Works making ice the size I choose in the background with only enough noice that I know it is working. Not quiet but easily ignored. Tells you when the ice container is full and ready to be emptied. Then goes on to make more ice until the water has been depleted making enough ice to fill a 4 litre container from one fill of water. A bit cumbersome to empty the residual water left in the catchment. Could use a little hose instead of having to move the whole ice maker to the sink for draining. Overall I would highly recommend this product. I have a small fridge and do not need one that makes ice or ice water.

I have been toying with the idea of buying an ice maker for awhile so glad i did The machine is rather quiet. It takes around 25 minutes to make a round of ice. The watertank is large enough to end up with plenty of ice. The ice maker itself is large so you need plenty of space on your bench and to store But i love it

I absolutely love this. We use it every second day to keep the freezer stocked with ice. It makes 24 cubes on the thickest setting in around 23 mins. The kids also love the thinnest cube setting, which they call "Ice chips" and love to munch on, which it can make 24 in about 11 mins.

It does make the ice fast as described. The downside is it is painful to have to keep breaking up the blocks of cubed ice it releases. I read it in the reviews but thought it won’t be so bad, but it is, especially when the ice does not freeze completely; still watery and then sticks together in a clump when you put in the your freezer and have to break up again. Be aware that although it freezes the water the unit does not act like a freezer, the ice will melt back down if left in the unit, even while running.
Good looking unit. Ideal size for bench top use. I used water from the fridge and even the first ice cubes were reasonably solid. I used the longest time setting which is number 6. It took approximately 20 minutes to produce good solid cubes that stayed frozen in the unit for a good hour. Easy to use. The only drawback for us is that you have to drain the unit after use. This means putting it over the sink and unscrewing the drain outlet and removing a small rubber bung. We are concerned about losing the bung and the unit leaking. Overall very happy with our ice making machine.
Best thing ever. Living on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland you need a lot of ice in this hot, humid weather. It makes is soooo fast, no more complaints as we used to have with the ice tray in the freezer running out and taking ages to make more. The advantage of this little unit is I use it when I need it and put it away.
The Devanti ice maker makes blocks on the highest setting. Any setting less and they will be hollow shells. It is not a freezer, blocks will melt if not removed and placed in your freezer within 6 hours. However the water recycles through and remakes ice blocks again.
Does what it says and makes lots of clear ice cubes quickly. Good for parties or in summer, or camping. Downside is emptying the unit in when you're not making ice, but overall, more convenient than manually filling ice trays. Value at under 300.
This is quite a nice ice maker. I like the "no moving parts" aspect of it as the ice shovel mechanism on the other styles seems very flimsy and failed on my first one. It's also far more adjustable for ice size instead of just having 2 or 3 different settings. It's not really a big unit for the amount of ice it makes, and doesn't make a lot of noise while it's running. The only downside is that the ice cubes are all stuck together, at least on the larger settings, and need to be broken up. If you're making ice to fill an esky this isn't really a problem, and it's almost a feature. And you can make them easier to break just by using a slightly smaller ice setting. I love my ice maker, I go through so much and it’s always a pain to have to make it manually. This gets used every day. Makes small ice in 9 mins, normal ice in 15 or large ice in 21 mins. Reasonably quiet. Definitely a great new addition to the kitchen and highly recommend.
