Destiny 2 Forsaken Legendary Collection Xbox One Game

For anyone who is looking for a destiny themed setting these digital files are a must have. They are nicely designed and high quality. My favorite part is that they are not too over the top. The artwork is detailed enough that anyone who liked destiny can appreciate, but not so complicated that it just screams GAMER posters. Anybody you invite to see the posters will likely be intrigued and ask about them. They are also just nice to stare at while you’re sitting in your room. I printed them out on 16x20 canvas and they came out awesome.

Litterly the only thing you'll get is the currently free to play content you can download right now ok whatever platform you play on for nothing. I'm appalled they're even selling this still at any price but for $60? This was the base game with no dlc that was outdated 3 months after release in 2017 and was discounted to $20 soon after. Also before the entirety of the content contained on this disk was removed it was sold for $5 for over 2 years and hasn't been full price in over 5 now, then it was offered completely for free for a few months before being removed. If you wanna try the game you can go to the Playstation, Xbox or Steam/Epic store on PC and download it for free right now, the same as you would get by purchasing this, and see if you then want to buy the current expansion Witch Queen or pre-order Lightfall seeing as how Witch Queen is nearing the end of it's year life with only 3 months left. This is an online only live service game that is always changing with content being added and removed constantly and this disk is just the launch state of the game that's been gone for over 3 years.

Excellent co-op gaming experience

I was a bit wary of an online-only gaming experience, but after some initial fumbling, Destiny 2 far exceeded my expectations.In typical Blizzard fashion, the game is a fairly polished product. There's an opening cinematic that motivates the plot and you're dropped right into the action with minimal hand-holding. You get a few solo missions and soon find yourself in the social space with other online players, which is where the fun really begins.As far as blending elements of RPGs and FPSes, Blizzard has done a great job of offering opportunities for increasing stats. Connectivity has been fairly reliable with infrequent drops (and yes, this game does always want to be connected to Blizzard's servers). Since this was a bundled game, I received a download code from B&H in my e-mail soon after the GPU shipped. The download and installation experience was a breeze.Where the game falls a bit short of 5 stars is the convoluted plot that makes just a bit more sense after becoming familiar with the previous installment. For a game that incorporates RPG elements and has so much capital in the way of interesting characters, this was the most obvious disappointment. My only other gripe so far has been the text chat, which is a bit lacking. Voice chat is an absolute must when playing with a fireteam.Overall, 4/5 for a pretty solid gaming experience.

Exciting game~

I'm a returning player to the world of Destiny. I really liked the first game, and my view on Destiny 2 will be more of the same - as it feels like a continuation of the first honestly. Destiny 2 feels more like an expansion v1.5 more than it does a complete sequel. Classes and combat seem to behave similarly as to what I'm used to. Destiny 2 seems more vivid, vibrant, and robust in it's visuals/graphics overall. Playing this game on a PlayStation 4 Pro, and a Curved 4K Ultra HDTV is absolutely stunning!Areas & Worlds don't seem as barren as they were in the first game either. The inclusion of a map this time around helps a bunch in finding my way around. The open world events are great, as the map gives a timer when they start/end - so you can prepare accordingly.One of the more noticeable improvements to the game are the Engrams. Engrams are now automatically decoded when you pick them up. You no longer need to store them, and go back to the Cryptarch to decode. Furthermore you no longer need to ensure that you're wearing your highest Light Level items (i.e. gear) to decode Engrams, in order to get better gear; The system automatically gives you the best chance of getting the higher Light Level items now (even from items stored in your Inventory).Now for the cons - which are pretty much the microtransactions this time around. I'll name a few here:• Shaders are now one-time use. Although they can drop randomly in the game world, they're a microtransaction purchase from the Eververse vendor now.• Sparrows (aka Speeder Bikes) aren't acquired until level 20. Although the Sparrows can be acquired randomly through playing the game, or through microtransactions from the Eververse vendor.While the Eververse Trading Company vendor still allows the purchase of the in-game currency Silver, you can still purchase Emotes. Emotes were a known a cosmetic item carried over from the first Destiny, so that's not really a surprise. However, the decision to add one-time use shaders is surprising since the system worked well in Destiny... there was no need to change it. This manuever by the publisher is an obvious cash grab to players, regardless to the fact that shaders can drop in the game - that's not the point IMO. If you've played Ovewatch, the purchase of so-called loot boxes will be familiar to you; Bungie is going the same route here, with random emotes, exotic weapon ornaments, shaders, sparrows, etc. dropping from opening these boxes with the purchase of Silver (from real world money).Overall the game feels more polished than the first game, and the exclusion of Grimore Cards was a good move. Game lore can now be learned in-game, without the need to use a website to look up information about what's happening with the story. Voice acting is superb, the music is wonderful & mesmerizing, and the cinematics are great. If you enjoyed Destiny, than you'll enjoy playing Destiny 2. If you're new to the franchise, you can still play Destiny 2 without the need to play the first game.With regards to PvP, there is no longer 6v6 - as it's now 4v4. While this is a point of contention among veterans of the game, it doesn't bother me since I really don't like to PvP. However, with a smaller team, things should feel more balanced (hopefully) - and less overwhelming going against a larger force. I personally like the decision, and this change may make me finally give PvP a try this time around.I give the game 4-stars overall, and I definitely recommend it. Especially if you enjoyed the first game. This is most certainly not a sequel though, but it's more Destiny goodness nonetheless. Two thumbs up!

