DCB118 DEWALT charger is great. Charges in a few minutes. Has a fan to cool the battery. Had it about 2 weeks. Using to recharge batteries for DEWALT portable fan. The charger in my opinion is not loud. You can hear the cooling fan. Not noisy in my opinion. Flashing light indicates charging is ongoing. Steady light indicates charge complete.

Charges well and fast, but loud and it's VERY difficult to remove battery. Why does it need to lock the battery in? I'm forced to bang it on the table to get the battery out every time, very worried that it'll break soon. But so far so good. This came in pkg with 2 9amp 60v batteries. The batteries are great!

This is a robust.yet light fast charger for standard xr batteries as well as flex volt ones. Its great to have on sight as it goes from 0-100% on a 5ah powerstack battery really.quickly. I haven't timed it but I'm sure it's less than 30 minutes. There's a charge time table on its.co.uk so you can double check. Really useful to have one of these.
I got this a a replacement for my 4 year old charger that finally died after years of wear tear use and abuse. Without exaggeration I would say at least 5 thousand charged batteries. I had a pair of these fast chargers and they are absolutely amazing 9 amp hour battery in 90 minutes where in the normal 6 amp charger it’s 9 hours. Should this one last as long as the others. My money was well spent
The manual states that this charger will completely charge a 5ah battery in 47 minutes. In my experience, it beats that estimate. For me, as long as a charger recharges a battery faster than I can discharge one, it’s worth its weight in gold. And this one does that with no problem. The quality is there, as this thing feels solid. But, not gonna lie, the status lights are completely out of place on this thing. Don’t get me wrong, they communicate effectively, but they look like they came from a cold-war surplus store. Obviously not a functional deficiency, so no stars removed.
The DeWalt DCB118 20V Fast Charger worked just great. It charged two 4h batteries and one 9h Flex Volt battery in the time frame of about one hour to 1-1/2 hours each, which is faster than the other chargers I have. The charger itself maintained a much cooler temperature with the internal cooling fan, and automatically stopped charging when batteries were completely full. I definitely recommend this charger specially when charging batteries with 5h or higher amperage. My recommendation with Lithium batteries for a prolonged storage, is to always keep them charged between 50 to 90 percent of capacity to maximize the useful life of the battery.
The item was described correctly. I was purchasing this to replace exactly the same thing. My last one lasted for 20 years.
This is such a great charger, I have an older one that has one less little feature that these new ones have when it comes to the led indicators. It chargers my batteries pretty fast, it takes about 45 minutes to charge my 20 volt max battery's and it takes about 1 hour or so to charge my 6 amp 60 volt max batteries. If you have the 9 amp version it will take about an hour and a half to charge and 2 hours for the The 12 amp 60 volt max battery. I haven't tried the new 15 volt because it's a HUGE battery and I honestly don't think I will need it but if I do buy 1 as I'm sure it's going to be as expensive as one of the tools, I'll give you guys an update. Now I was going to buy the BIG charger that can charge 4 battery's 1 at a time but heard many negative things like 1 out of 4 charging ports giving out right after the warranty is over, I chose not to take my chances so I have 3 of these new chargers plus my trusty previous model of this charger from a couple of years back. I am extremely happy with my Decision to have 4 separate chargers individually plugged in to the wall outlets I have in my basement to keep my dewalt batteries charged at the same time. I recommend these to anyone who has the 20 volt Mac and 60 volt max batteries.
I've had this charger for a year now (came with my flex volt angle grinder)and Here's my humble thoughts . Pros , I can charge all my batteries on this unit so I don't need multiple chargers out. It does what it says and works well. Cons , very restrictive air flow which leads to the charger getting pretty warm and a constantly noisy high rpm fan . It can be modified(which might void your warranty lol) . I did mine , the fan runs at almost half it's speed , with a cooler charger with a tonne more airflow and not noticeable by looking at it.don't get me wrong , over all it's a good product . It can be improved in my opinion.
