DeWalt DWST17806 TSTAK VI Deep Box

I have bought 2 tstak boxes from Ace hardware. The buckle to connect the boxes feel smooth and click really easily. However , I bought 1 box here , the buckle is harder to click. Feels like this is the kind of stock that walk in customers reject. So they sell it online. Other than that , the box feel Sturdy and good.

A little cheaply made.

Purchased this for a Father’s Day gift. Nice size/depth. The top tray is small but it seems like it’s designed that way so that you can shift it side to side to remove items and not have to return the tray all the way every time you want a tool at the bottom. Good thinking on that part. However, it’s plastic and the locks are too. They look metal but aren’t. The whole box seems flimsy. Idk how many or heavy a tool you can put in it. It looks good but it’s just okay.

Affordable and tough!

Other than the weak side locks these are really nice. I'm working on getting 5 stacks each for a certain trade. I'll start building my new home next year. So I should have everything I need by then.

Great box

I bought this a little while back because as a car enthusiast, I have WAY too much stuff..stuff being cleaners, wipes, tools, stickers, etc. This box is amazing because it fits everything and then some. I love the little carrying thingy, whatever you call it, the tray thing that it comes with also. This allows me to put everything I need in so they aren't scattered all over the driveway. 11/10 would recommend.

Great fit and finish on this box.

I used this box to store a craftsman belt sander. Fits just about perfect. The extra tool tray that sits in the top side of the box is handy. I use it to store the extra belts. I liked it so much I am looking to purchase the smaller version for a Dewalt oscillating tool. Super fast delivery...three days faster than stated.

Holds full size plunge router with room to spare

I needed a case for one of my older Plunge routers that never had a case. As a retired shop teacher and a RVer I take some tools to do projects on the road. This case is one of the few that will hold a full size tool. The tray is 2/3 the width so it still fits with the router in the bottom. I will buy the foam kit to add to this box. I also have a smaller box that locks to this one to that will hold accessories too big for the tray.

Wheels!!!

I invest in my tools which in turn is investing in myself. Thus I need a way to move my tools in a manner which makes them available and protects from negative people and weather. I had been using a tool bag for the last 10 years, but at age 58 I don't feel like carrying 40 pounds of tools to each location I need to work at. So, wheels are important to ensuring I do not overexert myself on the way to the job location!!! This unit is the first of three. Next, I plan on getting the three drawer unit then top it off with a screw storage system.

Works as I needed and very happy.

Works as intended. Needed a smaller box for more specialized tools. I use multiple systems and as one of the original storage solutions TSTAK still holds up to the task.

can not be attached to the tstak cart

I am super dewalt fan,but I am very disappointed with this tool box,is there anybody doing the quality control of this box,I was in the atlas tool store,tried all of this model box to attach it to the tstak cart,all failed,untill the staff using a heating gun then it worked. when I came back my house,released box and cart,tried to attach them again,no way,why dewalt is not going to sale this box with the heating gun?by the way,I bought the tstak box because my flex volt vacuum need a cart and a tool box,but this box is 0 point. I really love the tough system 2.0,wish there is any solution can attach my vacuum on my tough system 2.0
