I wish high-quality skin care companies like Dermalogica would understand the importance of making products without the added scent and fragrances. Yes, that includes the powerful aromatic plant essential oils that are essence and aroma by definition. This entire formula would have been perfect if they removed the Ylang-Ylang FRAGRANCE AROMA OIL. I am so tired of being restricted to using CereVe products, simply because high quality skin care products have to add the fragrance in for asthetic reasons. If someone wants to drop their essential oils in or spray some fragrance on themselves, that should be an individual choice.. I love this moisturiser. It can be used for night with an oil over it, but during the day it is excellent as the final layer, and if needed it also takes a layer of sunblock in its stride. It does not make my skin shiny, and it delivers when it says it provides continuous moisture - if anything, a quick spray of Dermalogica's multi-active toner gives me all the extra pep I need for this moisturiser to last me the entire day. I do believe my fine lines have reduced after wearing this cream for several years now, and I often receive compliments on my skin. $1 per ml is extremely expensive in my books for face cream, but this product is honestly worth it; if I could give more stars I would.

Love the way this makes my skin feel. I seriously can't stop touching my face but I can't get over the smell. My face literally smells like dirt when I apply this. It's my first time trying it so I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to smell or if I maybe got a bad tube. Each time I've used this I washed my face with Tula cleanser (which smells so fresh), used the Daily Microfiliant, and then applied the Smoothing Cream. Not sure why it smells like dirt but I'm going to try and exchange it. If it weren't for the bad smell I'd give it 5 stars.

The product itself does exactly what it says, however my skin did not agree with it unfortunately. I am giving it away because I would hate for it to just sit and collect dust on my vanity. It broke my skin out to the point that people would stare and ask if I knew I had a rash all over my face and neck. I will say it is moisturizing! I love this brands entire line. This one product just did not work out for me personally. I would like to note that I do have sensitive skin. I wish I could attach the two pictures to show the breakout. Buyers just be careful if you have sensitive skin. Not sure how it reacts for others with normal skin. I wish I could return but I cannot find the box the product came in :(
I have been using the skin smoothing cream moisturizer for a few years now. I tend to have more dry skin with a few oilier areas around my nose and chin. I am also 25 and battling a little adult acne. Overall I like that this moisturizer helps to moisturize where I need it without being too heavy for the oilier areas. my only concern is that with my most recent purchase the moisturizer had a different scent… not sure if they changed an ingredient or what.
I’ve struggled to find the right moisturizer for my finicky skin for years. I’ve tried higher end products and drug store brands, which have worked alright. My new esthetician introduced me to Dermalogica and game me a sample of this smoothing cream along with a few other products. She originally recommended that I try this moisturizer only in the evening for my acne-prone, oily/combo skin. I followed her recs but worried this cream would be too heavy. My skin loves it! I now use it both AM and PM. I was excited to buy a full size bottle. I also tried Dermalogica’s active moist moisturizer but discontinued after 2 days. This smoothing cream works much better for me!
I've used other dermalogica products in the past and I've always been really impressed. This cream was on sale for half off so I decided to give it a try. I did not like this at all, I actually ended up returning it which I rarely ever do. First off, it smells terrible, kind of mildew or a dirty wet towel or something just not good. Secondly, it just didn't do much! I had to use a ton of product and I didn't even feel like it really moisturized my face! For the price (even at half off) there are way, way better options..

This face cream is the best cream I have ever used. I have dry sensitive skin and find this works for me. I have used so many other creams and always go back to dermalogica skin smoothing cream. It's a light to medium cream. It hydrates and feels so comfortable and don't get that tight feeling. I love the product and have used it forever, but did they change the scent or formula? my most recent purchase had a different scent. I have combination skin (oily around my nose and chin) and am a 25 year old female. I like that this moisturizes where I need it but isn’t too heavy for my oily spots. I use this once after showering (which is where I cleanse). I have a photo with the amount I use for my face and most of my neck.
