Pros : a lot cheaper, work well enough with most Dewalt tools Cons : tools that draw a lot of power conk the batteries out fast or do a weird stop star thing. +Cons : batteries connection points get hot under load and can melt connectors in your tool. Conclusion : why not try some, there cheap enough

My Blower only works with a genuine battery my other tools work from copies. Problem is genuine battery price. Its no way twice as good as a copy! Why not 50% more instead of 100%.

The product description was accurate to the product received, the battery charged and has operated well. The battery seemed to be genuine and is a duplicate of the DeWalt batteries purchased with the tools.
I purchased just one of the 6AH batteries and did testing on it comparing to my original Dewalt 5AH, I used a dewalt blower which pulls high amps, and they lasted the exact same time approx 15 mins with the original finishing with slightly higher voltage, but for the price you pay this is fantastic, i use my dewalt tools every day on the job and so far they are doing fine. obviously i cant comment on longevity as i have only had them about a month. but i purchased another 3 of them all for less than one 5ah dewalt battery.
I have a DeWalt 18V cordless reciprocating saw. I use it mainly for pruning or thinning out small or dead and dying trees in a woodland. A smaller battery is completely useless if you are using your saw for any hard work. This 5AH will give you about 40 to 50 minutes of good hard work. When the battery gets to its last bar of setting the power can reduce substantially when doing any heavy duty work, so one might need to rather do lighter work at that stage. Have discharged it to empty about 10 times. Hopefully this battery will continue giving good service for a couple of hundred cycles. Only time will tell.
The DeWalt Battery 18V is a great option for DeWalt battery tools. I use my 18V DeWalt Battery in my DeWalt weed eater. The battery life lasts and I get lots of weed eating done before it needs to be recharged.
The battery fits and charges in the Dewalt charger. But it only last for one bar out of three charged before needing charging again with the Dewalt Framing Nailer this equates to about 12 nails before charging again
Genuine OEM battery that lasts the distance. Charges quickly on the standard DeWalt charger and lasts significantly longer than 3x fully charged DeWalt 2Ah batteries. Those are great when weight is an issue but 5Ah just gives the relevant tools that extra grunt to deal with tough jobs. The inbuilt charge status indicator is a great feature too. Don't get caught out by misleading adverts that suggest genuine DeWalt but are actually reproductions.
Batteries arrived in good condition when i put them on charge the over heat light on charger came on. I removed them straight away and put them charger again the next day and all was OK they fitted tools OK. but other then giving them a spin on the drill haven't used them yet
