2m Hardwood Walnut - OMG What a Desk!

The packaging was exactly as described in the installation video on here. It took me around 45 min to put the desk together and about 2 hours for cable management ( I take this part seriously! ).The only challenge i faced was the cable management. The power connector cables and main controller took a bit of time to get in the right position and allow space for other cables. I do have alot of cables including XLR audio cables to channel in. I mounted my Thunderbolt 3 dock, Philip Hues light switch , and Guitar preamp under the desk with plenty of space to have the drawer, controller and leg room. When rising or lowering it is very quietThe desk is supporting easily 60- 70kgs including my 49 inch monitor, Ergotron monitor arm, Gaming PC, Speakers x2 and clamp stands , Microphone boom arm.Note - Be careful with Sharpe edged objects on the desk top, use a drill for Drawer . The Hidden controller does not fit the pre mount drill holes for the Default controller. You will need to drill these yourself.

After much research and comparing other desks, I decided to buy from Desky. I could not be happier with my choice. This desky is amazing! It looks fantastic and was super easy to setup. It's solid, and even when in standing position, doesn't rock much. I bought the 2m Walnut hardwood desk. The desk is so roomy. The motors are quiet and the transition of heights is silky smooth. It puts a smile on my face everyday when I use it. The cable management tray works well, but can feel a little clunky at times when unlatching it. The integrated power boards really enhance the cable management. We built a custom under desk PC mount to hold my oversized case. The shipping speed was next level too with everything arriving within only a few days.

Can’t believe I waited so long to purchase a Desky

My first standing desk was a manual crank from a certain flat pack company. It was an alright experience and wasn’t too impressed with it. Got by with a sit desk for some time until recently, my back had started to give me issues. That led me to reconsider getting a standing desk. My sights landed on Desky.Everything from order to delivery to setting up was intuitive (less one step, but that was my own fault). Having an electronic standing desk is certainly a different experience altogether. The colour of the Pheasantwood does add heaps of visual interest to my desktop. Whenever I share a photo of my desk setup, it has always been well received. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Desk! Small issue with pre-fabrication and assembly
16 April 2024

I love the Desky dual sit and stand desk and the accessories that I chose to go with it (monitor stand and dual arm). The cable management system is a game changer for keeping things neat, tidy and concealed. Desky fulfilled the order quickly and the instructions were easy to follow for set up.Unfortunately I did have a problem with assembly. The desktop comes pre-drilled/prefab’d with 3 holes on each end with which you anchor the desktop to the legs with the screws provided. It should be simple, but the measurements of the pre-drilled holes were off. I was only able to secure 2 of 3 screws on each end of the desk. Despite this pre-fab problem, the desk feels stable and secure.

Great overall!
2 September 2024

Desk took a while to arrive (longer than initial estimate) and communication could have been a bit better, I had to follow up to work out what was going on. Assembly was really easy, instructions and video were super clear. The walnut looks great, and matches my computer’s walnut pretty nicely too. I’ve still gotta upgrade a few other things but overall the desk is looking pretty handsome! The motors are reasonably quick and it’s surprisingly stable at standing height. The new control panel looks much nicer and works well. The Bluetooth is kind of useful for setting height presets with a nicer UI but isn’t really viable for automating height changes since it doesn’t stay paired with your phone, and using a Siri shortcut also waits for you to unlock your phone, so ... MoreDesk took a while to arrive (longer than initial estimate) and communication could have been a bit better, I had to follow up to work out what was going on. The main annoyance I have is the metal bar that’s just above knee height, and I forget it’s there every time I try to swap crossed legs only to get a solid reminder. Not sure how structurally necessary it is but even if the metal could be bent a bit in the middle to carve out a knee hole that’d be a big improvement. Overall really happy, though definitely an investment!

I’m in love

I can’t believe how much a new desk has improved my entire streaming space! I chose Teak to match my current obsession with mid century furniture and it is perfection! Building the desk was pretty straight forward as Desky provide both a manual and build guides on YouTube. The control panel feels solid and the noise is very satisfying when it goes up and down (not loud btw).I had one minor hiccup of not being able to screw the control panel onto the desk. But, after messaging the Desky team on Instagram, they replied instantly and steered me in the right direction (aka, a little bit of elbow grease goes a long way).I splurged by adding the x10 power adapter and integrated cable management channel and I’m honestly so happy I did. For a whole streaming setup (camera, audio interface, 2 monitors, stream deck, PlayStation , keyboard, and way more I can’t think of right now), there’s a SINGLE cable that runs down the leg of the desk to a power outlet. How dang satisfying is that?!^get an under desk PC mount to achieve ultimate cable management heaven.TLDR: this is the most expensive thing I own, but it’s worth it and I love it.

My Desky Dual Hardwood is the best desk I’ve ever used
25 May 2024

I bought a Desky Dual Hardwood Sit Stand Desk with a white-ash top, and I can honestly say it’s the best desk I’ve ever had. First and foremost, it’s functional and sturdy. I can comfortably work sitting or standing, and the desk barely moves (i.e. no wobble here). It’s very heavy and incredibly well built. Second, it is absolutely beautiful. The white-ash top looks amazing, and it has a very nice smooth finish. It’s a pleasure to work on.I previously had a cheap Swedish sit/stand desk with a hand crank mechanism and I rarely stood because it was slow and clunky. Now, I regularly stand throughout the day and I can quickly switch between positions. The desk moves smoothly and quietly.I’d also like to praise their team for the quality of the shipping materials. ... MoreI bought a Desky Dual Hardwood Sit Stand Desk with a white-ash top, and I can honestly say it’s the best desk I’ve ever had. Nice looking desk, except for rusted metal and large hole filled with resin
1 January 2024

We purchased a solid Saman timber desk, with integrated cable channel. The pictures online looked great and we have previously purchased from Desky (frame only). We just assembled the desk and noticed two things:1. a section of metal under the table is rusting and bubbling the paintwork.2. the 'solid' timber desk has a large resin filled hole in it. The hole is approx 5 x 6cm and filled with clear resin, so you can see through the desk to the floor. We would not have spent over $2,300 had we known we might receive an inferior desk. This is not as advertised.Let's hope Desky is good about addressing this issue.

Really enjoying my Desky
21 August 2024

I did a lot of research, a. lot. of. research. when it came to finding the best sit stand desk in the market. Yes there are ones out there that are cheaper but they usually come with stability problems, overheated motors, cheaper materials being used and the overall experience not worth the lower price. When I landed on the Desky I was confident I made the right choice. The experience is amazing. The motor is smooth. Get yourself the hardwood, you won't regret it, it feels lux and very sturdy. If you spend a lot of time at your desk do yourself a favour, get a Desky, you won't be disappointed.

Solid desk
29 October 2023

You definitely need the video tutorials as well as the written instructions when assembling. The video said it would take 30mins but mine took 3 days. I did have the cable management, monitor arm, and drawer though. It was challenging because at first, I was confused with the YouTube video for cable mgmt but that was because it was for Aussie power cables. Then I found the North American one and it was much easier. I still have little bags with nails and white things in them that didn't get put anywhere... it would be helpful if each box came with a printed instruction manual - only the main table top did. But, after all that, the desk is gorgeous and very good quality. It's heavy af and smooth and quiet when it goes up and down. Highly recommend.
