We were really happy with the look & feel of the carrier when it arrived. The shoulder pads are comfy, and fit better for me(mom) than the Osprey we've used before.The backpack is easy adjustable when we change between tall dad, and a little shorter mom for example.We've only gone on 1 small hike so far, but it was a great success!One tiny thing, and maybe we've not investigated (or googled enough) is where to store the sunshade when you don't want it up.

I bought this in addition to another make so that we had one for each child as we walk a lot and we wanted to be able to walk for longer than even my older child can manage. I also wanted to be able to use it “around town” just for when it’s needed. My kids are 2 & 4 so fairly heavy and this one got the best reviews for carrying comfort plus has a higher child weight limit so will accommodate my older child for longer. It surpassed all my hopes. The centre of gravity is so much closer to my body that I barely feel either child’s weight. My younger one also frequently sleeps, face resting on the pad, something she never did in our “other make” carrier. Good mix between wearing comfort and size/weight. I also tried the deuter and mountain equipment coop counterparts and this one is clearly more comfortable. Can't comment on baby comfort comparison since he looked the same sitting on all of them. Lots of strapping and other adjustments which complicates things at times, but the customizability makes it comfortable. Compared to the other bags of tried weight distribution is a bit farther back, which means I need to lean forward more to reflect the centre of gravity shift

It is very comfortable to wear and is easily adjusted for any body size and able to transfer from women to men. It is Lightweight and sturdy. There are great pockets on the hips for anything from snacks for the kids to your sunglasses. The seat for your kid to sit in is easily adjusted and also easy to get your kid in and out. There is a ton of storage space on the back which is one of our favorite thinfs about this pack and a separate area to take a 3L water pack. Also love the new clip system used on the pack and to connect the sun shade! We have used other brands of packs and this has been our favorite pack. It was initially hard to convince myself to spend that amount of money on a carrier. I usually use a a simple carrier but this is perfect. It protects my baby from the sun and she is so comfortable in it that she actually slept during a hike. The storage on the bag is really good and the weight distribution is perfect bc I didn't feel exhausted or in pain. I highly recommend if you plan to do hikes throughout the year
THIS IS THE BAG! After extensive research and comparing between product sites, reviews, and blogs, the Deuter Kid Comfort came out the unanimous front runner. We have an active lifestyle and zest for travel, so needed something comfortable for not only us parents, but our baby too! We are more than impressed with the Kid Comfort! So far used for strictly hiking purposes, it has lived up to the hype! Great design, generous storage space, a sturdy kickstand, and of course COMFORT for both wearer and rider! We are heading to France in September and cannot wait to explore without the restrictions of a stroller!

I wear it mowing the lawn, walks, zoos/ attractions, etc. I really like that it has storage space so I can pack diapers and wipes and drink / snacks. Also, the sun cover is 🙌 you can also get a rain cover. Personally for hiking I prefer this. I have used a baby Bjorn for multiple hikes but I was sweaty and baby. The weight was distributed not as well as I'd like- it was mainly my back. With the Dueter, it puts more weight on my hips and shoulders which is so much better when carrying a heavier kid. We haven't used this yet as our baby cannot sit up independently yet. However, there are two cons I have noticed so far. The front of the sun shade rubs the back of my head and the carrier at the maximum torso length just barely fits me. I am 6' with a 20" torso length. Other than that the carrier seems to wear comfortably.
We welcomed our second child a month ago. My husband and I just started to hit the trails with our two kids, with my three year old son on my back. I was nervous the first time out, carrying a toddler with my body not being as strong as it used to be. This pack made it surprisingly easy. It's supportive with great weight distribution, it keeps my back cool and ventilated in the desert heat, it’s well padded for extra comfort, and it was easy to adjust to make it fit me and my son perfectly. I was impressed by the little extra touches: the large pockets in the waist belt to put your phone and camera, the super padded pillow for my little one to sleep, and all the adjustable straps. This pack is exactly what I need to get outdoors with my little ones. Definitely a fan!
Though there is significant cost to this item, it should last us from 6 months all the way up to ages five-7. The pack provides ample additional storage for child related needs. Further, the pack has what one would expect form a Deuter pack - many adjustments, capable of accommodating my 6'3 height. If you plan significant hiking with your child, this is a worthwhile purchase. Happy trails!
