Must admit this was an impulse buy but it has proven to be indispensable. Very powerful light and sturdy. Not using it much as a handheld light, for spot lighting something I'm working on I use an LED headlight, but as an adjustable work lamp it gives great area coverage.

I had one of these before and used almost it daily for over 5 years and lost it so bought another. Much more practical than the square type like the 060, 74 or 77, and cheaper and being directional it doesn't blind you. 2 days after i got it a woman whos house i had been working in 2 weeks previous, rung me and said her son had found it in the loft so ive now got 2. My original one was the mark 1 and this is supposed to be brighter but honestly, i can't see any difference. Brilliant work light.

I have the previous model ( same number but series 1 ) where that one is 500lm on max, this one is 1000lm so twice as bright. Abbey Power are selling it for less money this series 2 than most are selling the series 1 for. Great build quality but then I am a little biased as I always buy DeWalt gear and usually from Abbey Power. I would highly recommend this product and the supplier.

If you already own any DeWalt 18 volt tools this is a great addition to your kit. The beam has a wide spread, and is ideal for working in areas such as lofts where there isn't any power supply for conventional lighting. Also, useful in the event of a power cut, as it provides enough light for a whole room in an emergency. Too expensive to buy as a one off item, as you need a battery and charger to use it.
Got this little guy when I was moving house, late nights in the dark add some rain and not fun. But I could see everything, had it on low for most of what we were doing and it was great, from backing up the track up the driveway to doing a last walk around it was awesome.. in the new house it's still coming in handy with lots of small jobs. on high you can see everything, on low you can see what you need with out being blind. the hook is very handy as well. we did 6 nights on a 5amp battery with no recharge.

Very good torch or work light, useful features such as pivoting head and retractable hanging hook and has 2 light intensity settings. Would be very expensive if you bought with lith battery and charger, but as a bare unit, good value and excellent build quality, I have spare batteries and chargers from other 18 volt XR Dewalt tools so all is good.
The light is very bright, just what I need as I cannot see very well in low light conditions. The only critisism I would give is, as someone else has said, that it is a bit top heavy. When it is used with a 2ah battery it can be easily knocked over. Obviously a 4ah battery goes someway to solving this problem, but this adds to the expense.
DeWALT have done it again, the always produce amazing kit and this torch is no exception. Being a plumber I often find my self in dark and awkward places and this torch is perfect for what I do. The head can be tilted to point down or varying degrees until its pointing almost straight up. This means you can always angle to head to point where you need it most. Press the trigger button to turn the torch onto its brightest setting or press it again to turn it to its economy setting. DeWALT say it has a 10 hour battery life on this setting using a 4Ah battery. It's IP54 rated so will withstand most splashes and dusty operating conditions. I've got nearly all of DeWALTs torches but this is the one I reach for most often.
This is the table lamp with enough light, very stable on the table, but the LED ist just a little too cold, and because of that it is maybe difficult to recognize a real color (one star minus). It is imposible to focus the light, but I know, it is table light which lights enough without any focusing. The battery (4.0Ah) lasts for a long time, it is really ok. The heavier battery is, the more stable the lamp is! I'm satisfied. It's much better than many others 100 lm classic bulb with focusing.
