Well packaged, nice and sharp, make that beautiful zzzziiiiiinnnng sound when running them through the thicknesser. A bit soft I've got a nick in them from just 2 projects running some hardwood through them. No nails so must have happened on a knot in the wood. Not a big deal as I've moved 1 blade across so it's all good again, but not the longest lasting blades. For the money, would definitely buy again. Reversible just like the original ones, I'm glad I got two sets. All photos below (except the finished product) are from the thicknesser only with no sanding.

These knives are complete garbage. The cutting edge has notches (actual missing material) and full of burrs. These are ground but never cleaned up on a stone. Only good for rough material removal. Do not buy these.

Good planer, like the integral blower, short piece of duct and attach a bag, good to go. Makes a bunch of wase and the blower spreads it everywhere, so use some sort of collection system. Shop vac is not enough to keep up on wider boards. It does produce a very nice cut, even on the 96 cpm setting. We use ours everyday in our small commercial shop running hard/soft Maple, Oak, Poplar and Cherry with very good results. Recommend this unit.

This planer should absolutely come with the "optional" infeed and outfeed tables. I was geting significant "snipe". Purchased the tables and leveled them and that took care of the sniping. Now it works great. Unfortunately it took me a few hundred feet of planing to figure this out.
It's the little things that count. Most other models come in 12.5 inch width. Having one more inch gives way to being practical when having a rough width. If there is a negative point, I would have to say that it does not come with table extensions.
Can't believe I finally got a dewalt planer. It works better than I had anticipated. Easy to use and set up! My dewalt planer is the perfect addition to my woodworking shop and the perfect father's day gift.
My Dewalt planer is ~ 10 years old. The original set of knives lasted almost 3 years, before I had to replace them. I thought that was pretty good service.This set of planer knives lasted about 1 week before they were dull. and had a few nicks in the edge. What a disappointment. at ~ $60 for a new set of cutters I'd have expect they lasted at least 3 months before the sound changed. I think there's something about the "hardened steel" metallurgy, or the temper, or the as-provided hardness & sharpness of the edges has changed for the worse.I will hone them, and try to get them back to the way they were when new. But I'm not happy.
The blades arrived 4 days after I ordered them on the Internet; they were surprisingly easy to install and, with the first planing job after installation, they proved to be extremely effective in providing a silky smooth surface on even the most rough-cut lumber. I have been very pleased with these blades & will definitely order replacements without hesitation, when they are needed.
Replacement blades worked very well, however a few of the set screws that hold the blades in place were a little bit of a problem removing. I had to purchase replacement screws from my local hardware store which worked perfectly. Overall very happy with my new blades.
did not last at all not worth the money, I don't believe they are even carbide at all. There is no seam where carbide was attached to the base blade and they dull as fast as the cheap chinese high speed steal. I tried to re-sharpen them on my belt grinder/sharpener , they are soft and grind away with ease. It's a scam
