Dior Homme Intense for Men Eau De Parfum Spray 100 ml *Tester by Christian Dior

Dior Homme Intense was one of the first fragrances that pulled me into this whole fragrance obsession. The second I smelled it in the store, I was hooked—it’s so delicious and rich that I just had to grab a full bottle right away. It’s got this chocolaty, lipsticky vibe but still feels pretty masculine. I’d say it’s unisex but definitely leans more on the masculine side. That said, women can totally pull this off too. This isn’t something I’d wear on a regular day. It’s the kind of scent you want when you’re dressing up—like for a wedding, an event, or a date. It smells super luxurious and has this sexy, confident feel to it. Honestly, it’s one of my all-time favorites.

I really wanted to be all about this one. I almost did a blind buy on it. I think I'm glad I didn't. I'm kinda torn with this scent. With all the rave reviews on it I went in with higher expectations and was a little let down. The iris scent comes across a little earthy to me at first. Then comes the powdery chocolate scent. I've read some people saying it smells like a woman's make-up bag and now that's all I think of. I had a spritz on my arm yesterday and I took a nap and kinda kept smelling it from under the blanket. I'd kind of like it and then I'd kind of not. Once it really dried down then all I smelled was chocolate and I didn't care for that. Dior homme intense is a very artistic and mature fragrance. It opens up with a very unique smell that I haven’t smelled in any other fragrance before and I cannot quite explain it. Almost like a sweet powdery almost like makeup fragrance that is wearable on all seasons in my opinion. When it dries down is my favourite part. The powdery smell calms down and the sweetness tones up, almost smells like cacao on the dry down. One thing I would like to know before trying is that it’s not universally liked, you are going to get mixed opinions when wearing it, but I love it.

The iris is sweet and dense, waxy and powdery. Sexy and mysterious at its core. The lavender adds an aromatic almost herbal lift. The ambrette also known as musk mallow, lends both musky and chocolate nuances. I get a short lived pop of fresh juicy pear for about 20min in the opening before it’s swallowed up by the heart. The woody base is always there but far far in the background. The heart of this fragrance never really gives way to the base. The star of the show is the iris. Show stopping, head turning iris. In my opinion it lives up to the hype and then some. This DNA has been copied and used as an inspiration in hundreds of releases that came after and will come in the future. A contemporary masterpiece and a modern day classic. A must smell for anyone that wants to be knowledgeable about modern perfumery. First spray, first love type of scent. This invokes class and screams French. The quality of this fragrance is undoubtedly beautiful and has such an outstanding scent profile. First spray you are welcome by the lavender and iris combo which smells amazing with the added sweetness of the pear. In the dry down the iris is amped up and is the star of the show. However I pick up a slightly chocolatey note that is addicting. To me this is a unisex fragrance. I rate this a 10/10. The one thing that might off put people is what occasion to wear this. I say this could be worn in the office as the projection isn’t to heavy and it last over 8 hours. It really shines in going out for dinner, bar, and especially dates. First spray you are welcome by the lavender and iris combo which smells amazing with the added sweetness of the pear. In the dry down the iris is amped up and is the star of the show. However I pick up a slightly chocolatey note that is addicting. To me this is a unisex fragrance. I rate this a 10/10. The one thing that might off put people is what occasion to wear this. I say this could be worn in the office as the projection isn’t to heavy and it last over 8 hours. It really shines in going out for dinner, bar, and especially dates. I suggest you to buy this if you are looking for a sophisticated smell that smells like nothing in the market. One of the best designer scents ever!!

This review is actually for the parfum version. I own a couple of decants of the parfum as well as a 50ml bottle. I like the parfum better than the intense version because it has more depth, it is darker, the oud and woody ambers pop out more in a way I prefer, while the iris/lipstick opening freshens it up in a way that makes it suitable year round. The intense smells like marshmallows to me, it is lighter but I have another Dior fragrance called Bois d’Argent that I think is a better versions of the sweet fluffy woody category of scents. I would still give the intense 4 stars because it is harder to find and therefore more unique, and it does smell good. However for me there are two options that work better.

Nighttime only, creamy, iris bomb. Absolutely flawless to my nose. I'd dare say masterpiece. This is a very elegant avant-garde scent. It's reminiscent of an evil villain with that soft spot that causes everyone to empathize for them. Blended beautifully with the iris present from open to drydown with the woods pairing very nice with the fruit and musk notes. The iris in this fragrance is on the creamy makeupesque side. Sillage is above average with about 4-5 meter projection. Longevity is a cause of concern with this fragrance but I found applied on Vaseline or lotion it performed average around 5-6 hours. 100% worth the money if you are an iris fan. Not a traditional masculine scent by any stretch. S tier date night scent right there with DG The One Edp.

Excellent products. I ordered gifts for my daughter's birthday and my son's Christmas, and they arrived the next day. One of the gifts was the new Dior Homme Intense Eau de Parfum. Wow, it smells amazing, and my son loves it. I had two of the gifts engraved, which included the Dior Homme Intense bottle, and it looks amazing. I have read reviews where they say products weren't engraved, which worried me, but I didn't need to be. I am wondering if that is rival companies putting up negative reviews. The packaging of the products was really robust, and therefore the beautiful couture boxes and the products that were in them arrived safely.
