It's perfect for those times when I want to show a little more skin, but still want to look flawless and radiant. Another great thing about this foundation is that it's long-wearing and transfer-resistant, which means I don't have to worry about it fading or smudging throughout the day. It's also sweat-proof and water-resistant, which makes it perfect for the summer months. Overall, I think the Dior Backstage Body and Face Foundation is a must-have for anyone who wants a natural-looking, flawless base. The formula is lightweight, long-wearing, and versatile, making it perfect for everyday wear or special occasions. I highly recommend this foundation and can't wait to see what other amazing products Dior has in store for us in the future! Gifted by Christian Dior Beauty

It gets even more dewy throught the day however the pros of this finish is that it never gets cakey or makeupy looking,It is very lightweight on the skin and dosen't look heavy. I know the old version had alcohol high on the list of the ingridients which wasn't ideal. The new one as it is marketed is clean beauty. I do feel my skin is more soft after wearing the foundation so it's a big plus. Paired with backstage primer I notice a little less shine but it dosen't control oils whatsoever so I might try to wear this foundation with something more mattyfing. I wish Dior would make a matte version of this because I have combo skin and it's too dewy for me can't imagine somone with very oily skin wear it without looking like a grease ball. I will continue to use it and try it with different techniques to make it last longer.

This product was gifted by Christian Dior Beauty BUT *I will always give and honest review* and holy…is this product good. I didn’t try the original formulation so I cannot speak to the changes made but this formula is so good. Feels and looks like skin while still providing some coverage that is breathable. My face doesn’t feel weighed down and lasts throughout the day without breaking up/separating. The fragrance could be a deterrent for more sensitive skin folks so that is a downside. For me, the smell isn’t too overpowering and I cannot notice it once I finish my makeup. Just be aware if you are more sensitive to fragrance. Great shade range for lighter skin tones and while I am a white girly, I would love to see some of the darker shade ranges improves. 30-32 ... MoreThis product was gifted by Christian Dior Beauty BUT *I will always give and honest review* and holy…is this product good. It’s 2023 shade inclusivity should be one of the #1 things needed when developing/improving any skin coverage products. If you can find a shade that matches you, I would 10/10 recommend this product if you’re searching for something light/buildable coverage that sits natural on the face.

A Beautiful Face & Body Foundation 💫
21 June 2023

I received this Dior Backstage Face & Body Renovation Foundation complimentary from Dior, in exchange for my honest opinion. 💫Dior Backstage Face & Body Renovation Foundation is a liquid foundation that blends seamlessly with skin, for long lasting wear that withstands extreme conditions. These include exercise, contact with water, heat and humidity. The formula is composed of 94% natural-derived ingredients and is infused with plant-derived squalane and hyaluronic acid. 💫The shade that I received is 3WO/Warm Olive. I was really hoping it would be a great match for summer, but I am still too pale. I instead have been using this foundation in the areas I would apply contour or bronzer and it has worked well. It can be applied with finger tips or a foundation brush. I really love how great the coverage is and that it can withstand these rainy and hot summer months! 💫I love how light this foundation feels on my skin, it doesn’t feel heavy at all. It also works really well on my textured skin without clinging to my dry patches. I definitely would love to try this is more shades to find my perfect match for the colder months. 💫

