I'm absolutely in love with this incredible moisturizer. The texture is a lovely lightweight gel, which immediately feels cooling on the skin. It's hydrating and soothing and totally comforts the skin. This amazing product absorbs beautifully without leaving a tacky, greasy or sticky feel. Actually different!

This is certainly a different product to the market. I ultimately think it does have some pros and cons which I will attempt to discuss. First off, I do think the texture is very nice. It doesn’t feel like a moisturizer on and yet it does leave your skin feeling a bit more hydrated but not smothered. Basically, if you are one of those people who hates the feeling of moisturizer, I think you might like this product. However, the smell is certainly worth noting. If you are sensitive to fragrance, do know that it has an orange scent to it. As for the vitamin C, this is a very interesting form found in this product. Unlikely combo I’d say), at this point it’s hard to know whether this ingredient will be the default in a few years. These are only a few products from my massive stockpile. Yesterday I was at Sephora and was getting my second bottle of this Dermalogica Biolumin C moisturizer, and let me tell you something, it was the FIRST time in my life I’ve bought the same moisturizer for the second time. Sounds odd, I know but I swear to you, this is the one! I’ve had a few use-the-entire-jar-before-replacing creams like Kiehls Ultra and YTTP air Whip, but due to my obsession with always trying to find a better product I could never stick to one. Until now. I was always a bit afraid of using vitamin c products (serums mostly) due to my skin once again being reactive at times, but this product did not make me breakout or even cause redness on my cheeks which usually always happens after any moisturizer. It absorbs very quickly in my case and I currently use Dermalogica physical defense sunscreen over it during day time (I live in the northeast so it’s getting pretty cold and windy) and it’s just a perfect amount of moisture! My skin finally looks radiant, healthy and happy lol! Don’t sleep on this moisturizer you guys!!!

I was gifted this product complimentary from Dermalogica in exchange for my honest review. First let me say I absolutely love Dermalogica products. More specifically, I'm in love with the Biolumin C Serum so when the opportunity to try the moisturizer, I was absolutely thrilled! And I am not disappointed. My skin before using Dermalogica products was dull, acne prone, and quite frankly it looked old and dry. The one thing that I had not tried was their moisturizers. Of course after using their cleansers, exfoliates and Biolumin C serum my skin started looking quite nice. Adding the Biolumin C Moisturizer just made it that much better! The first thing I noticed about this moisturizer is it’s creamy, gel formula as I applied every morning. It was so nourishing to my skin and glided effortlessly as it was instantly absorbed. Right away I could feel it’s influence on my skin and it immediately felt as if my skin was perked up and invigorated! Highly scented. Photosensitizing ingredients. Migraine

I love vitamin C serums and creams. I have about three that are my favorites and I'm always trying to find something new. Unfortunately, this serum/ gel moisturizer is loaded with a lot of photosensitizing ingredients, fragrance, and unnecessary ingredients that detract from the product. Strong fragrance has no place in face products. My husband could smell me approaching after I put this on. It smells great, but it's not worth the migraine. Here are some of the culprits: Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Raspberry Ketone, Jasminum Sambac (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, My skin burned immediately upon contact with the serum. I tried to wait it out to see if I can get better, but then I developed hives. I still have them even after several hours and a Benadryl. I didn't even go in the sun, so I can't imagine how horrible the reaction would be if I had done that. I received this product for free.

Instantly hydrates and brightens

I received this moisturizer complimentary from Dermalogica. This gel moisturizer is just perfect for my skin. My face has some dark spots and especially now during the colder months my skin looks dull. This lightweight moisturizer really helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots and to brighten my skin tone. I am using this gel moisturizer in the morning and at night after cleaning and toning my face. I apply a small amount of the gel moisturizer and massage it gently into my skin with my fingertips. It goes on smoothly and it is absorbed fast. It has a nice lightweight texture. It is lightweight like a serum and moisturizing like a cream and has a beautiful light orange color. So I mix a few drops of face oil (I use YTTP's Superberry Hydrate oil) with the the BioLumin-C moisturizer in my palm, mix it together and apply on my face and neck. It glides on much more smoothly and my face feels wonderful. I apply my sunscreen after and everything sits in harmony on my happy face. :)

Overrated overpriced company

This was highly recommended by a Dermalogica rep. I find to be way over priced for the efficiency of the ingredients. Yes. It does appear to brighten up your face a bit but, it's very sticky just as the serum is. They both peel which is embarrassing if you don't wear makeup. I do like some products from this company. This I wouldn't buy again especially at the ridiculous price. If your skincare isn't working the way you expect it to, save time and money and see a dermatologist who will offer you much better advice based on the science and regulated facts. I did find the product to be much thicker than what you buy in the actual store. This may be the reason that I feel this way.
