Amazing battery. Run time on it is amazing meaning I only need one battery to run all my tools. So far has ran my chainsaw for almost two hours with a single charge and still on three lights.Definitely recommend if you’re liking for something to keep you going through a days work and more.

Not to mention it is powerful battery. The only reason I gave 4stars is because it is little bulky.Actually I was under the impression that it will be the same size as the 6Ah, however, I am using it with my jigsaw, so infect it is ok. I believe I was lucky enough to get it at a very discounted prise from FFX. I definitely would recommend.

Ok batteries I suppose, was expecting much better run time from them to be honest.. I’m running on the new Dewalt 250mm battery mitre saw and I’m getting just under a days work out of one fully charged battery, it does all depend on what you’re cutting and the sharpness of the blade in all fairness, those two factors play heavily upon its performance.I’d like to see how the 12 amp stacks up against these, not willing to pay the price tag currently though.Over all they’re pretty good batteries, and the price I paid for them both on FFX was very reasonable.

Its a big ole beast compared to standard 18v 5AH so be prepared for that. Its packs a hell of a punch though, awesome on blower and hedge trimmer. Ive a 4 hole to core drill through some 9 solid brick so will use on SDS drill. Apart from that Id think this is a bit chunky for normal hand tools. The battery indicator is very handy too. Im loving wireless Dewalt kit and this is a great addition to the collection.
DeWalt went one better with the XR Flexvolt battery system - my purchase of an 18/54V 9.0Ah battery has already paid for itself - extensive run-time (I didn't need to recharge the unit for a whole day on the site), &, given its flexibility in smart recognition of the tool(s) used - both 18 & 54V, it offered unprecedented duration, even thru' a schedule of heavy duty drilling, sawing, & fixing of materials; of course, there are many variants in the Flexvolt series, from 2.0Ah to 9.0Ah, but whatever job you're undertaking, there's going to be a battery to suit same. No-one else comes close to cordless power, & it is why I choose DeWalt for both domestic & professional builds.
It appears to have more power than the 6amp batteries and it should for the price. (Not cheap) But the amperage stated only applies in the 18v tools. To get the true amperage the 6, 9 and 12 amp numbers have to be divided by 3, ie, 2, 3 and 4 for 54volts. The 12amp battery is extremely expensive.
9 AH 54V comes in really handy. Ive got a lot of batteries and if they are not in a tool being used or at full charge, they are on chargers. I never run out of battery power and the 9AH is really good for lasting a long time. They are heavy though and thats the trade off,
Brilliant quality built battery.works great with my xr tools also to give you lot more run time on circular saws and angle grinders etc.charge pretty quick with quick charger so cannot complain overall.
The Dewalt 54 batteries are great when you need the power when first used with 18v dewalt tools but after time the battery will mess the drill and the impact driver up . The drill and impact will work but when used will drop in power as the revolutions spin the drill . A bit like it hesitates and comes back . Dewalt need to create a 54v drill and a 54 impact driver because it does not work with the 18v tools as it will wear out something in the drill . I love my Dewalt gear but this is my only complaint. Keep safe in these covid times . Dewalt 54 works well in only 54v made tools which will last longer than putting it the 18v tools
Recently changed all my tools for makita to Dewalt due to circular saw issues changing every year! kit came with 4ah batterys which are very poor compared to makita batteries, 4ah battery barely runs radio all day and very poor in circular saw. one 4ah battery would last all day in makita , Dewalt I use 2 4ah, so decided to buy one of these which last all day but thats it so technically it lasts as long as my 4ah makita lasted in circular saw.
