The new 25 years old expression has been created by Stephanie Macleod, the Master Blender for Dewar's, and uses some of the company's oldest single grain and malt whiskies. A colossal amongst the Dewars catalog, their Signature 25-Year-Old is anything but straightforward. The color is golden yellow and the nose has a lovely immediate sweet and malty aroma. This shows as honey, vanilla, and robust bittersweet cereals, with a hint of golden syrup and stewed apple. Underneath are further aromas of delicate wood spices and soft dried tropical fruits, especially mango and pineapple. On the palate, this whisky feels slightly thin but has plenty going on. It is full of character and expressive notes. This complex malt is matured initially in oak casks before being transferred to finish the aging process, the end product is an accomplished smoky drop with rich notes of apple and honey. 3rd Place: Dewar's Double Double 25-Year Old The Signature – 90.03 pts.

Very smooth scotch. One of the fewer bottles that are actually worth the price. Be careful not to drink it too often because your everyday whiskeys in your cabinet start to show their price too. I would buy it again. Cheers!

The flavor, creaminess, and texture of this one are timeless.
Purchased the 15, 18 and this 25 to do a tasting between the three and to identify which if any should remain in my permanent collection. In order, my favorite was the 18, followed not closely at all by the 25, which in all honestly tastes exactly like the 15 which I really didn’t like at all. Even though between the 3 the 18 won, it will not be making the list of staple in my cabinet. Dewars from what I can tell is all talk and zero action. I did not find any of them smooth (as they claim obnoxiously everywhere). If you are looking for a blended Scotch in this price range, the Johnnie Walker Blue would be far better. Not impressed. Wish I could return it.
Dewars is known for its smoothness but this was so smooth that my first taste didn’t even register that I had drank it. A few more sips and the flavor was amazing yet subtle.
