Either is fine by me.If you’re buying this and thinking it’s going to last like your other DeWalt tools I fear you may be let down.On the other hand, I couldn’t find my DeWalt impact driver all winter. Turns out I froze it under the ice of my kids hockey rink when building the boards. Other than one led no longer works, and it’s a bit rusty, it works great.Maybe I’ll just put a fan on that impact driver for next winter, I know it won’t quit on me clearing a bit of snow.

Good: I have a number of Dewalt batteries and the quality is good but I would not say it is great. The variable speed trigger and speed lock give the user full power control. Great idea but mine speed lock was defective right from the start. Going back to the store. I expect stuff with Dewalt not to work so I love the 90 day free no hassle return. Does not happen much but stuff happens. Not a big deal for me as with othersBad: The unit works great at the start. The steam starts to wavier as you hear the air slow down as the battery draw is significant. Using 4Ah battery (new). Maybe a 9AH would be better but here is the issue with that approach. It becomes very heavy as you add bigger batteries for longer times. Already heavy to begin with 7.81LBS vs my gas version with gas at 7.5LBS. Fatigue is the issue for long yard jobs.Based on current use 10-15min max and the battery will be dead. I will use if for deck at 400 sq feet and front area 200sq feet. Any serious blowing for long durations. Forget about it, as you need gas in my view or many batteries. Now I guess I could strap on a few batteries on my back and switch out or go the cord version which works very well, but I sold that already. My gas version is lighter and lasts full blast for 45min, which is what I need to do my back yard alone. Then quick fill and off to the front for another 20min. I don't know how many batteries that would be but I know I don't have that many to use let alone keep charging.I will change out the broken one, as it is a great price on sale. Does the light work I need it to do. Yup that is a 5 stars for that use case. For serious long haul yard work. No way not today in my view. Job sites might be a good use case too. Once you get a serious amount of leaf mounds no way.

Gives a wider path and moves a larger area. The blowing power is actually quite good compared to my other gas powered blowers. Big plus no mixing gas and smelling like gas when you are finished.Another plus quiet enough the neighbours won’t get excited.I would give it 5 stars except it should come with the 10 ah battery not the 5 ah battery. The 5 ah battery lasted roughly 15 minutes of variable time while the 10 ah lasted roughly 27 minutes with 1 bar left on it.Not really a big issue if you are already married to the DEWALT brand and have extra batteries around. As ... MoreBought this to replace a 10 year old echo blower. Great blower but short battery life is expected
5 June 2023

Bear with be, this is a bit long and technical. Here's the deal, there are many reviews on the short battery life, but understand this isn't for fall cleanup of large areas. This tool works great for clearing out the garage, walkway, small driveways, decks, etc. I'm glad DeWalt chose high power over something that can't move much material...you need CFM to get work done. Now the point I'm making, is if you want to move ALOT of air, that takes, ALOT of power. Think of a boat in the water, it takes ALOT of power to push a vessel through the water, if you own a boat you know what I mean with fuel burn. The same applies but to a slightly lesser extent with moving air.Gas blowers are what's needed to clear large areas, why do you think the big blowers have up to 70CC ... MoreBear with be, this is a bit long and technical. Here's the deal, there are many reviews on the short battery life, but understand this isn't for fall cleanup of large areas. Not for trying to be loud, that's what it takes to overcome high air pressure and volume...AIR IS VERY RESTRICTIVE!. Something to think about if you want to go all electric.I also wish the battery life was better, but I can clean up my areas in a few min. The 450 CFM is nothing to sneeze at, that's a fair amount of air for a single 20V pack. This blower also dries the vehicles after a wash, gets the water out of the trapped areas. All in all, it's very handy to have around the house, shop, garage. Much easier than firing up a gas blower for small cleanup jobs.I just think many people don't understand how much power it takes to move air, if you want more run time, you will need to go with at least electric.

Lightweight. Air flow not that concentrated. Should last being DEWALT.
26 September 2023

I offer it is a a good one as it is a Dewalt. The air flow was not as concentrated as it could be and that slowed me down as I had to move the nozzle slower than my old AC unit. Battery charge does not hold as well as I think it should. Fan pulls lots of power. It was relatively lightweight and balanced well. Battery charged pretty quickly; need to have a spare ready and fully charged. The feel was of cheap construction. Maybe that is just because I am used to thicker plastic. Shrill noise so wear ear protection. I think it is worth the price if under $200 all in. Good for a quick job on your driveway, porch, patio or sidewalk. Not up to the job for any serious leaf blowing in your yard. The prices vary widely for this; so shop around. Overall satisfied.

