DeWalt 54V FlexVolt XR Brushless 52mm SDS Max Cordless Rotary Hammer Drill Skin - DCH773N-XJ
This powerful drill is equivalent to a corded machine thanks to the fantastic advanced 54 volt FlexVolt battery technology allowing a much higher draw than traditional 18 volt or even 36 volt power tools. With this much power in a cordless machine, DEWALT knew they had to step-up the safety, leading them to develop an anti-rotation system that detects if the user has lost control of the machine and immediately cuts power. They also improved user comfort and fatigue by designing the handle to be functional and ergonomic with a low 10.1m/s2 vibration level thanks to the handle "floating" on dampers. The DCH773 is driven by a brushless motor that gives efficient, smooth and reliable performance regardless of conditions and with lower maintenance requirements. The drill can be operated in rotation stop mode to allow it to be used as a light demolition hammer in brick and masonry. Please note, this is the body-only version and batteries and chargers are sold separately. Features: Replicate the power of corded with this FlexVolt machine. SDS-Max quick changing bit holder. Anti-rotation E-Clutch that prevents serious user injury. Floating rear handle & damped side handle for low vibration. Rotation stop mode allows it to be used as light demo hammer.

The Dewalt sds max drill felt like it was well made though pricey for a product manufactured in china.I bought this drill after reading the impressive specs in that it could be used with a core bit to drill a 150mm diameter hole. Unfortunately what Dewalt didn't tell you need a tct core bit since the machine has only 2 modes which are hammer drill and rotation stop for hammer chiseling. I need a machine with hammer stop so I can use my diamond core drill bits.Having used Dewalts smaller sds max drill which does have 3 modes including hammer stop, I was very surprised and disappointed that this bigger more powerful and much more expensive machine lacked the hammer stop mode despite being blessed with a variable speed control that the smaller machine lacked.
