I love these. I have rode bmx for over 20 years and have been wearing brown dickies for the majority of that time. I've noticed that the brown color is no longer available but there is a "skateboarding" version. Although they seem to be the same fit according to the size chart, I can say for certain they are not the same. Thinner material, snugger fit and more expensive. Please bring back the brown in the normal slim straight!

These pants are great, they fit well, they are comfortable, and warm but not too warm. There's some light pilling (a surface defect of textiles caused by wear) on the thigh / crouch area already after wearing them consistently for a week (I also noted some stretching of the seems, showing the thread, but it's nothing I am worried about currently). While this may not be a sign of poor craftmanship, or materials used: I am aware of it. The front waist of the pants sits higher than I personally expected. It does ride up over my belt, which causes odd bunching, and correcting every so often. It's not terrible by any means. I've been ordering from this site for a few years, and I remember they always sent stickers and coupons, now - nothing. And all the prices went up, and the material is thin flimsy twill, not the OG durable dickies material I used to get. The pants look good and fit good, aside from the crotch being a bit tight and sometimes uncomfortable. Overall meh, probably won't order from this site again.

I ordered 2 pairs of these (1 grey, 1 khaki)in my usual size, 29x30. Unfortunately they didn't fit how I would have liked. The Khaki pair was insanely tight around my waist and groin area but the Grey pair fight much better( still a bit tight but not nearly as bad). I really didn't understand this at all and am really disappointed because I wasn't able to return them and had to live with the fact I spent $70 on work pants I don't wear.
I love these pair of Dickies slim fit work pants. I think the normal non slim fit ones look like baggy pants. They are very durable and kinda stiff when you first try them on. I would recommend washing them first before wearing them and also, I would recommend buying a size up ie. if you wear a 34/30 get a 36/30 instead. They shrink over a period of time and they will eventually become a size 34 by the time it’s worn and wash enough. It would be nice to have a shorter seam length like down to a 26 or 28 for the shorter leg folks. Otherwise, good pants for automotive attire.
Only reason I’m giving 4 stars and not 5 is based upon sizing…In the regular work pants I wear a 42 in the hips, but somehow 42’s in the “slims” are significantly bigger…It’s awkward to have your pants fit tight and nice in the legs, but have your butt showing because the fit even with a belt, has your pants falling down constantly. Overall, I love these pants though! I wear them at work, when I’m riding with the homies, and when I’m doing whatever with the wife…So, still considered a win in my book.
I was disappointed in the delivery to be honest. I got my package way later than I expected. However, once I got my order, I put my slim fit dickies on and they fit me like a glove! I love the “fashionable but ready to work” look! Every pair of work pants I’ve ever bought from this company held up a long time and kept me satisfied with my purchase.
I normally wear Dickies 874 in size 31w 32l. I ordered these “Slim Fit” pants in size 30w 32l. My 874’s fit perfectly but are too baggy in the thigh area. That’s why I ordered the slim fit. These are huge! I have an old pair of 874’s in 32 waist that are not as big as these. All 3 pairs are this way. I washed and dried a pair hoping they would shrink some and no dice. What a waste. The zipper is also half the length of the 874’s. These are horrible and are no representation at all of the Dickies brand.
Ive been trying to find this particular fit for a long time. I started wearing Dickies in 2002. It was a BMX thing with a pair of Etnies Shoes. These fit right and not baggy so the pants wouldnt get caught in the chain. Would get the them at Goldman's in Milwaukee, WI ALL COLORS. Also Walmart had them in black, grey, blue, sand. Then Goldman's closed and Walmart switched to the goofy double knee and cell phone pockets, baggy as ever smh. Smart phones were not a thing yet and online ordering was not convenient. These are the perfect fit from my generation. Not skinny jeans, not baggy, not high waters. Simple, sleek and right. I wear size 34 x 34.
I wore Dickies every work day for the last 15 years. I won't any longer. I bought a couple pairs a year and a half ago and they pilled after a few washings. I hadn't bought them directly from Dickies so gave them the benefit of the doubt. I bought a few pairs directly from Dickies a few months ago and the same thing happened. They started to pill within a handful of washings. The old Dickie's from years ago that I keep to work around the house are in better shape than the ones I just bought. I hate to have to look for something else but, I'm not going to keep buying them only to get the same result.
