Only 530mm long, minus rubber end caps. 40mm wide, 75mm deep cross section. Horizontal vial can only be viewed front and top from 1 side only. Any horizontal error is multiplied as you cannot rotate level to see vial. Fast bubble, takes a long time to settle. Slow moving bubble more accurate in my opinion. would not recommend this tool for Carpenters/Joiners, good for block work, bricklaying.

I am really pleased with this product. Its sturdy, easy for me to use and the magnified bubble is so helpful when I've forgotten my glasses! Slightly more expensive but it is well worth it, would definitely recommend to others

One of the best levels I have ever had, really well made and chunky, not thin and lightweight, the wide box section sits on your workpiece/brickwork and stays there and doesn't overbalance and fall off!!. So pleased with this level the same evening I went back online and ordered the 1200mm & 1800mm levels. Expensive, but the old saying "you get what you pay for" but you won't be disappointed, lovely to use.
I bought the 6' level on the strength of the positive reviews and have been very happy with that purchase. Decided to add the 24" version to the collection but was left absolutely baffled by the fact that the level had a twist in the extruded aluminium beam construction. It was pure conincidence that I actually found this out by having the level on its side and found it to be rocking. At first I thought it may be an uneven surface but I checked on 5 different surfaces with the same result. Very disappointed especially being a dewalt and the same as the longer one I purchased without problem. Top marks to Screwfix staff, returned without fuss - could see it was faulty.
Was cheaper than the price in the catalogue so seems good value. Solid and easy to read. The fact that the top rail continues to the rear of the central vial makes tracing lines much easier.The fact that I was able to order it late in the evening and pick it up first thing the next morning before a long drive to London was the real decider. Screwfix to the rescue!
I've got other dewalt tools and think they're quality so decided to go for this level despite the price which I thought was quite expensive. I'm not disappointed, you get what you pay for and this is another quality bit of gear. It's quite heavy but not too heavy. It's got a real quality feel to it. The hand slot makes it easy to hold with one hand while you run your pencil line across. The continuous frame on the top makes it easier for running your pencil line and makes it different from other branded levels. Recommended.
A very good level, however I think it would suit a bricklayer better than a joiner. Its a little bit slippery on wood to mark and a little too chunky to handle. Other than that its great! Very durable and solid spirit level!
Best level I own. As a DIY guy I obviously don't get through many spirit levels but I know quality when I handle it. The DeWalt 24" is a chunky Level with plenty of grip points and rock solid construction. Yes, you can get a Level for a quarter of the price but those will quickly not show true levels and what else do you need one of these for?
I thought for a long time about spending this much money on a Level, when you can get other brands for half the price. But you get what you pay for. This is a very high quality, sturdy Spirit Level. A considerable investment but well worth it.Like all Dewalt products, top quality and built tough to last.
