Diesel Spirit of The Brave Eau De Toilette 50ml Spray

I searched high a low of a perfumecologne of some sort for my younger brother who is 18 years old. The issue is, I didnt want to purchase something that was insanely intoxicating and seductive. I would prefer to smell something like that on a hot guy and not my own brother. Of course smells differ from person to person. After weeks of torturing my nose with scents I finally opted for Diesel Only the Brave. Its not a heavy scent, doesnt incite nausea. I think with all perfumes and whatnot you tend to pay more because of the brand so pricing is justified based on that, still expensive unless you get a discount. Not overpowering and lasts for quite sometime when applied. I think something like this suits a young person.

On my skin it is a perfume in every way, starts well and ends even better. I know a lot of the Diesel perfume, and the little we know already quite like and step to value the care that the house has since proposed the advertisements to the spray bottles of perfumes, in my opinion, everything is minutely thought with mastery and executed with extreme affection for the final public. I picked up a bottle of this cologne when it was first launched in 2009. At the time, I was pretty new to the world of cologne, and like any collegeaged kid I thought the bottle looked really cool. The initial spraying smelled nice and I decided to make the purchase.Today, about two years later, I have a hard time wearing the stuff. Interestingly enough, Only the Brave has good longevity, usually lasting a full day with only two or three sprays at pulse points. It also has good sillage as well, as it projects nicely even in winter weather. Moreover, I actually do get complimented on this fragrance whenever I am brave enough to wear it.I cant help but feel that the smell is overall too generic and synthetic though, and nothing really stands out to me. To be perfectly honest, I feel a lot younger wearing this, and I dont mean in the good Im 35 and feel 25 way but in the bad Im 25 and feel 15 way. In that sense, I feel I also should be wearing a pair of very baggy jeans, and a popped collar on my polo shirt while wearing this fragrance as I parade around high school after bathing in entirely too much of it.I dont hate Only the Brave, I just dont much care for it anymore now that Ive sampled and owned so much cologne over the years and found things that really do stand out and that I quite enjoy. I can still wear it, and I sometimes do, but I cant help but feel there is much better out there. Even within the Diesel house, both Fuel For Life Plus Plus have places and uses in my collection. Only the Brave doesnt so much anymore.Though, I still think the bottle is cool.