Body "foundation" it is not, face, not too bad

I had originally bought this product because I had an accident and had a huge blue/black bruise on my thigh that I wanted to cover this summer. It is promoted as medium coverage and to camouflage imperfections and waterproof, it sounded perfect. I took it with me on vacay thinking I was covered. Well, I started to put this on and first thing I figured out is my legs are much whiter than my face. I'm light not fair, and usually wear N1 in almost every foundation. This was slightly too dark for my thigh even with light coverage. I'm certainly not even the fairest in the legs either. After applying a couple different way, I realized even with it being slightly too dark, it didn't cover the bruise even in the slightest. It made no noticeable difference. After applying a couple different way, I realized even with it being slightly too dark, it didn't cover the bruise even in the slightest. It made no noticeable difference. What it does help with on the body is those little razor bump or pores in areas near your bikini line or ankles/calves. It does smooth those out and I do think it was generally waterproof. Didn't notice any transfer. I ended up using my concealer on the bruise. On my face, this matches well. I'd say this is not medium but light coverage, which, if I'm moisturized well and use a wet sponge it goes on like a nice wash of color. Even with fingers or a brush, light coverage. If you try to build up it kind of streaks. What it won't do, is cover any acne at all. I tried using a brush and finger to dab it on and it just sinks in like a wash. Doesn't cover really any freckles, melasma, really anything, just evens out your complexion. It does set on its own and doesn't need powder, I do love it for that because that is hard to find. I hate having to use powder, I'm 47. It doesn't fall into smile lines. So, for that I like it and I might buy some once a year for my face in the summer, since it doesn't need setting powder. But as a body makeup to cover a bruise or even if you are trying to cover even a freckle or pimple it didn't work for that at all.

Computer match does not work on Sephora or Dior
10 March 2023

I don't think that the description matches the shades on Dior Backstage. I debated a long time after testing this several times in the store. It looked in the store like 1 Warm matched my complexion on my neck, back of my hand, and inner wrist. However, when I went online, I kept seeing that I was matched to 2 Warm because it was 'light' and not 'fair.' I am usually never 'fair,' and almost always 'light' in the warm category. I also did the matches that Sephora and Dior's website both provide. Both showed that I would match to 2 Warm. Dior's website made my face look really washed out in the image-matching of 1 Warm. I put in Pat McGrath L 7 (my almost exact match), and Hourglass Ambient Soft Glow in 4. Both returned the results 2 Warm. Too bad -- I used my $10 points voucher on this, which was a waste, since those are non-refundable. I do not believe Dior got it right with describing 2 Warm as light -- as it is definitely *not* light, and very much *like* a light-medium. The matching algorithms should be a lot more sophisticated for people who often order online.

Mixed feelings

Hmm I have mixed feelings about this product. There's some pros and cons:Pros:-gorgeous finish upon application-true to the sweat resistant claim (I wore this several times for 8+ powers and not once did I have to touch up, and I wore it without a primer)-I appreciate the different undertones in each shade number (neutral, cool, warm, olive, etc.)-barely sunk into my smile lines-did not oxidizeCons:-after a few hours of wear, it began to look dry and cakey around my mouth (it's more noticeable up close but it's there)-felt quite dry around my lower cheek, jaw, and upper lip area (this area is a dehyrdated part of my skin and some foundations with intensify the dry, tight feeling) – it didn't look dry (except around my mouth)-I feel like it faded a little ... MoreHmm I have mixed feelings about this product. If you can make it work for you I would say go for it for sure, especially if you have combo skin. I think for me it might be a pass simply because of the dry, tight feeling on the bottom have of my face and the minimal lasting power

Pros and Cons on old vs new formula…
16 June 2023

For reference I have mature skin at 42, not too many fine lines but deal with texture and I have combo/oily skin. The old formula has been a holy grail but I do like this new one. Pros for the new formulation: I notice a bit more luminosity (soft matte) vs a matte dry down from the old formulation, but a con is that I think that’s why the old formulation was bullet proof. In humidity, the older formulation stands the test of time, the new one lasts well with sweat and humidity as well, but not as sweat proof as the old. Another pro for the new formulation, I do like the graceful fade a bit better and seems to be more forgiving for mature skin. I think if you have oily skin, you’re going to miss the old formula. I will say the new formula feels lighter than the old ... MoreFor reference I have mature skin at 42, not too many fine lines but deal with texture and I have combo/oily skin. I will say the new formula feels lighter than the old formula and much more comfortable. If you have combo skin or even skin that leans dry, you’ll like this. For oily skin folks you’ll probably find this on the ok scale. Still worth getting a sample to see if it suits your skin type. I still think this is a great summer foundation.
