Now when using the app with less than a month of usage this Starks flickering the dimness as if the battery is about to run out. The only way I got it to stop was by permanently disconnecting phone from app. Now it’s resulted to it’s 50% dimness with pure white light. If I had my reciept Would definitely without a doubt return. WORST PRODUCT EVER!!! I just installed 9 of these lights in my son’s bedroom. The features, dimmer, changing colour, auto functions etc are really impressive. Also the Grid Connect app, it takes a bit of getting used to, but once you’ve got it, it pretty easy to use. On the negative, you need to have good internet.

I purchased 6 of these downlights; a 4-pack and 2 singles. After installing, I discovered the two singles can't be grouped with those in the 4-pack, even though they have the same model number. Grouping is essential if you want to control all downlights together. After digging into the issue, looks like the firmware on some of the lamps is wildly out of date - v1.2.x, vs firmware on others v2.9.x. Speaking to support, firmware can't be upgraded, so no option but to replace the two single lamps and hope for compatible firmware with the replacements. It really beggars belief that this would be an issue, and the solution isn't great - just keep swapping them until you get a set with compatible firmware. there's no way to tell from looking at the box.

I have 17 in the house now and all work extremely well. easy to install and easy to connect to the app. recent app upgrade saw the connectivity issue gone. Would highly recommend this product.
A month ago I bought two of these, a bit skeptical first because I read the reviews. It turned out to be an excellent product, both working perfectly. Good adjustment range of brightness, beautiful shades of colours. Smart control with Grid Connect App works very well and I am hooked now, have extended the Grid Connect system with a TV LED backlight strip. I am now extending with two more downlights in another room. It's great fun.
I bought 4 of these to test for my apartment and went back get another 8. They are working perfectly with the app, the app was not perfect, but does the job to connect to wifi. Once there, Alexa will be able to take care of the rest. Voice control very responsive. For some reason, Google home didn't work as well as Alexa, since I have both so it didn't bother me much. I would recommend this product if you have Alexa and voice control is your main purpose. The RGB color management needs some improvements but not a high priority for me.

My whole house is using the Grid platform. I have fourteen of these lights. Initial setup on grid app then linked with Google Home for seamless control. Poor reviews are due to people not understanding wifi and linking apps
Purchased 15 of these to upgrade living areas and theatre. Great value lights with excellent brightness, smart light features are good also. Uses arlec grid connect app and are google integrated. Pairing lights and switches was super easy on android (don't know about apple). Being able to set to any colour is awesome for game day, or just choosing the best white to make your rooms pop (e.g. warm white/cool white etc). Lights use standard gpo plug on the end which is good because you can test and setup before installing in ceiling and replacement is a breeze. Super happy with the end result. One warning however - 1 out of the 15 that I ordered had a fault where it had no yellow tone and white wasn't the same as the others. Easy swap with one under warranty however and it was fixed. And 6 months on still no problems. I installed the arlec smart light switches also. This way you can operate lights normally via switch or voice control (turns switch and light(s) on/off). But the smart switches will need extra electrical work as it requires an earth wire as well (so no easy swapout if you are replacing on internal walls that dont already have a conduit to run extra wire). Overall I give the lights a 9/10.
I’ve been following smart electronics for a while and finally theres a light I can 100% back. Extremely easily to replace existing downlights. Great price, readily available and Bunnings insures you are getting a working product covered by warranty. Also works amazing with google assistant. 10/10. Can’t fault.
