Dermalogica UltraCalming Cleanser 250 ml

I caved in and bought the huge size of this cleanser when my skin randomly became red, irritated, bumpy, and super textured one day. I do not typically struggle with skin sensitivity or symptoms like that so I was in panic mode and this cleanser truly saved my skin (along with the calm water gel from Dermalogica as well). It’s not going to lather whatsoever, which is something I wasn’t used to because I like cleansers that lather. However I used this morning and night to start off, and then once my skin got better I began using just as a morning cleanser to start the day off. This really calmed and soothes my inflamed skin and I absolutely cannot go without it anymore. It won’t strip your skin but will give you a good cleanse (even if it doesn’t feel like it).

Great product that I have bought this twice!

I love this product so much! The scent is so soft soothing of beautiful lavender. It's not greasy and doesn't dry out face/skin. Leaves the skin nice and clean feel. I suffer with rosacea helps calm down inflammation, irritation and redness. The redness doesn't go away but helps it be less flared up. Definitely would recommend this for anyone with rosacea and sensitive skin. This product I used at night and morning to help my skin. I also use the serum of dermalogica ultra calming.

This was one of my original staple products from years back. When I switched to a cream cleanser I will admit at that time I just didn’t get the ethos and spending 2-3 minutes applying cleanser in a damp face before washing it off was just outlandish to me- and do I used it then like any gosming wash- rub on , rub around face applying it all over- wash off in about 90 seconds. Didn’t give it the full application I should have. Then I switched to a different organic cream cleanser when my skin went into extreme adult cystic acne mode - desperate to find a remedy and willing to spend however long applying cream cleanser if it meant it fixed awful painful scarring lumps erupting on my face. Only now- maybe 5-6 years on when the cystic acne seems to have long gone and the cost for that organic cream cleanser is a major factor- did I return to look at Dermalogica alternatives. Saw comparing my organic cream cleanser yo ultra calming that the organic one was twice the cost, weighed up my skin being acne free for a few years- bought the ultra calming. It feels thin/ watered down in comparison to the other organic brand I’ve previously used. There’s an overall feeling that ultra calming is not providing a comparable deep down moisturising pore cleanse.

I like it but i'm not hooked

I like that this product is so light on the skin. My face doesn't feel like it is dry, tight, or stripped after I wash it with this product. However, I do often use a cleansing balm to break up eye makeup before cleansing with face wash. Well, when using cleansing balm, I usually have melted black makeup all around my eyes then I rinse, and go in with face wash to get it all off and to clean my whole face. Well, I have found myself questioning if this is actually cleansing my entire face because this often has a hard time cleaning the black makeup away and I still look a bit like a racoon. I believe this is cleansing my face as a whole or I would be breaking by now. I just have to take a small amount of product and lightly rub around the eyes to make sure it all ... MoreI like that this product is so light on the skin. NOT FOR SKIN!!

I tried this cleanser thinking it would actually DO WHAT IT SAYS “CALM” .. boy was I fooled. It did the exact opposite burning my skin even more than what it already was from another product. My face was covered in small red bumps, it was completely desensitized irritated and inflamed. I’ve had only one other reaction like this and it was to Khiels 15 years ago I AM just now healing from using product 2 weeks ago. Ik this will not be the case for all but I caution you if u even THINK your skin is sensitive do it a loving favor and DO NOT USE THIS! Perfect For Me

I’ve been using this product for 8 years (more or less) and it is wonderful! It feels great on the skin, it cleans very well and it smells terrific. I have very sensitive skin and this is pretty much the only thing I can use for cleansing but I have no need for anything else. I don’t wear makeup very often any more, but I do recall that when I was able to wear mascara, i had to use a makeup remover before this cleanser in order to remove all eye makeup. For everything else, this does a great job. It’s perfect for me! I hope it never gets discontinued. I also use the ultra calming mist, the concentrated serum and the calm water gel. Love this brand!!!

Perfect for Sensitive Skin

I have complicated skin - scars from cystic acne as a teenager, rosacea, and I turned 40 last year so I want to fight the early signs of aging. This face wash has really improved the evenness of my skin tone. I have fewer broken capillaries and less redness caused by rosacea. I used this along with the Daily Superfoliant in the shower, and my cystic acne scarring is practically gone. Finding products that are sensitive for my rosacea and effective enough to fight signs of aging is a difficult task. This face wash is definitely part of my permanent skin care routine after having used it for the past three months.

This is simply the best face wash I've ever used. It effectively removes dirt and grime (and zinc oxide sunscreen!) without stripping the skin's natural oils. It is perfect for sensitive skin. If I had to compare this product to other brands, I would say it is less harsh than Fresh's Soy Face Cleanser. It is also similar to Cetaphil's Hydrating Cleanser, albeit slightly less moisturizing but also less likely to cause breakouts (Cetaphil's cleanser always leaves me with whiteheads, and I think it's because the cleanser leaves a film on my skin). Anyway, this is a great product overall - I highly recommend it. I'm happy to see that it has become increasingly popular with the Sephora crowd, because realistically, everyone can benefit from a gentle face wash. Really great formula, pump could be improved

I've been using samples for a couple weeks, so I've been using small amounts as she directed, and I'm really impressed with how my skin looks and feels after use. It's quite surprising to me to not have no redness after my skincare routine since switching to this product from another high-quality sensitive and blemish skincare regimen. I always thought my skin was reacting to the rubbing action, despite gentle efforts, but now I'm seeing that I can wash my face without "angering" it with this gentle cleanser. I like that the 16.9 oz bottle has a pump, but I wish that it dispensed less at once, as I learned from using my samples that I really don't need a lot of product. amazing

Bought this for my husband who has very temperamental skin. It can’t decide whether it’s dry or oily and the combination can move around his face which is the most bizarre thing. This has been absolutely amazing for his skin to the point where I am actually happy to say that he has better skin than me. It’s smooth and clear and even though he’s pushing 40, he’d pass for a decade younger with his clear baby face. I’m jealous but happy for him lol. Great stuff! He is currently on his third bottle but the results came in halfway through the first bottle.
