Out of about 1500 staples this past weekend putting up the vapor barrier in my garage ONLY twice did it jam, and I believe it was my fault for not applying equal pressure to it, and it didn't even misfire. Very good product, it does what it's suppose to do. Very easy on the hand also, no need to apply alot of pressure when squeezing. I'm glad I kept it when I bought it at Home Depot on a whim and returned the Arrow Elite I got onsale at another reputable store. Solid build quality, Dewalt is a name you can trust and it has a permanent spot in my toolbox!

A positive response to both product and people!

I’ve had this for quite a while and been very impressed with the effectiveness of the stapling action. Staples are well fitted without excessively punishing the material the staples go into. My one problem with it is that it won’t handle short strips of staples. after filling with a new full row I often get only halfway through and somehow a group of four or five staples has disconnected from the rest and the stapler refuses to staple. I can push and prod the staples and get a couple more out of it but then have to throw the last ones away and then the same problem recurs when that strip of staples comes to an end. I have tried many things but these won’t fire and it’s so frustrating to try four or five times to get one staple out. Great stapler!!!!

Handles better than a Stanley and is easy on the hands for siding, trim, and any other light construction need. The belt clasp makes it easy to secure for fast reaching and takes little or no effort to engage the press down lever to fasten material.Top notch work. Thanks DeWalt.

Reason for staple Jams likely and preventable

I bought this Stapler a week ago and it did not fire the first staple. Then I figured out by READING the INSTRUCTIONS that I Ioaded it wrong. I thought this like a conventinal stapler that loads staples on the top track. It does not and will not fire any staples from the top track. IT IS A BOTTOM LOADING DROP IN STAPLE SLOT TYPE that REQUIRES STAPLES TO DROP IN THE BOTTOM SLOT/GROVE. This stapler worked perfect then. Very powerful however only fired 9/16" T-50 staple 80% into hardwood Maple. I'm sure if I used Pine or Spruce it would have went in 102% as it has a very strong spring and is fairly easy to squeeze with a firm grip. I am somewhat weary of over filling the stapler slot as it leaves the spring always fully tensed and maybe that's why some people later get ... MoreI bought this Stapler a week ago and it did not fire the first staple. Any over stretched spring may develop lessened ability to supply the last few staples to the firing end so I always store my stapler only half full when storing it. I bought this because my old Arrow failed after 30 years and I like the change as this one feels a lot more sturdy and powerful and looks much cooler. I also think it might last longer than my last Arrow as I was disappointed that one didn't last forever.

Solid staple gun
1 November 2018

Just bought this staple gun from Home Depot and so far am very impressed. Have only used Arrow 3/8" staples for reupholstering an antique chair and like the way it drives staples leaving a flat surface. Really like the bottom loading feature, which makes it very quick to load. Haven't had any jams yet, but being able to access thru the bottom should make it easier to clear if it does happen. Can't speak to longevity, but so far so good.

Sturdy Tool
4 April 2019

This is a sturdy stapler. It is a bit on the heavy side and you have to mean it when you push the handle to discharge a staple but I wanted it work when I needed it to work. It's a bonus that it will take brad nails as well. I am hoping for a long and happy life :)

Total waste of money
13 December 2018

Bought a couple of years ago and it’s been nothing but a headache to use. Jams constantly. I have “repaired” it numerous times, due to the same issue of buckling or breaking staples where it has to be disassembled to get them out. My old Worn our Arrow is more difficult to squeeze but it still works better than this.

Quality product. Works well and is easy to use. Need to push hard on the handle to inset staple into wall. However, as long as the stapler is firmly pressed against the wall it’s easy to do.
