For a sore throat I find this or Difflam throat spray to be a great help to get through it. They definitely take the edge off.

Great for numbing the throat when its sore. Also has a pleasant taste, unlike some of the lozengers.
I’ve had a cough the last week and this product has relieved my symptoms. Anaesthetic effect is welcome as it has soothed my “itchy” throat. The anaesthetic effect can last after the lozenge is consumed. I try not to eat or drink for 30 minutes or so after lozenge dissolves to maximise the effectiveness.
I really believe these logenzers are the best ! Even if I have a tickle in my throat they takes it away .
