While these don't have a flex waistband, I HATE flex waistbands, they are comfortable even with a harness for work on. Dickies makes well made products as my last shorts lasted around 2 years with daily use with a harness. Naturally when something that I like needs to be replaced the company no longer makes them. So I tried these. I am happy with them and will buy at least 2 more.... Show more

Dickies work pants and shorts
Everything was fine about this order except that I ordered the wrong style, loose fit was way too baggy for me. The return was absolutely simple, so I ordered two other styles to try them. As I’m not afraid to return any if I have to. I love these pants and shorts, as I do Hvac work. They are professional looking, durable and comfortable. Except this time I did get the double knee pants because I do work through this so if you work on your knees a lot like I do, you’ll want them. That’s what killed my last pair. Also once in a while a button pops off the waist. I’m hoping getting a size up will prevent that this time.... Show more

Front pockets too small, everything else great.
Maybe I just got a bad batch, but the front pockets in these are a joke. Too narrow, severely slanted. Don’t know what your supposed to carry in these, but my wallet barely sits below the opening.Honestly, everything else about these shorts is great! The cell phone pocket is super convenient, the belt loops are excellent (something Dickies does very well as opposed to many other manufacturers, but these front pockets KILL me! Need to be square bottomed, deeper and wider!... Show more

Great shorts, too bad they stopped making them
I came here to buy more shorts! These were the best! Very rugged and look good. I have bought many over the years and worn some out. They also used to be available in dark green camo, brown, and olive drab. They only have sizes 30 and 42 and only in pebble brown camo so It looks like they are letting this product die out. There is a slight size and fit difference between Dark green camo versus brown, olive, and pebble brown camo. A closer look reveals that Dark Green camo was made in Bangladesh, the others Kenya. I give the shorts 5 stars. Pictured is what I have left of this type of Dickies shorts.... Show more

I love your shorts. But, I have one complaint.
I have used your shorts, year round, every day, (no matter how cold it was) for every occasion for decades (except if someone was being married or buried, and even then it depended on who it was).I do have a complaint though. You do not make your Relaxed Fit Cargo Shorts, in dark brown. I'm forced to buy the Beige one and dye them. And dying them at home does not hold up like the dark colored ones you make. Why do you not make those shorts in a dark brown? You do in other shorts you make.... Show more

My Go-To shorts for a professional look
I love the loose fit, the extra large tunnel belt loops, and the lay-flat cargo pockets. I tried the shorts with the bellowed cargo pocket and found it caught on things and did not lay flat after a few washing. I move to the shorts with the multi-pocket. I really liked the look and the convenience, but it is located behind the side seam which causes problems when sitting in my car's bucket seats with a large cell phone in the pocket, which is just about all I use that pocket for.So I moved on to the lay-flat cargo pocket and I'm *loving them*. That pocket straddles the side seam which places my phone on the side of my leg, making it far easier to get it out quickly while in my car and it looks neat even after a number of washes. My only complaint is the lack of ... Nothing FLEX about them!!
I bought a pair of these a couple years ago for the FLEX fit. They were great. I bought what I thought was the same product but Dickies changed the product by a number and took the FLEX waist band out of them. This was very disappointing. These are not nearly as nice the as the others. There is nothing flex about these shorts like they are advertised to be. FLEX should be removed from the description. They are still a nice quality product but the wont stretch at all. Luckily they were on sale or would have definitely sent them back. I will not purchase again.... Show more

Perfect work shorts
Perfect fit. I've had Dickies long work pants before and they were always too big. I ordered correct size too. These work shorts are the perfect fit. They are very comfortable and durable. They were very affordable as well. It's hard to find good work shorts but I won't have that problem anymore...... Show more

Three Home Runs
I am going to lump the 3 pair of shorts together for this review. Each of the three hit the mark on intended use. The Carhart's have features that facilitate actual working environments with a relaxed fit followed by slanted cargo pockets with multiple pockets on the left side and a pencil slot incorporated in the pocket on the right side. There are also additional stitching and other "heavy duty" elements employed that Carhart is famous for. Next the Dickies. These shorts are noticeably in the "business casual" category reflecting closer fit, pockets on the rear without flaps, sleeker material with subdued diamond pattern stitching, and an overall reserved character. Lastly, the Lee Shorts. Again, a pair of shorts that fall clearly in the "as advertised" category. ... MoreI am going to lump the 3 pair of shorts together for this review. WORK CLOTHES
very impressed with these. I recommend them definitely. im a delivery truck driver amd constantly in and out. theyre durable. the waist is solid and not the fit style. and i like them alot. Theyre true to size and a bit snug at first but by the end of the day im tightening my belt a notch because they relax a bit. yet when your wash them they go back to waist snug pattern all over again. i use to buy wranglers but their cotton material snags easy and DICKIES are for the working people. they're similar to rip stop yet durable enough for the long haul. THANK YOU DICKIES!!!... Show more