Packs a punch and so much easier then gas

**Review: Delwalt Electric Blower**---When it comes to sheer power, the Delwalt Electric Blower truly delivers. If you’ve been on the fence about transitioning from gas-powered blowers, let me assure you – this one indeed "packs a punch." The force and consistency of the wind it generates are genuinely commendable. I was pleasantly surprised by how it easily competes with, if not outperforms, its gas counterparts in terms of sheer force.Switching over from gas also means you'll be saying goodbye to the repetitive tugging at a start cord, the gasoline smell, and the often finicky maintenance. The Delwalt offers a smooth start with a press of a button, and the reduced noise level is a breath of fresh air (quite literally!).However, there's one caveat that ... More**Review: Delwalt Electric Blower**---When it comes to sheer power, the Delwalt Electric Blower truly delivers. The Delwalt offers a smooth start with a press of a button, and the reduced noise level is a breath of fresh air (quite literally!).However, there's one caveat that potential users should be aware of. The battery life can be a bit underwhelming. On average, the included battery lasts around 15 minutes, which may not be enough for larger properties or prolonged usage. To ensure uninterrupted operation, I'd highly recommend investing in a larger battery. Doing so not only gives you extended run time but also ensures that you have a backup when one runs out.In conclusion, the Delwalt Electric Blower stands out as a powerhouse in the world of electric blowers. It's convenient, powerful, and environmentally friendlier. However, to truly harness its potential and for a hassle-free experience, be sure to upgrade to a bigger battery.

Total disappointment. Nowhere near the power they claim.
18 December 2022

I have Dewalt tools and I've always been satisfied with them. Since I'm part of the battery family I figured I would add this leaf blower. This tool is a total disappointment and I'd say their claims on 125 MPH speed and 450 CFM are outright lies. I have a 56V Worx leaf blower that has a 125 MPH speed and 465 CFM volume and there is NO comparison. The Worx tool just blows the Dewalt tool completely out of the water. They are not in the same league. I thought that since the specs were listed as almost the same that Dewalt had found a clever way to overcome the lower battery voltage using a 20V instead of a 60V. This is not the case. The tool is massively underpowered and it drains your 20V batteries within minutes. This tools isn't worth the money at all.

VERY POWERFUL AND LIGHT, EXTREMELY EASY TO USE!
7 November 2023

54 year old female here! I won this at my companies Safety Fair recently. I own 3 air blowers now. My first one I purchased years ago is corded. It is horribly cumbersome and heavy with bag. I have a pool and my electrical cord was constantly going in pool. Scary, then I bought a Ryobi gas with a strap thinking ok I can do this. It's very heavy and really hurts using it. I won this at work in a raffle. Thinking well maybe. Opened box up, charged the battery and OMG!!!! This is the BEST Blower I have ever owned. I attached battery and away I went. I couldn't believe how amazingly light it was to carry around, turn on and do yard clean-up., I am so in LOVE with this Blower. Never expected this must perfection in a blower. It is horribly cumbersome and heavy with bag. I have a pool and my electrical cord was constantly going in pool. Scary, then I bought a Ryobi gas with a strap thinking ok I can do this. Never expected this must perfection in a blower. We are a Dewalt tool family but for me being a woman and getting older I need something that I can easily use. Ladies and Men, this is the MUST have Blower for any homeowner of all ages. The force of the air and handling of unit is amazing. Yard clean-up is way better with this Dewalt Blower. I even used it to clean out my car from dirt and the dust under my couch in my house. We live in the desert and dust is everywhere. Love this blower.

Way Under Powered for Leaf Duty

I am a very faithful Dewalt consumer and don't want my review to reflect an inferior product due to the manufacturer, but to set expectations on what you are going to get with a 20V battery powered blower. If you need something to blow grass clippings off your driveway or sidewalk, this is your tool. If you are looking for something to manage a bunch of leafs/fall cleanup, this blower is miserable.I get ~10 minutes of full power run time on a fully charged 6Ah 20V battery. I tried a brand new 5Ah battery and found similar results. The 87 minutes of advertised run time is at the lowest setting, to which point save your money and use a paper fan to clear your surfaces. If you need a tool to really blow leaf's and debris, you better stick with gas or seek others ... MoreI am a very faithful Dewalt consumer and don't want my review to reflect an inferior product due to the manufacturer, but to set expectations on what you are going to get with a 20V battery powered blower. If you need something to blow grass clippings off your driveway or sidewalk, this is your tool. I was overly optimistic that this tool would be great, but was left quite disappointed. Again, not at the fault of Dewalt, but what to expect with a 20v blower. If I could return, I would.

Worked Great Until!!

HiUsed this blower as a lightweight unit to clean up dirt and various yard debris that got on patio, driveway and deck...etc. It was awesome tool to do the light work w/o having to crank up a gas-powered blower. Had it for about a year and everyone loved it. Well, it's great when it works.I have had many Dewalt tools, saws over the years and always got great performance and durability out of them. Well, this blower is not one of them. It no longer works. Very disappointed. It looks like a brand-new tool, but just quit. Will not respond when I pull the trigger. Replaced batteries with fully charged ones that work perfectly on the other 20-volt tools I have. It's not rocket science, it just died, and I am not sure if it's still under warranty or not. It's a good tool, but from what I have been reading, it looks like many people are having the same issue where the blower just dies and doesn't last.