Fantastic Franchise, Improvement Over First Title

The concept of having "lootboxes", or engrams available for extra purchases is definitely a hot topic. For this review, I will note that I am definitely a bit miffed by all of this, but I will not let it sway my view too far.The game itself is beautiful. Whether you play on the base PS4 or XB1, or you have the advanced capability of the PS4 Pro, or XB1X, this really shines. Performance has been pretty stable since day 1, and has only gotten better. The few glitches that I have encountered have not been game-breaking, and actually were just kind of funny. By the time Bungie had added The Taken King expansion, they had dug themselves out of the hole, for the most part. But this time around, things were pretty solid from the beginning. Granted, they have tweaked a few things now that the first expansion is out (a separate purchase, FYI), but it mostly works just fine. Characters have been consistent, believable, and enjoyable, especially considering that this is primarily a first-person-shooter. Mechanics have to be solid, and story comes second, but they've stepped up to the plate this time.Packaging is okay. The cover art looked nice, at first, but has become somewhat dull. And since the install will require the same storage as the blu-ray holds anyhow (plus patches), you might be better off with a digital copy, if only to free yourself from having to switch discs. That is up to your preference with discs, having the ability to resell the game, how often you use the disc drive, or play other games/media.Overall, I'm willing to give it 4/5. The mechanics are beautifully handled, the story is great, the graphics look SO much better than Bungie's first Destiny, and the promise is that there is more to come. However, the kickback comes from the shenanigans about certain items being available from purchased engrams, and consumables (like shaders now), being limited, compared to the first game. Between the semi-pay-to-win silliness that Bungie seems to want to continue running, the current attitude toward "lootboxes", and some serious issues that have yet to be completely addressed regarding leveling, item drops, etc., I have to take it down at least one notch. BUT, it's still a great game.

Root of Nightmares

Usually single player in Destiny. Always wanted raid gear but being a busy professional makes it hard to meet up for fireteams. The service was very professional and was able fulfill the raid request quickly. Snap shots of the open chests. Would highly recommend for difficult tasks that one wouldn't have time to master.

Much like true-MMOs such as World of Warcraft, if you don't buy the latest update, you're going to be left out in the cold with nothing to do.So, if you're keen an a RP-lite 1st person shooter and have a decent number of friends also willing to plop down the cash, Destiny 2 is a worthwhile buy. The only thing keeping it from being a 5-star release are the short base game and the fact that the first paid DLC will already be a requirement come next month. Sure, console players had 3 months to kill in the base game, but PC players will only have 1.

Trials of Osiris

I simply do not have the skill, patience and willpower ((especially the skill)) to consistently play Trials in an attempt to get to the lighthouse. It is such a headache and chore for me to do especially compared to the rest of the game, honestly I think it might genuinely be bad for my heart too. Point is, using these guys lifts that HUGE weight off my shoulders. It is such a relief knowing that when I get home from work, I'll log onto a complete and ready flawless card and I can just go and pick up the loot. Allowing me to use my precious time to go and do the things that I actually enjoy in the game. Thanks for all the cards guys, keep up the phenomenal work. 👏

Trials of Osiris - Flawless

These guys are no joke, straight professionals! They got me two flawless completion with my pve titan during the chaos of the weapons glitch and i didn't even have any blue prints for the glitch to level the playing field. This was my first time giving my login to anyone and I was very nervous about it. They gave me the play by play through text and email, never felt more comfortable. Logged into receiving 3 adept igneous hammers, a few messengers, an immortal, and the dope bear armor. Been solo for years and I suck at pvp... I'm grateful for their service, never would've gotten to experience these weapons otherwise.

It is a very pretty game, but after playing for a couple/few hours, I realized there just wasn't anything I liked about it, so I quit.The game lets you create a custom character, but then it forces you to play in first person, so you rarely even see your character. I reached a point where I couldn't get past a certain enemy, and that's where I stopped to realize that I wasn't enjoying the game at all and quit. If I'd been able to set it to an easier difficulty setting, maybe I'd have pressed on farther.My brother loves Destiny, so it obviously works for some people, but it didn't work for me. The fact that they're giving the game away like Halloween candy to try to convince people to buy the expansions tells me I'm not the only one who feels this way about it. If you're not super-duper into FPS wild blasty games (methodical sniping was not an option at all for any of the content that I got through), think hard about paying any money for this game.
