Been ordering blades off for the last year with no luck ,all of them were dull or just bad quality until I ordered this 3 weeks ago. Wanted to test them few times and everytime they deliver amazing results. Sharp and amazing quality, for someone who has been using straight razors for over 15 years I can't honestly say I'm hooked on the quality and sharpness of those blades .

Have recently purchased a TWIG by LEAF single edge razor. This uses single edge blades. Initially I used a Feather blade snapped in half. This proved to be slightly more aggressive than what I wanted. These Derby professional blades are almost as sharp but bot quite as aggressive. So far, I've had three shaves with this blade. I'm not sure how many shaves one can get from these blades; four shaves is enough for me no matter what make of blades I use. After the fourth shave I replace the blade. Overall, I find that this is a very good blade for this razor and would definitely recommend it. Would have given this 5* but I HATE the word " amazing ".

This product was purchased from the user GlobalMarketPlace. I've purchased multiple 100 packs of Derby Premiums over the past couple years and have been quite pleased with the razors. They're my favorite razor in my Merkur Progress Adjustable. One thing I noticed about this purchase in particular is that they apparently changed the packaging of the tucks of razors. Usually they came wrapped in a cellophane wrapper but on 3/5 of the boxes they since gone and simply put a silver colored sticker over the end of the tucks to keep the razors contained within. This made me dubious of their origin and I've since given multiple razors a try. I went and randomly selected random razor from 1 random tuck in each box and have been testing those to ensure product Tegridy. I ... MoreThis product was purchased from the user GlobalMarketPlace. I would say that I'm getting VERY similar performance to the originals I bought last year. On only one razor on the 4th shave with it I was getting some unusual resistance but I'll chalk it up to one of the many random factors that could play into it's use. Overall I would say I'm quite happy with this product at its price point. P.S. The free razor is a Classic Samurai Shavette, with Bakelite handle.

I never liked Derby blades at all, but these new premium blades shave like a charm my favorite blade other then feather is Astra and these are better than Astra blades they have a Sharp edge an make shaving smooth but that's for me an my Beard everyone had different hair thick an thin but these are really good for the price of 200 blades for 15 bucks you can't beat that only the safety shavers know the 100+ year old shaving system was never broke companies just wanted to add 10 blades to 1 razor to profit an you only need "1 sharp blade" to get the job done still to this day. Such a budget friendly way to shave and more enjoyable to mix ur own shave soap an shave with your favorite blade!! Try these new Derby premium blades you won't be disappointed.
So take this with a grain of salt. Im using a Viking Chieftain razor the Viking blades that came with it aligned perfectly. The Derby Premium were off, they seemed to pull in at one end. It took four shaves before I managed to complete a good close shave with no nicks or weepers. This was probably me more than the blade or my Viking Chieftain razor. I had a stroke three months ago and lost total function of my dominant hand and arm. I gradually regained control and function where I was confident enough to wet shave. I can only get three shaves per blade before I can feel the performance degrade to where it was tugging and struggling to cut.
As another reviewer mentions, this blade pairs particularly well with Yaqi's 'Den' shavette. Derby Premiums are a controversial blade - many people hate them with a passion, deeming them to be too blunt. However, they are amongst my favourite blades for DE shaving due to their smoothness, and I can see that this has transferred across to this SE version. Very smooth shaves with my Den!
These are really good razors. You need to have a steady hand to use these without nicking yourself. They're as nearly sharp as Feather razors, but significantly more forgiving with the cuts. I like how smooth a shave Feather razors give you; these blades are pretty good too. Plus you don't have to moisturize your face for 2 hours after! Recommended for the experienced shaver.
I was very surprised these blades are sharp yet very forgiving.I have been using a few different blades over the years and usually like Astras as they give a close shave but occasionally nick me under the lip.I also like Feather blades as I have a medium to tough beard and these things cut through it however give me too close a shave and can leave my face feeling raw after a close shave. These new Derby Premium DE razor blades slice effortlessly through my beard yet do not leave my face burning after a close shave. I usually get about 4 shaves out of the Astras and Feathers before I change blades. I am also getting the same out of the Derby Premium and they are still sharp. I will still use other blades but now these Derbys will be my regular blade, due to their ... MoreI was very surprised these blades are sharp yet very forgiving.I have been using a few different blades over the years and usually like Astras as they give a close shave but occasionally nick me under the lip.I also like Feather blades as I have a medium to tough beard and these things cut through it however give me too close a shave and can leave my face feeling raw after a close shave. I have been using Double Edge razors for about 10 years now and usually use Bic brand but they were unavailable when I ran out, so I gave these a try. I Think they are excellent. I like the holder, it doesn't fall apart. The edge is very fine and the steel seems (so far) to hold an edge very well. I have a very coarse beard that has dulled other razors very fast (1 shave) but so far the one I used has held up to 3 shaves.
I only use this for one shave then put a new blade in. I have had very good luck with both double edge and single edge Derby blades. Very good value. You can get more shaves if you want per blade but I prefer to use it once and then toss it out.
