Forever Undercover gives me excellent medium-full coverage. It lasts for over 12 hours on my skin which is about as good as any foundation coverage I've personally come across. However on the t-zone I do need to touch up with a powder by mid-afternoon or at the very least use some blotting sheets. I can also easily build this up to full coverage whenever needed. The pigment is quite concentrated, meaning I never have to use much, and in turn that means this 1.35 fl oz bottle is going to last! But for when I wore it, it seems so super nicely going on and was just absolutely so nice and smooth but oh my gosh once it was on my face for less than 2-3 minutes it was as if it made my face completely instantly greasy and it started to clump onto my face and like separate in certain spots even if I was to sweat for literally 2 seconds and I even had something over it thats supposed to make your make up stay on and not just rub off like this stuff did and its always done its job until I literally had worn this stuff. I would recommend prepping and priming your skin before application and using a setting power afterwards since it did begin to crease under my eyes. Overall, I think it’s a great investment and a perfect foundation for the summer season!

That is the only issue I have with the way Influenster does their quizzes because it is hard enough to find the right shade online for a foundation where we know the brand. Even though it is a Matte foundation, which I don't always do well with because I have really dry skin, it went on beautifully and felt very comfortable to wear. More comfortable than any other matte foundation I have ever tried. It also didn't give that super matte powdery or cakey finish a lot of matte foundations can give. It was much more natural looking while still giving decent coverage. Though it did take a little bit of work to build up to full coverage if I wanted it. But I did use a beauty blender and I think this foundations is one of those that would probably do even better being applied with a brush... I really prefer more of a medium coverage any way, and this gave that in such a perfect way. It covered my imperfections but also let the good parts of my skin shine through. I think those who have freckles and want to be able to get decent coverage in other places, but still want their freckles to skin through, could do that with this foundation. Because of the fact that it is so versatile and can be sheared out a bit to give a slightly lighter coverage or can be built up to full coverage. It held up well all day and stayed comfortable. I also loved that it gives the extra SPF protection because you can never have enough.

Don’t do what I did and panic before trying it lol. I used a sponge to apply it and found it was the perfect color, definitely a true neutral undertone. More importantly, it stayed the perfect color all day - no weird oxidizing or anything. The finish is incredibly smooth and the matte is a very natural looking matte. The major con I can see with this product is that it’s scented. I’ve never used a scented foundation before but my skin is generally pretty calm and I didn’t have any problems with it. It’s a pretty nice, not overpowering scent, but if your skin is sensitive be aware of the risk. The other major con is that it transfers pretty easily so you’ll need a good setting spray. I used powder and it still came off on my phone with a ten minute conversation. Basically fantastic product, doesn’t crease but does need to be set well, stayed all day on my (dry) skin. Am I a bit upset that I love it so much and I’ll be spending $50 a bottle on foundation for the rest of my life? Yes. But I can’t imagine being happy with anything else after seeing this in action.

The coverage on this product is great. Very buildable and even with just one light layer it covered up most of my minor blemishes. I did have to be a little more generous in areas where I had any larger protrusions but that's pretty standard. Even with that extra product I didn't feel like I looked like I had caked on a lot of product (also could be my amazing Artis brush!) I also love that it has such a wide shade range. My biggest pro for this product is that it has SPF 45 but that spf didn't make it feel thick or greasy. Coverage lasted all day even in the dry difficult areas around my nose. This is probably my new favorite matte foundation. I'll probably mix in a little of the Armani Neo Nude if I'm feeling like a more balanced finished. Product also oxidizes pretty well into my skin. The shade I was using was a touch ashy for me but it ends up looking totally like a second skin. Absolutely will re-purchase this in the future as my go to matte formula.

I usually use the Urban Decay All Nighter primer or the Dior backstage primer first with this foundation and it makes my skin look nice and smooth. Sephora’s website claims that this foundation remains flawless for up to 24 hours and while I haven’t left it on for that long, I use this with a setting spray and it lasts throughout the day. I apply this foundation with a brush when I’m in a hurry and it it blends well but I think the finish looks much better when I apply with a beauty blender. Although it’s very matte when first applied, I find that my skin starts to look shiny and oily after only a few hours of wear if I don’t apply powder on it and I don’t even have oily skin. I attached a picture of how oily my skin looks after 3 hours of wear. I like that it comes in a very nice, sturdy/heavy frosted glass bottle and looks very nice on the vanity. It’s a decent foundation and I know its a popular one but at $52 a bottle, I think there are other foundations that I like better than this that actually stays matte (like the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion $48 or Makeup Forever's Matte Velvet foundation $38 ).

Good coverage and texture

I bought this after going to one of those free make up courses at Boots where I tried on the Undercover foundation for the first time. I have been using Estée Lauder for quite some time so I fancied a change, and this foundation looked good on me in the shade 005 as I am quite fair. I wanted to buy it straight away however this shade was not in stock so I waited a couple of weeks and tried to order it online. There never seemed to be stock for 005 so I settled for the 010 Ivory instead, which is slightly darker so you can see the foundation line on my neck (although I try to blend it as much as I can). When I apply it, it goes into my crease lines before I've had a chance to put any setting powder on which is a bit annoying. It's not as smudge proof as the Estée Lauder double wear, for example I could wear a beanie and none of it would come off, but with Dior undercover I have those fabric lines on my forehead. If you do wear it for 12 hours or more it goes a bit cakey and your oils start to come out. Of course I got that with my old foundation but not to this extent, I feel like the oil control / mattifying effect could be better. On the plus side, it does offer great coverage, particularly if you've got red tendencies or acne. It also has a faint perfume smell which I like, it doesn't have that chemical smell like most foundations. It is very hydrating and easy to blend, not 'sticky' like cheaper foundations. I also use a flat Kabuki brush to apply it as I can get most of the foundation on my face and not trapped in the brush (you wouldn't have the same with a sponge and you would struggle for coverage). Overall I am pleased with it, I might buy this again but hopefully next time I can find the right shade.
