recommend the Denon separates enough and the guys at Richer Sounds couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried!
Bought recently, set up was a cinch, sound was superb.Am using for vinyl (via Pro-Ject turntable), cassette (via Yamaha deck), CD (via NAD player-recorder) and Spotify (via Bluetooth on my Mac) and enjoying the results via trusty old Celestion bookshelf speakers. (As the Pro-Ject has a pre-amp, you don't need to use the pre-amp via the Phono input in the amp, so it goes in as Aux.)(Should point out, however, that the initial unit delivered had a fault. But Richer Sounds replaced it quickly and efficiently, so full marks for excellent service.)
Great little old fashioned basic Hi Fi amp with a canny sound and just a delight to plumb in and ever so easy to operate .Works fine with my existing Denon CD player and I only need one remote control for both now.Easy to adjust Bass and Treble too if that's your thing .So nothing flashy with flight deck controls , easy to use and most importantly for the price it sounds good .(Excellent next day delivery from Richer Sounds too .Never used anyone else for decades now .)
Bought this to finally replace my much loved 1987 Technics SU-800 which has served me so well. Delivered next day which was impressive. Easy to connect up though not sure why “Tuner” is not a labelled input alongside Phono and CD (had to use Network). Sound from first play of vinyl sounded very bright! Love the Bluetooth option bringing me into the digital age so can stream Spotify through my vintage KEF speakers 🔊 which is cool and the remote control though clearly labelled as if CD is the intended primary source is nice to use. Overall very satisfied. Would have liked an interest free purchase option but was told this only kicks in over £1000 purchases.
Really pleased with denon. I'm using it with Q Acoustic 3030i speakers. I was initially using Schiit Modi dac, but tried internal Dac in the PMA-600NE and I couldn't tell much difference at all. If I had one complaint it would be that there is no visual way of telling what volume is, so I just have to go by ear. Also wish that analog inputs were just labelled A1, A2 etc, instead of CD etc. But otherwise I'm happy, it plays really loud if needed. Clear sound. Highly recommended despite minor criticisms mentioned. Also Highly recommend CHT Solutions. I'll be buying from them from now on. So quick to dispatch order. Also I had questions regarding subwoofer which I intend to purchase soon and they were very helpful
I'm very happy with my PMA-600NE. I have it paired with Q Acoustic 3030i speakers and Project pro via ifi Zen phono preamp and wiim pro stremer. I also did initially have it connected to Schiit modi dac but A B teated it with internal DAC in PMA-600NE and I could hear any difference so I just now use internal DAC in the denon. Sounds clean and plays loud when I want it too. If I could make minor criticisms, all I would say is I wish visible decibels could be viewed when adjusting volume. I also would have preferred analogue inputs not to have been pre labelled, AUX 1, AU2 etc would have been better. I feel that many people would have liked EQ to been able to be adjusted via remote, especially considering there is a million buttons on remote that have no function at ... MoreI'm very happy with my PMA-600NE. Also, I should add that I replaced my AXA35 with the PMA-600NE, despite having paying more for the Cambridge.
