Great Dewalt product as we would come to expect! I bought this particular stand for the long stand arms. I wanted a stand that could handle very long pieces of trim. My only complaint is that the arms will sag when they are fully extended. This prevents the trim from laying flat near the blade and prevents a precise cut. If I have the arms fully extended I often need to shim up the arms in order to correct the sag. Overall though Iâm very glad I bought it and would definitely recommend buying it.

I started to set this up and went to put one of the mounts on and the trigger felt weird then the "spring" fell out. It's a very brittle cheap metal spring. The rest of the stand felt pretty decent though. I contacted DeWalt to see if I could just get a replacement spring or mount and provided pictures. They started running me through hoops. I'm returning it to Home Depot and getting a Milwaukee for a little bit more. Home depot as the seller is great.

I have a LOT of Dewalt tools and equipment as I made the decision years ago to set myself up with one brand. Generally I have been pleased with my choice, however the awful mounting bracket that comes with this saw-horse system has given me some pause for thought. The lightweight cheap plastic clips which many have already pointed to, have both broken, and getting the saw on and off the stand is almost impossible without a second person. I have struggled with this for months now, but yesterday whilst fighting the darn thing, I dropped my mitre saw as I wrestled with it. There is no other choice than to use the Dewalt brackets which are expensive to replace. Very disappointed at Dewalt for making such a cheaply designed product which when breaks, prevents further use ... MoreI have a LOT of Dewalt tools and equipment as I made the decision years ago to set myself up with one brand. I love the design and light weight of this stand. Unfortunately, the mounting brackets are complete garbage. My kid has plastic toy tools more durable than this thing. The utterly astounding thing is that there were countless negative reviews from other customers with the identical experience and I purchased that stand anyway. What an idiot. Ok DeWalt seriously! I would be ashamed and embarrassed to put my name on something this crappy. Its an easy fix!!!!!! Why do you keep producing it? Enough is enough. For the next unsuspecting customer who is thinking they will ignore these reviews as just some disgruntled customer with a one-off experience you have been warned. Do not waste your money unless you have the ability to reverse engineer and build your own mounting ... MoreI love the design and light weight of this stand. Again like all the other reviews -my stand also has a broken clip making it quite hard to attach and remove my dropsaw from the stand. I have given it 3 stars because the other parts of the stand work well. I have all DeWalt cordless tools, a DeWalt thicknesses, the DeWalt saw bench and stand with the wheels, and the DeWalt combination dual power dropsaw. Generally i find DeWalt tools are well thought out making them userfriendly. The dropsaw stand plus the 54volt batteries do not inhance the reputation of the DeWalt brand.
I got the DWX723 stand for free when I purchased the DWS780 Miter saw. The stand was easy to assemble and seems solid, but it did not come with a locking locator clip. The owners manual for the DWX723 stand on the Dewalt site shows the locator clip on the parts list. The locator clip is not showing on the parts list in my owners manual and the clip was not included with the hardware pack. The locator clip is a safety feature and prevents the saw from sliding on the track while cutting. I'm surprised and concerned that my stand did not come with a locator clip as shown on the Dewalt site. I'm hoping Dewalt reaches out and sends me the missing clip. Otherwise, I'll have to search for the clip from a part supplier. The stand itself is of good quality, but the missing ... MoreI got the DWX723 stand for free when I purchased the DWS780 Miter saw. I will say that the design of this unit is above average but one of the internal flat spring clips used on the âsqueeze clampsâ on the âmounting bracketsâ broke as I was atempting to install the brackets on the rail for the very first time, right after I pulled them from the box and attatched them to the saw. Im sure Dewalt will reimburse me for or ship me a new replacement âmounting bracketâ compatible with this unit. I was even more surprised upon further investigation of the on line review page, that this is something that has occurred to a good munber of others who have purchased this Stand. It seems to me like Dewalt could have a string of faulty âspring clipsâ on their hands.
I wonder if Dewalt engineers ever try the products they design? I bought a new stand since my â98 model was starting to show some wear. I was excited to get the ânew and improved â model, only to be let down once i stared using it. My biggest complaint is the sliding material support arm lock. You lift the new plastic lever (replaces the old knob style) to loosen the lock and allow the arm to slide out. Push down to lock. Ok, great. Except that in lock position the lever is lower than the stands A frame. So when you carry the stand and slide it into your truck on its bottom, the levers have to be in the unlocked position or theyâll get broken. Each and every time i load up, an arm comes sliding out at me as im pushing it into my truck. I even tried to swap the old ... MoreI wonder if Dewalt engineers ever try the products they design? As others have stated the stand itself is very sturdy and functional the problem is the spring loaded clips that attach the saw to the stand. One of mine was shipped broken and the other one only lasted a couple weeks. The spring loaded clips have a lot of moving parts and are very fragile. Iâm always careful with my tools but wasnât able to keep the clips from breaking. Since I was able to find a pair of solid replacement clips on eBay I assume this has been a problem for a while now. The aftermarket clips seem to resolve the problem but for the price of the stand I shouldnât have had the problem to begin with. Dewalt needs to redesign the clips.
Pretty good stand. I was considering the roller stand for the 60v miter saw, but quickly realized Iâm able to load and unload the saw and the stand myself with this. For something as lightweight as this stand itâs extremely well built and has zero issues supporting weight. Beams slide out from both ends making this stand pretty long. Zero issues supporting 16â material. The stops for multiple same size cuts arenât the greatest and can vary your cuts a bit, but not something I find myself needing to do very often. Stand folds out and back up effortlessly and the handle is great for carrying it around. Definitely a great choice for anyone needing to separate there saw and stand for transport.
