I bought this Dewalt green laser with 3 lines to use it for my electrical work and any other home projects. It’s OK for the price. I wish it had a lock in pendulum setting so when you have to reposition the tripod for a precision measuring, the pendulum does not project the laser line all over the place. It’s a little annoying to wait few seconds for the lines to stabilise with every little movement of the tripod. The green light is pretty strong, even with the daylight in the room and even in the distance. The magnet is pretty strong. The batteries last pretty long. Overall, I think it’s a good product for the price you pay comparing with Bosch or Milwaukee.

Great Versatile Laser
2 June 2021

The third line on the side isn’t something I use often but it’s one of those things that are invaluable when needed. Worth the cost over a two line just to have for those instances. The green line is seriously bright, way better than red lasers. It has really good visibility in everything except the bright outdoors. A detector is a must buy accessory if you plan to use in those situations but that’s true of any laser level.I also prefer to use a tripod, while the magnetic bracket is nice, I don’t often have many options to use it in the world of residential reno. Buttons are simple and the housing of the laser is plenty sturdy if cared for.

Great Visibility!
25 April 2021

Great visibility is normal lighting situations. I can use my work light and still see the line. The vertical plumb line is great for setting light fixtures and adding in studs for a partition (this is my favorite cause use all three lines in this situation far better then getting hung up on strings and the laser won't trip you either).Horizontal line is great for hanging electrical boxes, marking line for stud drilling, even hanging blinds.I like using both vertical and horizontal when lining up a door frame, wall studs, and sub-panel that I had to recently add to a home office.About to use it on my next two AC installations for mounting indoor and outdoor mini-split units.I can say this is an awesome laser.I do wish I could use it in a angle situation ... MoreGreat visibility is normal lighting situations. Like adding a pendulum lock to hold it in position for transportation and non level situations like already built walls and trying to match the same crooked look.Pendulum could really do with a position lock. The wall attachment bracket needs some work. Like for screw attachment, top hole is blocked by metal plate used for magnetic attachment. Top notch should be the same as the square notch in plastic bracket. And why do I need two different screws to attach it?The bottom hole is too big for a drywall screw. Needs a lathing screw or other wide pan head screw. Top one can't fit a 5/16 self tapper or lathing screw. So I use the most common, drywall screw for top.Kinda annoying. Please fix that.I will add pictures and possibly a video later.

I love the ability to shift the line after hanging
12 May 2021

This laser comes in a robust plastic case, with real latches, and hinges (none of one piece plastic cases that break with time). Feels very solid in the hand. Markings/buttons are clear and easy to read/identify.The green laser is noticeably brighter and easier to see, including outdoors, than my red laser from another manufacturer. I like the mounting options, and I especially like that you can shift the vertical line by a few degrees once you mount it to an object - that gives some additional flexibility, and its a great feature I haven't seen on other devices.Battery life seems OK so far, I like that it uses AAs rather than proprietary Lithium, as this makes for a smaller, lighter unit.

Needs a Cheat Sheet

I have a familiarity with basic laser level devices, but this was my first professional-grade laser level device. The packaging and carrying case were superb, and are perfectly capable of protecting the laser level in transit. The device itself is excellently built, with robust mounting solutions and satisfying buttons and knobs. While the knobs and buttons had a pleasant haptic feedback, I would have loved to see LED lights which would correspond with specific laser lines. I often find myself clicking the wrong button to turn off a laser. I imagine that, if I were to use this device daily and interact with the buttons often, then I might subconsciously know which button corresponds with which beam alignment. I often find myself clicking the wrong button to turn off a laser. I imagine that, if I were to use this device daily and interact with the buttons often, then I might subconsciously know which button corresponds with which beam alignment. Until then, I would have loved to see LED indicator lights for active beam lines.Since this laser level is my first to self-level, I would have appreciated a small beep or audio feedback when the device was not within the 4 degree tolerance. During my initial trial, I was worried that the blinking I saw was a result of shipping damages. Once I had successfully positioned the laser level within the tolerance, the blinking stopped and I was happy to see solid, consistent beams.During preliminary trials, I was frequently flipping through the user manual to troubleshoot. I would have loved a dedicated "first time start-up" pamphlet to reduce confusion from flipping through the user manual. Alternatively, I would have also liked to see a larger user manual, as the diagrams and step-by-step tutorials included in the user manual are not conducive to readability. When a step-by-step tutorial is spread over two to three pages, its very easy to get lost where you are in the book. As for the diagrams, I recommend a magnifying glass to understand the labeling and distinct features.Overall, the laser level performed brilliantly. I was extremely pleased with the consistency and dynamic range of operation. The only thing that I found to complain about was how hard it is to familiarize yourself with the machine based on the included literature and user interfaces. Once you figure out how to work the device, the 3 Line Green Laser Level is a knockout.

This laser is very well built and has some nice features. As a comparison I also have the Dewalt red Crossline laser, and while I love it, this green 3 line is superior in many ways. The much wider arc in the lines plus having the vertical lines for use as a plumb bob in a sense. The green laser is highly visible and the fact it is also able to be read by the laser detectors makes for a lot of uses for this laser. Both it and my Dewalt Cross line are very useful tools, but this model has more visibility and many added benefits. Simple, Easy and Game Changing

I live in a home built in 1910 and just about everything needs an update. The bathroom was first and the 3 Line Laser Level allowed me to visualize how the tile and wainscoting would align with each other. Because the level uses lasers that create visually guides on the floor, walls, and ceiling at the same time, I was able to step back and look around the whole bathroom and make sure everything was aligned perfectly. I was then able to lay all of my tile and install the wainscot accurately. This would have been a nightmare without the laser level.Durability: The case that it comes in feels incredibly durable and has strong latches to make sure it doesn't open accidentally. I actually dropped it while taking it out of my car. It fell onto the concrete and it didn't even leave a mark! Upon opening the box, I was shocked at how durable the Laser Level felt. The whole thing feels "protected" and I didn't feel like I needed to baby it at all.Ease of Use: Simple, simple, simple. I was initially worried that I wouldn't understand how to use the level but it's only three buttons that turn each line on and off. The lines will blink if the level is moving and will become solid when in place. You can't mess it up.Final Thoughts: I love this thing and plan to use it on every project. It not only saved me time, it gave me confidence in knowing that all of my work was square. I highly recommend it!

The self leveling 3-line green laser level is nice straight out of the box. It feels like a quality product in the hands and looks to be of good build quality as well. The battery compartment is a bit of a hurdle but at least the batteries wont spill out anywhere. I have yet to understand the adjustment on top of the device, as I get more use from it, I am sure I will figure it out but at this point, it seems pointless. The laser has three buttons, one for each laser line. It does self level when turned on (it's a internal gravity thing) and can be placed on a flat surface, on it's wall mount using magnets incorporated in the device mounting surface or on a tripod if you have one handy. I used it outdoors to see if it will be helpful placing stones on my next masonry project and I have to say I am disappointed that the line is not as bright as I hoped with the naked eye. No green laser glasses are included but I hear are available. Indoors, the laser is amazingly bright and almost too intense but it works well, is completely visible and covers a large area. It's a stout device and I will surely look forward to using more regularly when it is necessary. The batteries included look cheap so I recommend professional grade rechargeable batteries that will never leak acid to protect your investment long term. Lost two stars since it's not very bright and noticeable outdoors similar to red lasers.
