Bib Overalls? That doesn't sound very manly, but it doesnt matter much when at the end of the day I can take them off and have a fresh pair of clothes to drive home in without having to change everything I'm wearing. They save me time and money, and they are pretty tough too, so they meet my approval. Ordering direct from Dickies is much better than getting them from anyplace else.

Last year I purchased 5 pair of Dickie's Painter's Bib Overalls and unlike previous years where the overalls lasted at least 2 years before they started to tear at the thighs, knees, and in the seam of the seat. This last set didn't make it a full year before they ripped. The quality was just not there. I'm going to give it another try and hope that with this purchase that the fabric used is of a better and stronger quality. Photos will be sent later.

Bought these as a gift for my son. He has already bought himself several pairs. He's 6'1" tall; had to buy him only 34" inseam; sadly Dickies seems to have discontinued the 36" inseam overalls.

I've been wearing these painter's bib overalls for years now. I have several denim bibs as well. However these are my favorite. I like the feel of the cotton drill as it becomes softer after several washings. They go with any kind of shirt and I wear them as casual wear as an alternative to jeans. I love the extra pockets and I don't need a belt to keep them up. I will recommend you order them 2 or 3 sizes above your normal pants size for the waist sits higher than what jeans and pants do and they do shrink over time. The length seems to be a little long. I am 5'6" and the 30-inch inseam seems to puddle or drag the ground. Rolling them up in legs to having someone take up a inch or two takes care of the problem. Even with these minor issues, these are great bibs at a good price. These are the only quality white painter's bib overalls out there. Most of the others have went out of business or the manufacturer has quit making their painter's bibs.
Have a pair of these for everyday work and can't complain. I had to size up in order for my waist/thighs to fit, but thats pretty consistent with other brands of pants in that regard. I work outside and have had no problems with the airflow/coolness. My only comment is that the rigor of moving around causes the adjustable straps to consistently slide down to their loosest. Nothing fancy in terms of durability, I've managed to scratch a few small tears and loose threads around the knee area from concrete/roof work but definitely can't beat the price. I'll probably pick up another pair just to extend both of their lifespans.
I have worn bibs for around 15 years. With all the additional pockets, they make work tools easy to keep with me. With the newer dickies style, bibs elastic in the straps over the shoulder help them stay up and not fall down while you’re working. I still have one pair of the old ones. The new ones are much nicer.
I bought these overalls with the sole intention of dying them bright PINK for the CIBC Run For The Cure. I could not have been happier with how they turned out. The cotton took the dye wonderfully and the suspenders being elastic didn't take the colour and stayed white. I am so pleased with how they turned out and how they fit, other than the length not being offered a bit longer for the size I got for myself. I had so many compliments in the overalls. Even wore then to a P!nk concert and had people all over asking where I got them. And being it's the end of Breast Cancer awareness Month don't forget to book your mammogram.
I bought these for outdoor summer work as blue denim is too hot. I am sensitive to heat (get prickly heat easily) The material is lightweight, reflects sun yet is durable. Also, I have to wear a brace due to auto accident and the bib overall hides the brace. So I need a larger size which only Dickies had. However, the inseam length is now too long and I am having the length altered - no problem. My situation and resulting necessary size is rather unusual. The elastic shoulder strap is sweet. I am ordering another couple of sets when available. Frankly, I'll use my "clean" set for my casual wear with a button shirt over them for the time being.
I ordered my usual pant size and they did not fit - I had to cuff the bottom of the legs 4”! I needed to purchase a 2” shorter inseam - 32” vs my regular 34”.The overalls have 2 side buttons on either side - once I fastened all 4 I discovered I needed more “tummy room”. So I reordered a 42” waist vs. my regular 40”.Another hint- the shoulder straps ship fully extended and you have to slide the clip a lot to shorten them, to get the overalls to “hang” properly. Once I did all of that, the fit was awesome and very comfortable. I could easily sit, stand, and move about.I highly recommend these overalls- even if you are just a weekend painter!
These overalls are too big overall and baggy. I had to exchange and even when got one size down one fits okay and the other one is little tight this time. I was really disappointed that I had to pay for shipping costs. If the size is not normal it’s not buyers fault.
