DeWalt DW1354 14-piece Titanium Drill Bit Set

I absolutely Love DeWalt Tools!! They are the Best, in my opinion. These drill bits are Awesome!! 😎 The tips do not break off (like some cheaper version wannabe DeWalt drill bits tend to do) . They stay sharp longer which makes for a cleaner, more even cut. Thus less splitting too!! I highly recommend DeWalts 14 pc pilot point titanium drill bit set!!

After one year

This is a nice drill bit set,they are sharp, the container is stong and will last. Could have been a better asortment of bits. It would be nice if Dewalt delete the 4 smaller bits 1/16, 5/64 and 3/32, and include two of each for the heavily used 3/16" and the 1/4" bits. Update - The 1/2" bit fell on a ceramic tiled floor from tabletop and snap in two.

Comes with clear cover, not solid yellow cover

This is my second set of these bits. I found the bits to be good quality with a reasonable life span. I was disappointed that the case I received, had the clear top, not the yellow top. I wanted it to match my previous set, but that doesn't mean the clear top is bad. I think most people would prefer it.

Dewalt Drill Bit Set for Wood, Plastic, Metal

Purchased this set because I wanted bits that will go through all common materials that I encounter working on household projects (wood, plastic, metal). Have experienced cheaper brand bits that fail especially with metal. These seem to be of higher quality then most, and they do a good job. Hopefully they will last through much usage.

Drill bit set that actually does what's expected!

Excellent product! I have purchased a number of bit sets in an effort to find a product that easily drills through Chromoly for our racecar nerf bars. This is the only set that has easily accomplished the task. The bits are sturdy and cut smoothly through even the toughest stock!

I work in Aircraft Structural Maintenance, meaning that I live day to day using a drill. At home I expect quite a lot from my tools. These bits stand the test. As long as one practices high pressure slow speed on steel, and high pressure high speed on aluminum, the life expectancy is outstanding! I purchased this set in 2009 and finally am replacing it with the same set now in 2016. That speaks for itself. Side note: if you plan to do a lot of hard steel (stainless) or titanium I would choose cobalt bits (material not brand).

Lots of little bits I’ll probably never use, but this kit earns it’s salt every time I strap up that magnetic screw holder. The compact carrying case is also A+. Seems durable enough, and fits comfortably in the carrying case which came with my DeWalt compact 20V Max drill/driver. Money well spent.

Reliable drill bits with a couple extra perks

I own and have worked with a pack of these drill bits for a while, and recently purchased a new pack of them so I could have one complete set at home and one in my traveling tool bag. Having used them before, I knew from experience that these would be good. My first set is still holding up and cutting just fine, which speaks well for durability.If a drill bit cuts well and doesn't snap on me, I'm happy -- but these bits have two extra features that I find are just icing on the cake. Often, I can just use one bit with a pilot point for a large-diameter hole in metal, instead of having to drill each hole twice -- once with a small bit and then with a larger one. Good bits are good for your battery runtime, if you're using a cordless drill and drilling lots of holes. Not to mention, good bits are also good for keeping your frustration low.The triangle shank is a little extra assurance that the bit won't slip inside your drill's chuck. Hex shanks also do this, but in my experience tend to cost a little bit more. That may not be a universal rule -- just my experience.As a parting word to anyone who might not know already, these bits are reliable, but I'm pretty sure they are not miracles. Any thin bit will snap if you don't drive straight-on, and any bit will go dull if you use it carelessly, especially in metal. Keep it lubed, and be careful with your speed.

They work, they help make holes, blah, blah...here's what you really need to know: *** The small bits don't snap! No breaky! *** I've been using the DW1163 and DW1354 sets for three years, and they've gotten much more use than any bits I've used in the past (new, big house, new, big projects). With every other set of bits I've ever owned (probably really cheap bits, honestly), I'd snap one of the smallest bits in the first one or two uses. Every time. With the DeWalts, they just go and go...pilots here, pilots there, drill, drill, drill, baby!
