I am embarrassed to say I have never used a washing machine cleaner before so for me this was an eye opening experience.After using the cleaner my washing machine displayed an error code on the very next wash. The error code was for a blocked filter and pump. When I opened the filter and cleaned the outlet hose there was plastic and fluff and even a hair pin. The concept was inviting but after purchasing the product from Coles I discovered you need to use hot water hotter than 60 degrees and I do not have hot water access for my washing machine in my laundry. I was disappointed and felt it was a waste of money. I took the product to a friends house and used it in her machine instead as she had hot water access. After using the product to clean the machine it did not seem to be obviously any cleaner than before I used the product and the machine smelled the same also. Overall I was disappointed with the non results achieved and feel its just a gimmick invented to increase profits for Reckitt Benckiser the manufacturer of the product. I do not recommend wasting your money, time and precious water resources on this product

I cleaned the door seal and rubber with a straight solution after trying the diluted solution as recommended, neither way cleaned the dirt from the seal, quite disappointed. After the cycle had finished the machine smelt quite fresh, unfortunately this only lasted less than a day. To use this product once a month as recommended would work out quite expensive and personally dont think its worth it. Leaving the door of the washer open would achieve the same smell. It did clean the drum and was nice and shiny but thats about it. Disappointed in this product.

Followed the directions for my front loader, and put 250ml bottle into the machine for the wash cycle. Drum quickly became very foamy and flooded the floor. Be VERY careful if you have a front loader!!! Perhaps experiment with smaller quantities first.
This product is amazing for cleaning a washing machine. I love how clean it has got my machine - even the fabric softener and detergent compartments sparkle! The inside is spotless and the rubber seals are even clean from black mold like substance which I try and clean after every use but to no avail.My only negative was the extremely potent artificial lemon fragrance which filled my home while it the product was working it ways through my machine. I suffer asthma and breathing issues and couldn't breathe. I had to open the windows and go outside for a bit but I would but it again in the future as it got my machine that clean but I'd go shopping or something while it worked it's magic!
It is unique and one of its kind. It is very easy to use. The lemon smell is refreshing and it cleans the washing machine thoroughly, even the rim of lint scum around the glassdoor of a front loader. The machine can be cleaned with a short cycle eg hygiene(76 minutes) but it must be 60 degrees, like what the instructions say. It is obviously a strong detergent, yet it is not irritating to the skin.Now the down side. At $8 per wash, the price is a bit steep. The lemon smell does not lasts long, only for a day or two.
It is the first antibacterial washing machine cleaner I have ever used in my life; therefore, I cannot compare with any other products. It did the job in an excellent way and I am happy with the results (cleaner washing machin that smells good and fresh). The two things I wasn't too happy about is that you need to wear gloves whilst using the product (I have kids, so I had wait for them to be in bed) and that you have to run a full cycle on 60 degrees, wich seemed a bit like a waste of water and energy (with my washing machine, the 60 degree cycles are the longest and there is no short version). Otherwise, I was happy with the product, as it really took away the mold and the moldy odour that is typical of a washing machine that is not brand-new.

Bought the Dettol washing machine cleaner, as the brand I normally buy was out of stock. I specifically read the instructions because it was a different brand. Put the cleaner in the detergent drawer, as instructions say, and put my washing machine on a clean cycle. Came back to find my laundry floor COMPLETELY FLOODED! Massive clean up job, luckily no damage to the house or washing machine! DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE USING THIS AGAIN!!!
